The *only* thing i worry about when it comes to this P1 project is that Freddy can handle it financially and mentally.
I don´t care at all how long it takes, i´m committed to watching all the videos of the process until he finishes it.
And that will be without a doubt ( already is ) THE most famous Supercar / Hypercar rebuild on all of UA-cam.
Yes it is a build that nobody else would even try so I will wait as long as it takes.

Anyone who's had the misfortune of working on a salt water flooded vehicle knows, if you turn off all the lights in your shop and listen really close, you can hear it corroding away .The only way to stop the gift that keeps on giving is to disassemble the entire vehicle piece by piece.Anything left behind will have salt residue .So yes, to do it right takes a lot of time. Personally I would have purchased a small above ground pool and used that as the first of many steps to clean and neutralize the salt water .But don't get it twisted, Freedy's P1 will be amazing when completed.
I love Freddies honesty and that's what makes his channel watchable. It's honest it's down to earth and it's very personable. That's what make him successful in UA-cam land. May it continue, him and MA are certainly brother's from different mother's and father's.

Having taken on a kit car build the actual build always takes longer than you think it should. For me thats why its a hobby and not a job. I love watching Freddys channel no matter how long it takes him. He shows the details you dont get on a 1/2 hour car build show. Great content.

I think the only thing you can do once the P1 is complete will be a Veyron . . . I see Ed is eyeing one up !! Id buy that P1 Evo.. The best thing was getting rid of that hybrid part, building a new harness while improving it, awesome. Those body race components chopped up and composed together….dunno man have too what and see. Id really think about dipping that body into a flowing pool of water, that sands gonna be there like forever, its just insane.

Flooded out P1
Dunsfold Aerodrome has a lot more to offer. Built by the Canadians during the second world war, it has a museum to the aircrew and wartime activities, test facilities for the Harrier jump jets, an abandoned house moved during the runway construction, a little nuclear bunker at the end of the runway, plus various aircraft like the 747 used for filming which you can go inside if you go on a Dunsfold Tour. Our coach driver was thrilled to do a lap of the Top Gear circuit, which is tucked into one little corner of the site at the end of the runway.
The airfield is closing and it being redeveloped for housing now as the 5 or 6 flights a day were not enough to keep it open. Various films were filmed here, including "Crash", with green screen background for the mountains and also some bits of the Star Wars films, where the staff said they laughed watching Chewbacca running down the runway in the rain. They said it was really funny watching people go out and towel him dry in between takes.

When the flooded P1 was at auction, Houston Crosta from Royality Exotics was already saying it would need all it wiring replaced. And the price it was sold was too high, unless it was for content.

If you cant put together anything it would be good to see you all at each others houses just hanging out having a barbaque, Id like to see chris fix and stig all together more. Still relativley new to Freddies content but he is already a legend in my eyes, had the pleasure of meeting him too recently at Shedfest and he was a true gent.

My advice for Tavarish is to keep doing whatever you want. It's your car, build it however YOU want. It looks like it's going to be amazing.
Amazing to think that Freddie who came from the same street as most of us, did it. His money his time his project, hell if he wants to plant trees in the P1 or make an aquarium out of it as there is already sand in it. Have fun spread your energy and look after yourself as rule 1 is and will never change * have fun.
I know exactly what Freddie is talking about when he says UA-cam done, I have seen this in a lot of rebuilders and one of the things I dislike the most. This was actually one of the biggest reasons I like Mat Armstrong's rebuilds because he didn't stop at UA-cam done.
As much as I salivate waiting for this build to be done, I know it will take an extremely long time to get this finished.
I love Freddie's channel . We all have our dreams of what the ultimate build would be...so some comments can be taken as or may be criticism, when you multiply one comment by the number he receives I'm sure it must get old. I personally am more than gratified he shares his passion, yes its monetized and I'm glad he has that option because its an expensive passion he has turned into a career. The quality of his work is fantastic, mistakes willingly shared as he shows his humanity and its more realistic that he does. The finger to the trolls !
Perry McCarthy is the original Stig. He was dressed in all Black on Top Gear. I met him at the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit on Vancouver Island this past Monday. What a super guy. He raced with us and gave pointers culminating in a fabulous dinner at a local resort. All sponsored by Three Point Motors of Victoria. He is a great guy and hearing some of the Top Gear out takes and goings on was great fun.

Very interesting to hear Freddy talk about the business aspects of the builds. I'd be interested in knowing howhee forecasts which builds will hit. He did very few videos on the 996 turbo, then the car sat for years and he gave it away. What were the metrics behind that for instance?
I subscribed to Freddy back when he bought and TT the Gallardo in his garage... and he was talking about manual swapping his SL55 and at the time I was wanting to do the same swap so was interested to see how it went... all these years later I'm still waiting but if anyone complains about the time it takes Freddy to build a car go watch DDE
