One thing I don't see a lot of people talk about is the fact that the large center pouch on the back of the rig has enough space it in that you can stick a 10x12 SAPI plate in it. It wont be retained by anything but if you were ever in a situation where you wanted armor but didn't want an entire plate carrier you could jam one in there. I'm sure someone could rig up a solution to keep in retained if they had the time and motivation.
@@bradylangdonshoots No problem! The reason for this is you lose fine motor skills in a stressful situation, so you don't need to spend unnecessary time trying to peel that thing back when applying the tourniquet.
I'd get rid of the canteen, for more ammo/rope/poncho/paracord... but then use a flat camelbak like the Thermobak, or Ambush. low profile and carried more water than the canteen without sacrificing waist space. which I'd want my waist to be slim as possible.
Thanks for the video; going to have to check out the TAP system now; maybe there is a more modern variant with laser cut molle/half molle slots, I've really enjoyed having that extra up/down alignment and even using 2 molle and my old Alice gear
Interesting take! What would you suggest people do? I always felt like hunkering down where I am felt like a bad choice as well. Lemme know your thoughts!
@@bradylangdonshoots keep up the good work. do some loadout vids, chest rig, plate, battle belt, Range pack, "escape in the moutains" - pack haha what ever, they love this stuff 🤩
Sounds like you're running steel plates in your plate carrier. Bad for your back and shoulders. I used to run steel plates in my plate carrier until I switched over to ultra lightweight polyethylene plates. There better than the kevlar plates we got issued in the Army. Try a pair of those lightweight plates and see if it helps you out.
@@bradylangdonshoots ,the need to get better gear is almost never ending. And a good comparison video never hurt anybody. Plus it's information that some people might actually need.
This is so well done. Glad you guys liked the TAP. Can't wait to see what's next!🔥
Thanks surplus daddy!

Thank you bro!! Means a ton from you!
Not sure why but youtube advertised you to me.
Glad you made it here 😊
Because its a sign you need to start prepping
Pretty sure this video hit the algorithm. I don’t typically look at kit on youtube, but here this video was, so here I am.
Just got a taps and was thinking of a similar set up and having your links to everything is perfect, thank you for that!
Send me a DM on instagram when yours is all set up. Would love to see it!
@@bradylangdonshoots I can definitely do that!
Just a tip. When staging your tourniquet, peel back the white time flap thingy. It's the proper way to do it.
Thank you for the tip!!

I can imagine. Def gonna be doing that on all my TQ’s

Walking through the woods and any kind of brush will rip a camelback. I get what you’re saying but the canteen is battle proven and pretty versatile.
love the video mate and a great set up!

Would love to see your setup man!
Also, Midwest Armor has their Recon Rig that is similar to what you’re referencing.
Video looks great! Love the set up! What kind of ifak would you recommend?
I typically carry the least amount of stuff I can. Amazon has great options!
Looks good to me
thank you !!

Where is the new videos?
Unless you have an actual prepared location to go to, "bugging out" is a pretty bad idea in most cases barring a few circumstances.

When’s that slick max vid coming?? 🥵
Soon.
It will hold EIGHT magazines
If you use the radio pouches then yes! Good point
@@bradylangdonshoots Yup. I'd rather use them and have extra mags and mount a radio to the molle. Just how I do it. Thanks for responding.
Thanks for the comment! Always helpful

Thank you dude. I’m currently working on getting a good pair of plates for my battle setup. Would you want a video testing steel vs ceramic?
