I've been referring this useful video for several times when designing my own customized services page. Btw, now ACF plugin can create custom post types and custom taxonimies so there's no need to install extra plugins. :)
Creating them is relatively easy, I find. It's the displaying them in Gutenberg that I'm struggling with. Adams video is great at showing how to set up an individual 'page' of one CPT, so the site admin can edit the page without screwing things up. I'm struggling with the 'archive' page, showing all the posts of that CPT.
Thank you for all the great tutorials. I had previously added a field to the default posts using pods. I am not finding it available under the dynamic options. What have I missed?
Great video thanks. How do I customize the ACF taxonomy archive page? So I created CPT using ACF, and I set up a taxonomy. When my visitor clicks on the taxonomy to see all posts with that tag, GeneratePress shows a basic page design. I want to customize that page. How do I get the ACF fields to display on that page?
Can you tell me how to make it all adapted to the mobile version? I created the main page with generateblocks and it looks terrible in the mobile version.
Hi Adam! Thanks for the video as always! I'm starting to learn Cpt, i would ask you a question pls: at 3:06 you add also "editor". This means that if for a specific post, if you want to add an extra content (in addition to the custom fields you fill out at 26:44), you use the "editor" field. Is it right my reasoning? Thank you in advance
If I understand you correctly, yes that is correct. However, the content you put in the editor may not go where you want it - this demo was to set it up so that you didn't have to touch the editor.
@@adamwrightdesign Hi Adams! Experimenting I saw that with the editor I can manage its position using the "dynamic content" block in the template. Anyway yes, in the end I think I understood the meaning of the video and the potential of the cpt and acf. With customers who don't know how to use the editor or wordpress in general, in the end they just have to fill in the fields in the back end. Really useful and powerful I would say.

Yes, I love the ACF update - that's all I use now!
Killer demo! People don't take advantage of CPTs like they should! Very underrated!
Thanks, Kyle! It can be intimidating at first, but definitely an underrated aspect to WordPress!

Nice tutorial. Thanks for sharing your ACF with generate blocks workflow process
Thanks Brad!
Excellent Adam. Been looking for a demo to walk through this process.
Thanks, Edward! Glad you found it useful!
I've definitely got to start making these templates. Thanks for the walk through. 👍Cheers!
Thanks for watching!

Hey Karen. I'm not exactly following - maybe you need to input the custom field name into the 'post meta'?
Thankyou for making this. Really useful to see the process in 'real time'. 🙂
Glad you found it useful! Thanks for watching!

waiting you much more about generatepress & generateblocks tutors bro....
I like the tutorial thank you very much. I’d love to see more video especially regarding listing websites like property or car listing websites.

Hey Anastasia! I'll see if I can do an updated version with the new GB and include mobile, too.
Checkbox and Taxonomies of custom fields not showing on post.
you are doing custom fields on "Text and image" Type. How can i get data from checkbox custom fields ?
Sorry, I'm not sure what you're referring to!

NICE
I was hoping to create a single page template for a custom post type using free tools, but unfortunately Elements is a pro feature.
Elements is the most powerful part of GeneratePress, highly recommend upgrading!
