Thank you so much for this tutorial, I had been Customizing my site for 2 days yet I was confused about how to customize the Blog Post page. This video helped me a lot.
Hey Adam, Thank you for this amazing tutorial. The latest generate-press does not have effects option when I click on featured image's container. How do I resolve it?
I liked the video and subscribed. I have been looking for a good blog template for quite awhile and am converting over to generate blocks. More volume on your future videos would be good. Thanks.
This was done in an older version of GB, so the settings have moved. I will be doing an updated video in the near future. In the current version, if you go to the container, the Z Index setting is under the Layout settings.
hello, very ciaro useful your article. Is the Effect item you use in the block editor included in your generateblocks pro version? what version is it? i ask because i have the pro personal version but that item is not there. thanks pp
@@adamwrightdesign yes thank you, I just purchased it and the upgrade was successful, now I see the Effects section. I followed your tutorial, you are great but...quick mouse for my poor eyes (:-). Anyway I finally got it completed. I will follow you again. Regards paki
Hey Heather - are you certain you’ve got a Container selected? It’s part of the Container block and should be there (I don’t think it’s a premium feature).
strange I'm at 9:41 and following to a T so far but I'm not seeing "Effects" as an option to add the shadow to my image. I see that you've specifically clicked the dotted line box for "container" and the 'Effects' option popped up after 'Dynamic Data'....however for me I only see 'Documentation' as the next header...do you know what may be causing this?
Also seeing the same issue where I don't see "Vertical Alignment" as an option under 'Layout' when I'm trying to follow you at 10:40...and I specifically chose container :(
The hiccups are more educational than without. Yes, viewers want a slick video but frequently - the author ends up going too fast for those following along to understand. You have also not tried to include every possible feature in this video. If you are watching these videos you are here because you are not an expert. Great video.
Hi Adam, I have created a similar template block to yours, I would have had no idea how to do that without your excellent tutorial. I then tried copying the block from one website to another, however although it looked like I had transferred the block successfully I could not get it to work on another website. In one sense not a show stopper I could imagine with a bit of practice I could recreate the block in a few minutes once one knows what to do but just curious to know if these blocks can be copied from one website to another.
Hey Charles. This takes Elements to make it all function properly, and so ensure you have those setup on the new site, too. Plus, the blocks should inherit the styles of the new site once pasted in, so it could appear different.
@adamwrightdesign at ua-cam.com/video/YBuQAwgbTMA/v-deo.html you added the dynamic data for the author name in the popup area instead of in the block area on the right. What's the difference?
Can you redo this video? GP has already changed and it's only been 5 months since this video. GP-please have some consistency for awhile! Where is the settings you see in Layout for inner container width and full width now???
Hey Jeff! In the new GB update, when you add a new container, you'll need to add a new "inner container" - it's a dotted square icon that appears right after you add a main container. The inner container will keep your content from going full-width. I'll see about making an updated video in the near future 👍
Thank you very much, Adam. Sending love from India.
thanks

I’m glad you found it useful!
Good demonstration. I learned a few new things. Thanks much.
Thank You Very Much Adam. I really Appreciate That!

It definitely should! Are you using GP Premium?

Thanks Adam. One question: I don't see my button of "Outer / Inner Z-index" (15:39). do you know why?

In the current version, if you go to the container, the Z Index setting is under the Layout settings.
Bro. Please do complete customisation make grid layouts and setting up menus
Can you make some more advanced tutorials with GP?
Any in particular?

Nice .....
Thank you 😮
Hey Adam - curious how come "Shapes" is not showing up after "Backgrounds" on my dashboard?

That's quite nice! What do you think, is it possible to create a frame for the feature image that looks like a polariod image?
I definitely think it's possible! Play with the container padding and background color that the featured image is contained in.

Could you show us how to do post loops in front page?
Thanks for the recommendation!
Anyone know why when I use grid it take 100% of the width of my page ?
More than likely you need to add your grid to a container with an inner container that will keep your content within the container width.
@@adamwrightdesign That's work, thank you so much!

Quite honestly, I haven't figured that out - I use both just depending on what I'm doing.
Why such a low resolution? Made it quite difficult to watch, which is a shame as the subject interests me.
Hey Simon. UA-cam said it's still rendering the high-def version - check back soon for better quality. Thanks!
Thanks Adam. I must learn patience! 😉
