I grew up in Oceanside! The Oceanside Pier is a HUGE part of MY LIFE!!! I am devastated on what happened!!! I even have a pitcture of the pier on my screen saver! That is how much I LOVE MY Pier!! I am just grateful that I kept my picture of the pier before the fire happened! I have a permanent reminder of what MY pier used to look like! A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to ALL the firemen who SAVED 90 percent of the pier!! The community is really THANKFUL to ALL the firemen who worked VERY HARD in SAVING OUR Pier!!

Az girl here and this pier fire has affected me too. I'd always be sure to visit Oceanside pier when I vacation in California. I'll miss that ruby's forever. 😢

FOUR CITY LIFEGUARDS EXTINGUISHED THE OCEANSIDE PIER FIRE as firefighters stood helplessly on the beach!!!! Fire trucks could not drive out onto the pier, and neither could firefighters. The fire chief never mentions that it was lifeguards, not firefighters that extringuished the fire!!! SHAMEFUL!!
