- North County residents are reporting a significant increase in the number coyote sightings in residential areas, and they say the animals are much more brazen and not as easily scared. We talked with one Encinitas man who says he feels trapped in his own home and has started a neighborhood watch group, and another who successfully took matters into his own hands.

My mom’s renter feeds coyotes in her yard
Then stop moving into their home.
The coyotes were there first.
Yes, but we’ve been here for 50 years and only in the past two have we had coyotes in the neighborhood. We believe in letting them live here too, but not under the tree in the front yard. And yeah for the skunktuary!
The coyotes we have to worry about are armed, and leading illegals across san diegos southern border.

The animals have allways been here. They have done the same things for thousands of years. Nothing new. Just watch your dogs and kids. Allways be aware of your surroundings it's that simple
Yes, it is all new to the coyote! You are building more and more and more 15 minute cities and you’re taking coyotes homes away! They’re starving too! Keeping an eye on them!?!?!??? What’s that going to accomplish? More upset ppl with dead or injured dogs, that’s what it will accomplish! Better man up! Clear them away from your walking trails, seriously!
There have been far more coyotes than normal over the last couple years all over San Diego. They haven't been very brave when i approach them. i think they can sense my intent is not friendly.

We keep building in their territory, making their are smaller. Plus, they are hungry looking for food.
Does anyone dare shoot a coyote? On a ranch they would be shot on sight. They will take your pets and grab young children
This is a residential area you can’t just unload every time you see one
