My favorite thing about the shovel is being able to dig up plants and put them somewhere else, it's just such a cool feature for aesthetic base builders, like the eco's decor mods in vanilla
Of note, it’s not that you can spawn another water spout once it’s gone, it’s actually on a fairly long cooldown in (with very basic testing) a 500m(?) radius around the original spot (more than 270m, less than 540m, those were the closest cases we tested and 500m makes sense)
the shovel was already used on ATLAS, on this game, u can dig out water and treasure chest to get some loots too
Also of note, if you aren’t in the tribe of the person who buried the chest, even if you have a shovel equip you still won’t see the mound, tested with my brother and when I kicked him from the tribe he couldn’t see them anymore chives or not even right next to them
And could he have dug up the chest even if he couldn't see it?
@@sasacimer4362 yea, if it’s not in your tribe that’s how you have to do it, hopefully with a treasure map but if not you’ll be digging for a while if you don’t see somewhere obvious

Has there been any news on the bugged treasure maps? I'm dieing to go for a treasure hunt
i would just hide a lot of empty chests with my shovel and then "lose somehow" all my treasure maps to my foes of the rivaling tribe ingame :)
Anyone figure out how to feed the thing and how to use potted plants for it? Not sure if it needs to grow first then up root and feed it or just have pots on its back. Appreciate the help

the treasure map doesn't consume for me it says I need the dlc but I have ... why?

sadly when I go to use it, it says I don’t have the DLC even though I do and can use everything other then the map
The game needs the ability to climb nd dodge. It also needs towns with npc that will give missions
I have a feeling that all of those things are in the works.... but likely for ark 2

Unlock it at lvl 20 in your engrams
@@iandaniel4142 Thanks ... I'm level 100, so it should be unlocked, but when I searched for it in my crafting menu, I could not find it. I will look again today.
I’m having the same issue! It says it’s unlocked but it’s not in my smithy :(. I am also passed level 20…
@@randomman4938 are you on unofficial with automatic engram unlock? If so, you might have to go through your engrams and unlock it manually
@@cellerie1673 check your engrams, you won't magically know the recipe without spending engram points
So funny enough i BOUGHT the bobs tall tales, i can use shovels, tame oasisaurs, make trains, all that, but whej i try to use a treasure map it says i need the dlc that i ALREADY HAVE

I think they should remove the water ability. I don't like being able to just "hit water" in the middle of a desert

If your looking for absolute realism, ark isn't the place. Rust is more your pace or maybe Icarus. Icarus is really good for a more grounded feel.
Agree, kinda kills a big part of the map. The need for water.
I dont like the unrealism of hitting water in the desert, goes tames a FN Giga. 😂😂
At the early part i agree . Supposed to be about fighting to survive , not have it just handed to you . Later though as you end up being able to make water storage jars and can store up plenty of water it will not matter much any more .

30% growth rate if you use it on a large plot. Will tell you the effect once u shovel the soil in the plot

Nice a feature that was in "Atlas" (failed game) in this PAID dlc. Wonder if "Last Oasis" another failed game with great ideas will be used.. Cant wait for the next paid DLC😆
Atlas was such an incredible idea and had so much potential. Such a shame it was made by studio wildcard.

am i the only one that finds stupid to have to pay for something like this? wasnt it supposed for us to NOT have to pay for any dlcs in ASA... ffs, first was paid mods now this, just watch them release 2 more free maps and the rest you have to pay. wildcard and snail games are a f"cking joke
