i also noticed that as the torpor got higher, it began taking more torpor per collision so knocking it out becomes exponentially easier. Don't know if thats an intended feature or if im just going crazy but its a point worth noting if it feels daunting when you first start knocking it out
Managed to get a pair today that were 135’s. That took a while… worth it tho! Salt spots are for sure the best way for torpor over rocks. My first mutation was a double with a pink body and green spots, the babies are soooo adorable
Wooohooo congrats. The different resources are great, but unfortunately all the other high torpor ones don't spawn near where the fasos spawn. Salt is definitely the way.
Great video and love the idea of marking the salt nodes! I didn't know grenades would work also. I recently found a grenade and a c4 in a supply drop. I'll probably save up at least 10 to do this!. Very informative!

hey overall this is a great video its the method I ended up using to tame mine, but I just wanna say at 7:20 you say the ability isn't that useful, but it actually can do a lot of damage. your fasola just needs high enough stamina to be able to spin for long enough to submerge the creature. if u fully submerge it, the creature takes 30-70% of its max hp as damage, depending on its carry weight. the higher the carry weight, the more damage it takes. just thought id provide some info incase people are interested, i subscribed tho :)
You did forget to mention that ghillie and cactus broth will help you with sneaking up on it if you're using the C4 method. Also, tek rifle also works to get it out of the ground.

@@MysticOnArk seen alot of ppl saying they do but the 2 i have tamed didnt seem to get any torpor or refresh the control bar maybe i was just unlucky and got abug or something alot of the time it will also climb over it and end up coming out the ground when ive hit bones aswell and had to redo the explosion step
@@adamcoulson3964 it definitely has to be the breakable bones. Not all bones are breakable I think. Like the big ones. I think the reason they think trees work is because there are mini rocks between the trees. From my experience trees don’t do much, if anything. The salt node clusters are definitely the best way imo

Thanks! Unfortunately you can only have 15 points on the map at a time. There should be a resource spawn map available online if you google scorched earth resource map though. Just depends on where you end up taming it which ones you should use as they go around the whole map.
Would advise people collect all the explorer notes out in the dunes before trying to tame.. If you collect one while riding the Fasolasuchus you will be dismounted.

@@xfirslyx4368 Are you playing on a server or singleplayer? I believe in singleplayer there should be a setting for resource respawns, which could make respawning faster or slower. If you're on a server hosted by someone or official, there's nothing you can do. Also remember if you're playing on public servers, everyone is going to be competing for the resources.

Tamed a 150 yesterday and the thing came out with an absolutely monstrous 419.1% melee damage post tame. It really is a shame so many youtubers turned on god mode and tamed lvl 20 fasolas to rush out their videos telling people that hitting rocks was the key. So many people think this is impossible because of this and are saying they're broken and impossible to tame.
When I made this, I hadn’t seen any videos that realized rocks are trash yet. I was actually in the process of recording with a 130 when I saw some metal nodes and I was like 🤔 then I tested the other resources. Unfortunately, there are no large/easy metal spawns near the Faso spawns. But then I realized there are crazy amounts of salt nodes and thus came this video 😅

I wanna play the game on PC but when I play my fps is like 8 or 10, idk what do to do cause I got the game for pc as well. But I also wanna tame this thing cause when I saw it, it looked terrifying
It depends on what the specs are on your pc. If you're struggling to run it, turn all of your graphic settings to low/medium. Adjust them up from there. I have a pretty good pc and I've noticed a few super laggy places on SE that make my pc struggle and I run on medium/high
It turns left of right randomly…. It auto locks onto rocks, after a few seconds you’re able to steer it yourself. Also the salt nodes are unreliable because they are so spread out and long to reach. Stay on the blue obb side and you will see a lot of sand rocks mixed with normal rocks and some metal and salt, this is the best spot to tame one.
It only turns randomly when you don’t have control of it (right after hitting an object). Salt nodes are the most reliable if you pin them like I showed in the video. You know exactly where they are. I tested multiple ways on 130 and 140 fasos and I could get between the salt nodes pretty well as long as I followed the route I laid out. I don’t recommend metal nodes because they are rarer spawns and usually spawn near unbreakable rock walls and ledges, both of which will dismount you from the faso. Everyone likes to tame them their own way, but this is the most reliable.
@@chasescott1048 hmmm maybe it’s a glitch on console. I haven’t had any issues with it kicking me off on salt nodes at all. I did have someone tell me they were on Xbox and it wasn’t registering even rocks so could be a console problem.
This was recorded in single player. The concept isn’t different. Taming time just depends on settings. Official pvp will be even more difficult though as you have to watch your back 😉
When taming the fasola you the bar actually has nothing to do with amount of control you have. When you ram into a rock, metal node, salt node, bone, etc it resets the meter and makes the fasola unstable for about 4 seconds and then you have full control again. Once the control bar is empty you are kicked off.

Pretty brazen to call this method " the method you personally came up with " As there is about 60 other videos dated well before yours, some even just a few hours after scorched being dropped. All suggesting the exact same things your suggestion.. great video none the less. Rhynio for sure can pick these guys up, am thinking wyverns can aswell but havnt tested wyverns.. pick fasalo up and bring him to areas with more salt nodes..
When I posted this video, every video (10+) I checked, their advice was “hit rocks, have fun”. I highly doubt you’ve watched 60 videos on how to tame this, but if you had, you’d probably notice the majority did not say, rare resources give higher torpor AND I still haven’t seen a single one specifically highlighting the salt nodes in the desert as the best method. I did find out this information myself (spent 3+ hours trying different methods) and, imo, it is the easiest way to tame them without having to kite, carry, etc as you have suggested. The problem is if you remove the sand using commands, and fly around the desert you will see that many salt nodes are UNDER the sand. Typical Wildcard.
There’s 2 reasons it will kick you off. 1. The control meter hits 0. 2. You hit an unbreakable object (rocks that are part of the environment, structures, cliffs, and even supply drops 💀) you’re most likely hitting something and you don’t realize it
Did you even watch the video? You want to hit more rare resource nodes, but sometimes you have to hit rocks to keep the control bar up between the clusters of rare resources.

so a tree and bones are not solid objects? coz they dont give you control bar needs to be some sort of ore node ei stone metal salt crystal obsidian
Bones give you torpor. They’re just not as common as the salt nodes.

I thought it was an interesting minigame. It's better than another boring standard knockout tame, and it's very unique.
It is. I think the difficulty is that the high torpor resources are not near where they spawn. So the best choice is the salt nodes.

I tamed a level 25 but anything higher like 75, 100 takes a long time

Everytime i do the tame they pop completely out of the ground when i go to hit nodes
They shouldn’t be unless you’re also hitting like a non breakable structure. If you’re doing it around ruins, that will get you kicked off

This is not a easy tame will take hours even on a boosted server
Shouldn’t take hours if you use the boosted resources and don’t get kicked off. But it is obnoxiously long especially for high levels.

There’s 2 reasons it will kick you off. 1. The control meter hits 0. 2. You hit an unbreakable object (rocks that are part of the environment, structures, cliffs, and even supply drops 💀) you’re most likely hitting something and you don’t realize it

Did you even watch the video? You want to hit more rare resource nodes, but sometimes you have to hit rocks to keep the control bar up between the clusters of rare resources.
