Indeed, and also my first time I sat around the whole time and force fed the dino to minimize the health drain. Concrete information around this would be nice as there is so much misinformation and confusion around this
Weird that nooblets doesn't know this right? I always kept food on the sacrificed dino so if case it got hit by something it would heal a little as it ate. It's just strange that the person giving us a guide doesn't know that and put points into health on a giga. lol oooof!
To ride the Dino after impregnation, you need to Hold E and choose the "Ride" option. Also, after impregnating a creature, there seems to be a cooldown from the same Rhynio until it impregnates another, so a good tactic is trapping it again for about 10 minutes, worked for me so far.
"Remember you get a better and higher level Rhynio baby, if you impregnate a Bronto rather then your other creatures". It's exactly the same for Giga/Charc/Bronto. It's anything higher then 900 drag weight, all 3 have that on The Island map. Host Size Quality = ([Host Creature Drag Weight] - 300) / 350 * 75% + 25% , for anyone curious.
@@NOOBLETS Well, to be slightly pedantic, you gave an order of dino's, "Giga's and Carcha's, and then Bronto's. Bronto's are the best because your bug will get more levels from them." All 3 are exactly the same, and give exactly the same amount of levels, =P. I'll agree that Bronto's are technically the "easiest" because of how much shorter their Egg timers/rearing times are (+ease/cost of taming), but if someone has bred a line of Giga's/Charca's to get amazing stats, they work exactly the same.

This method is for trying to get a best tame. But you don't have to do all this if you just want one. The bare minimum you need is a trike (mine had like 2800 hp more can be better) the pheromone from the male bug, plenty of food to keep ya trike fed during the hatching stage and that's about it. All I did was get a trike and food, a rifle to shoot the bug or use the trike or both, found a female, fed the pheromone to the trike, fought the bug till it was below 10% hp. got knocked up, then got the trike to a safe area to let it hatch. a short while later, trike go SPLOOSH! and ya got a new baby bug. I didn't do any cravings, maybe like 1 stage of imprinting. almost the worst case for a bug tame and it's still a great mount, lvled up it's hp and damage and have fun. Maybe someday I'll breed a bronto for a better bug, but just having this low lvl one is great, I can kill most enemies with it in a varity of ways. I've used it to pick up babies and other dinos to put them in a trap to tame them. Also used it to go in the water to tame a basil. The versatility and utility of this bug i great, it's not as fast as other fliers, but with stam at least at 1000 ya can fly for a good while and distance, "dismount" a.k.a. stand on the saddle while still hovering to regen it's stam, then take off again. They can also, cling to walls (and slowly regen stam), walk on water & swim. It really is a jack of all trades mount.
