I saw Beast In Black live in New York last Sunday. They were opening for Nightwish. What a fantastic night!

Guys, the entire theme of the band (and for that matter, Battle Beast as well) is "based on Berserk", one of their previous albums was "Berserker". They literally have a song called "Zodd the Immortal" (which is awesome, you should react).
Not to mention, Battle Beast had "band of the hawk" as well "iron hand" and Beast in Black has the fifth apostle....
The one and only way to fully experience Berserk, in my opinion, is to read the manga. Kentaro Miura is just the best mangaka of the century. He is the Falcon of the Millennium... and in Miura's words: He died doing what he wanted, no matter what right? I bet he was happy... 🥲

Bit weird considering she was just there for the first album. You must be an OG fan of the band.
On the topic on wether the newer berserk anime is worth watching the answer is categorically no. It's got really jarring and terrible CG and sadly a lot of the aesthetic of berserk and the feeling of the series is lost. It's quite sad really the only way to experience Berserk properly is the manga imo. Though the older anime was good too, it doesn't hold up all that much.
I grew up on the anime but i should check out the manga!

This song sounds incredibly simple... until you actually try to play it on guitar or sing it. Tons of chord changes and an unreal vocal range, but all underlain by a simplistic and melodic song progression. One of my favourite guitar solos from this band (ironically, probably their easiest solo).
To me this is one of their strongest songs. Top 3 for sure.

As you mention attack on titan, Epica has covers of the AoT opening theme and they are just fantastic.
Seriously Guts is the epitome of badassery...has a tragic story and is inspired slightly i guess from a real life german guy who fought several wars , lost one hand and replaced with a metal one...allthough Berserk has demons, changing reallity in selfish pursuit of power, betrayal, and a very well deserved thirst for vengeance as well some sort of closure....
Berzerk movies are fine, the 2016 & 2017 shows are but only in a “how is it that bad” way
