Happy you gave this performance to Train/TigerMan a quadruple banger otherwise you would have missed the whole point of Elvis in Vegas. Elvis brought Rock and Roll to Vegas like he brought Gospel to Rock and Roll. I agree will this rating 100% ❤

I guess you didn’t notice that when he was imitating playing the guitar, he gave the finger behind his back to some band member/members. He did so many humorous things when he performed on stage, including 1956 on Ed Sullivan show. Many UA-cam new to Elvis reactors, have commented that they can’t keep their eyes off him when he performs. People even get captivated just watching his facial moments.
I definitely didn't pick up on tooooooo much because i was only half paying attention on this one, I didn't realise it was actually *Real* and not fan made to be honest haha

Nothing in the world beats Elvis Live. That is 50% of the magic. you can admire him on his studio sound but seeing him will make you a convert right away. No one is better. Never will be another he just had it all. He gave 100% on every performance. You can see why he stayed so thin and these years. He just didn't ever stop moving. Yep, when you see His early stuff you will see one version, but when you see him perform them Live he does a whole new thing. That's what kept him so fresh and interesting. Nothing like seeing him live, what a star he was. Thanks
Elvis' Dad Vernon told Elvis he should record Tiger Man as it was Vernon's nickname for Elvis and it is also used as his name in Karate.

Comparing Junio Parkes' rendition (the original artist who did it), his was slow, almost depressing, and the guitar solo was almost an after thought, but when Elvis covered it, it shows us the difference between Blues and Rock & Roll. Check out all of Elvis' original 1954/55 Sun Studio songs (not live versions) and compare with the original artists. You'll see how he morphed Blues, Country, and Bluegrass into Rock & Roll. Very stunning results.

There's little energy required here compared to his earlier performances. What's funny is that the lighting effect makes him look like he's moving a lot, but he's barely moving a muscle. But Elvis knows how to move. so it looks cool.

Elvis did Tiger man on the 68 comeback special you actually missed a fare few songs from that' show and there's another video off the sit down session called, one night with you when you reach the end of 1977 you will need to see both in full

@@SephPlays yes there is a song. It's a medley of Mystery Train and Tiger Man. And the music sounds pretty damn cool. However I realize that this is your channel and your personal preference. I just don't see how any Elvis fan wouldn't put this one high up on the list. But that's just me.

I think you should have reacted to the first time he performed Tiger Man at the 68 C.B. You are not following the right order. For me this is top notch Volcano Elvis. You just saw the opening number of the That's The Way It Is documentary and live shows.
I'm not that shocked i got this wrong as this was actually me trying to guess haha

@@SephPlays Nice of you - going to this performance for the song Tiger Man. As mentioned Elvis sung more of it and much better in the 1968 Special and also he did this medley in his 1969 shows, also better versions than this.
Seph: Both songs go back to Elvis’ early days at Sun Records. Tiger Man was recorded by Rufus Thomas and written by Sam Philipps & Joe Hill Louis. Elvis & Rufus Thomas were both recording artists for Sun Records which was owned by Sam Philipps. (Rufus Thomas, who was black, praised Elvis till his dying day, and rebuffed anyone and everyone who said Elvis stole his musical style from black music). I believe it was true that Vernon told Elvis he should sing Tiger Man. This is NOT the opening scene of the original version of the movie “That’s The Way It Is”, but is from the 2000s re-edit version. Once again, I recommend when you get to the entire movie- you should watch the original directors cut released at theaters in 1970 before you watch the re-edit. That is the way we originally saw it and formed our opinions. I prefer it.

Agree. I was just asking Rob about that. I think he invented it. I bet no one did anything like that before him. He was the first of so much. Example: the toe stand.....MJ did it but Elvis did it first (Milton Berle Show 1956). He sings the word "remembu" in Make the world go away. MJ says remembu also singing, but Elvis did it first.
Elvis and his air guitar cracks me up. At one point he looks back at his band as if to say, “well, I guess I’m air guitarring now, may as well make it look cool.” So he did. 😂
Elvis was always better LIVE.. he fed off the audience.. I remember my Dad taking Mom to and Elvis concert in 1974. I was 7 and I still remember the outfit Mom wore.. But Dad was not a fan.. he got the tickets for Mom.. My Father came home from that concert an Elvis fan. He said I've never seen anyone put so much heart and soul into a performance.
