    Hi Marcea! Very informative video. I began my Mounjaro Journey a few weeks ago on 14/12/24. I have Type 2 Diabetes, BMI over 50, High Blood Pressure and High Cholesterol. I was prescribed Mounjaro by my surgery's Diabetic Nurse through the NHS. I've lost 11.5 lbs so far. Mounjaro is one of the best things to happen in my life. Just wanted to pop in and say hi and now to catch up on your past videos!❤

    That is a lovely feeling Marcea, going into the New Year without thinking, oh back to Slimming World. Spent couple of hours yesterday trying on my older holiday clothes I had grown out of 🎉😂 so pleased. Six weeks before I go away confident I can be comfortable in my clothes. Is amazing xx❤

    I'm glad you've made this video. I'm in a facebook group and it's alarming how little people know before injecting themselves. Before I even ordered my 1st pen I researched the hell out of it and when my pen came read the leaflet. That prepared me for any possible side effects and I knew that if I experienced them that it is normal. I even came off the contraceptive pill and changed to the implant as there's a risk that the pill doesn't get absorbed properly. Nice to see you back and look forward to your videos xx

      My Dr put in the referral for tier 3 over 20 months ago, I'd lost well over 5 stone by the time I got anywhere near to actually speaking to them never mind getting any form of treatment. It's not even guaranteed that you would be given a weight loss injection. I'm so glad that I took the initiative and started the jabs on my own, so far I've lost 6 st 8 lbs with around 10 lbs to go to get to my target x

As I've said before, somewhere lol, my BMI was 44 and I have at least 2 comorbidities and I probably wouldn't have even got the jabs on the NHS (not blaming the poor cash strapped, over worked and under paid NHS) xxx

It’s very short sighted of them but hopefully it will be more widely available in the future (not holding my breath) xxx

    I started Munjuro in November but due to a few family reasons, I took a break for 2 weeks over Christmas so am starting from scratch with a fresh mindset 1st Jan, my brother & his wife to be have asked me to be their bridesmaidin October so have a goalto aim for.. so I've found your channel just at the right time 😊
    I don't have the pens, I get mine from my aesthetics beautician (don't worry she is 100% registered and regulated to prescribe I've done all my homework but I've been with her for numerous treatments for a few years so trusted her the most..
    Well done on your incredible success! I've already found your videos really helpful ❤

      A new year and a new start. I wish you every success hun. Glad you have a safe prescription …. Just checking that it is the Kwikpen that you have been prescribed with the 4 doses in one pen - this is the only legal form to get Mounjaro in the Uk.
      I wish you every success. Keep in Touch with your progress and let me know if there are any topics you’d like me to cover.

    Must say, I’ve followed your journey alone with doing mine. My weight loss has been good but for weight loss and appetite suppression I’d give the drug 10/10. But the side effects - extreme nausea, diarreah, dizziness, fatigue…no wonder I’ve lost weight, I’ve been unwell more or less everyday on this “medication”.

      @@ladymawaThis is an interesting one and is actually quite narrow and racist. Your ethnicity influences bmi. According to the NHS website, a 'normal' bmi for an Asian female is between 18.5 to 22.9. If I were 'white'/northern European I would have reached a 'normal' bmi at 24.9 but as an Asian, I still have a long way to go before I get there yet. By cutting people off at 23.5 without looking at other factors, they are leaving Asian people in the overweight category. Equally, a bmi of 27.5 or more is classed as obese for folk with Asian ethnicity. One size does not fit all, literally.

    • @ladymawa
      @ladymawa  3 дні тому

      You need to check if your local council will take them. I’m still a long way from needing to recycle mine.
      I’ve heard that some chemists will take if you say they are used needles - think it’s part of their needle exchange programme. May be worth ringing around xxx

      I still have a few lbs to lose but I’m hoping I can stay on 2.5 mg then. Marcea mentioned Med Express will let you as long as your BMI does not go below certain level. Am currently on 5mg which is plenty enough for me. I don’t plan to go any higher. Has been slow but sure journey for me. Have never lost more than 2lbs in a week. Is so nice actually being in control of my eating.

      @AnonAnon-km8lq 3 дні тому +2

      I've just left this reply to another comment, but I'll leave it here again because I think it's important for future policy decisions taken by providers: Your ethnicity influences bmi. In addition, at the other end, the NHS also states that those with Asian ethnicity are classified as obese if they have a bmi of 27.5 or more. Considering the fact that we live in a multicultural society, and these are the NHS's own criteria, providers need to be a little more open.

      @sam41198 hi …. No I don’t get it free hun. I have my account just like anyone else. They don’t even know who I am. I only mention it because it is a huge part of my life and because my vlogs are pretty much around weightloss and mounjaro so it’s relevant. I’m still on mounjaro on holiday so that’s why talk about it. I really don’t think it’s every sentence. I have to say if this is bothering you then maybe don’t watch vlogs about mounjaro and weightloss. Med Express have never approached me or offered it for free. Another company did approach me but I refused their offer. I have also mentioned several other pharmacies in this video xxx
