@@JT-lr3fw or when you have to do your chores first, then you can watch. That's hard too. The waiting for the parents to say that your done. But it's always worth it in the end.
My mom told me a story about turkeys when she was growing up in rural Quebec in the 1920s: one afternoon a big ice storm was coming. My grandmother told my uncles to quickly bring in the turkeys as they might freeze to death if they were not under shelter. It took a long time for my uncles to finally locate the turkeys: they had all flown up onto the roof of their two story home and were stuck up there. I don't know how many survived the storm.
Love the way the cows talk to you. Your daily chores always make me happy. But your teasing me with the fantastic dinners you build on the charcoal grill really get my mouth drooling… Again, thanks for a great post. 🌼
Pete out of the UA-cam channel's I watch you are my Favorite. You are just a very pleasant person and very smart when it comes to doing things. God Bless you and your family 👪 🙏 ❤️.

Happy UA-cam Anniversary To the whole hard working family. Starting up a channel is not a simple as you make it look… Love all the advice and how too’s. Oh wait I have to go through a door on our farm. Hard to text, hold the phone, watch your video and slide the barn door. Bought some meat birds and laying hens as a trial run this year. Never found an earlier video from you on dressing meat birds. But my friend who sews helped me out. Now in freezer all tuxed up. Having never experienced the process of processing but the 2 hour Joel Saladin UA-cam video has another 50 views just from me rewatching the details. Saving this video for the waterer. Thank Hilary and Pete
Your videos are so fun to watch! Always something to learn and laugh about! I love the ring of Charcoal and hickory in the weber, I so want to try that. Keep'em coming, I'll keep watching!

Hi Pete you're obviously feeling a lot better ,that's good.! Just done the math on 30 birds, I hope you sell them all .I bet they taste as good as the smoked Pork bellies. Grass fed is the only way to finish all meat ,the flavour is so much better than Supermarket stuff . Enjoy your supper with your family. Cheers from Canada .
Awe, I just love Just a Few Acres Farm. The turkeys are fortunate to have you and Hilary. How nice that you really do enjoy being a farmer. The cattle were having quite a conversation with you....so neat that you answered them. Boy, I took lessons on how to use a charcoal cooker. It really did a nice job on those 2 slabs of meat . I really tried to take that bite, it looked so delicious. Neatest of all, was the boar.....He really loved that mud!!!Have a pleasant weekend, Pete, Hilary and your family. Bev in :Maine

That was terribly mean at the end with the pork belly....now I'm hungry and have to go out and buy charcoal BBQ.😂....cheers from New Zealand.
I love this show! Happiest part of my day. I no longer watch the news EVER. I still like green acres and Gomer Pyle and Griffith but can't do all. Peter gets all the watching! And dog herd must be fed and then wife and kids.

One day I hope to have a farm along the lines of yours, until then I will watch your videos with rapt attention. Thank you sir
Hi Pete, I know you have said in previous videos you will not share your chicken butchering- but can you show us your chicken plucker? Thank you for the videos. You have helped farming not be so scary! 😀
Congrats on the 3 years. I know a whole bunch of work has gone into this channel. I appreciate that because I know you have plenty of other things to do just keeping the farm up and running.

I hear what you're saying about buying turkey in the summer. When my parents were living we had cookouts, we would have an extra turkey we bought in the "winter" I would marinate it overnight and spatchcock it and dad would grill it...talk about delicious! Hi Pete and Hillary turkeys look great nice job moving them. Crazy thing that happened to Evan. I have a old barbeque that we use to cook meat with wood. There is no better way tonights dinner here butt chops. Have a great day.
Worked on a pasture raised turkey farm as a kid. During the harvest, my brothers and I would start the roundup at 4:30 a.m. We would herd them into a holding pen. Several other kids would push them onto a conveyor while holding a piece of plywood in front their legs. At the top of the conveyor 2 of the older kids would load them into a semi truck. By 9 a.m. we would be finished. The turkeys would be too awake to herd. Good memories.
Yes we are proud of you for cutting the back the kudzu from your door. Good job. And I was having 3eggs and chopped, smoked brisket when you shove that pork bellybutton in my face so I wasn't jealous 😞 much. Be nice Pete ☺️ have a good day!
Congratulations on 3 years Pete! Glad to see the turkeys out on pasture. We just put 100 out on pasture last week, and will be putting out 350 thanksgiving birds out in 2 weeks! Couldn’t agree more on the stress aspect of turkeys for sizes
