I suppose there is a channel somewhere about going to work everyday in the corporate world but I can't imagine who would watch it. Good job of sorting the cattle 👍
I like it!! I like seeing and learning how REAL farmers do the job. I have seen the ones with herds of hundreds, tractor trailers, four wheelers, portable handling pens, and all the gadgets I could imagine. But THIS is one man, one wife, and the herd!! THIS is REAL!! And thank you for the excellent narrative to show me what the heck is going on here. I can really appreciate your "hands on, feet in the poop" approach to the tasks at hand!! You may even have an advantage that your herd knows YOU personally. I really enjoy every aspect of your operation. And certainly enjoy watching you and Hillary working as a team like you do. You two are amazing!! Blessings to you, and your herd. Heck, blessings to the barn cats too, Thanks for allowing me along on this adventure. I didn't even have to step in anything. (kinda takes some of the fun out of it)
Pete, I feel the way you and Hillary manage your farm is fine. Doing what you guys did today is sort of like a good work out. Keeps ya healthy. You really get to know your animals intimately knowing which animal is “off” or otherwise. Bigger farmers I think would miss that and that could in some cases prove a very costly ways of farming. At any rate I really enjoy your videos.
After watching Pete and Hilarie rebuild their family Farm Home in 1990, anything he builds or rebuilds is a special treat to watch. IMPRESSIVE!!!! Is what he did to that falling down roached out house. It gives us a GOOD feeling that Pete represents small family farmers in New England. I came from one in Southern Vermont.
My 11 year old daughter and I love your chanal. Your philosophy on life in general, closely matches mine. Waiting for a "new just a few" We watch reruns all day long sometimes. We would love to watch a spin off that stars your better half. "Advetures of Hillary" Her side of the story. I hope you take this seriously I'm sure it would be big a hit. Sending love and happiness, your biggest fans Roger and Etta.
Enjoyed this one very much. I like the way you two work together to move your animals, having an understanding of which way to move to accomplish where you want them. It is nice to listen to you talk to them. My husband hasn't a clue even with a cat. He always moves the wrong way when we need to capture one to medicate or crate for the vet. Just not his thing. But what can you say, it is only for a cat. But believe me a tame house cat can become spooked too and then it is a problem. Keep up the good work. Take Care.
Hey Pete - Thanks for having us over again - brings me back great memories of my childhood every time. Ezra stopped by for afternoon tea yesterday and we had a grand time. You and Hilary should join us sometime. All the best to you and your family. Oh, Patty called and well... oh boy, I thought I was a complainer - Yikes
I loved this! I will use this video, and your commentary, the next time someone asks what I'm doing on the weekend and I say "we're moving/separating cows" and they think it's just a simple matter of opening a gate or two. It's a lot of work... even when most of the herd is friendly, like yours (...and sometimes I think that makes it harder).
I do have to admire the attention and thought that goes into your breeding program. The shuffling of cattle from pen to pen in the right order reminds me of a game of spider solitaire. Still, it's nice to see someone making do with what is on hand.
I’m very new here and from Texas in the heart of cattle country. I absolutely love your content, I have actual spent a better part of my morning watching your older videos. The way you and your family go about caring for your farm is amazing and we don’t really see that much any more. It’s all mostly turned to industry with large cattle fields, auction houses, large processing facilities. Hell, I don’t know a single rancher that actually names their cows! It’s all very disconnected and emotionless. You have a good heart and I hope to see more of your content!
Hi Pete. I recently started watching your channel and enjoy it very much. I am 85 years old and live on the north shore of Lake Ontario now but I spent my childhood living in a small village north of Toronto. I'm a country girl and proud of it. Our village was surrounded by farms and I had friends who lived on farms so I spent time there too. I also spent a lot of time wandering the countryside in the days when no one cared if you trekked across their land and I seldom saw a No Trespassing sign. So your videos take me back to those days. You have a good life and you work hard and it's obvious that you are happy doing it. I really like the way you name all your cows and call them by name and they seem to talk to you. Thanks so much for sharing what you do.
I like your humor. Your wife is fun! I remember feeling successful after having to direct heifers to their stantions, and they were in the right place. 🐃🐂
I love the new perspective of your cattle operation. I have always worked in large engineering organizations. Engineers are moved from project to project (pastures). Senior leads placed on the same project always leads to turf wars. The parallels are many. I will just keep my head down and keep working on my patch of grass.
Pete, i think the only thing that goes according to plan in farming is that nothing goes according to plan.. but we are a strong breed and we push on and make due with what we have. Farm life is the best life. And mrs hill we farm wives are indeed the muscle of the operation we are stronger than people think and sometimes more than we ourselves know especially when up in the wee morning hours helping one of the farm animals with a difficult birth, it's a beautiful thing. Y'all be safe and well, keep doing what your doing and may blessings be upon you ❤👨🌾👩🌾🚜 p.s. sorry about the tractor emoji color, i know reds your thing but its the only color it came in🤷♀️
Hi Pete it was nice to meet you at the farmers market. The hamburger was delicious and the eggs are great. I ordered you book and looking forward to reading it. You and Hilary are doing something right. Great video love the cow's.
Hillary sorting out the last cow... Arms in the air. "YESSS" !!!! TOO FUNNY (All Pete did was run the gate) Now we know the true cattle herder! HA Enjoy your videos. Thanks
You have some real good analogies in this one, the cows stick together like gum, like it. Cows are certainly creatures of habit and routine. You handled them good, slow and steady, that's the best way. Good plan Pete, I think you and Hilarie did great, cattle are just a hard bunch to handle under any condition and you had some muddy conditions to deal with. Thanks for sharing, I hope you and Hilarie have a great day.
Great job sorting out the cattle, Growing up on a dairy farm I understand how much work goes into moving cows. There's times got to be light on your feet or get hurt.
Pete/Hillary, It’s great to watch your videos, my son who is in his 3rd year of residency In Pa, wants to eventually end up with a small farm like yours. Thanks for what you do!
I remember when I was young and my Dad had milk cows my foot 🦶 would get stepped on. It’s like they knew where it was. That’s good you don’t get your feet stepped on. Thanks for sharing
Your so lucky to have so many tractors to work with. Almost one for every task. Most small farmers only have one or maybe two. When had my small part time farm up in Maine I used a CK 5 Jeep. That was my tractor/skidder/errand truck etc.
You and Hilliary certainly earn your money! Just watching you two work the gates had me exhausted! Your videos are so entertaining as well as educational. Never understand why some people call farmers dumb. All the work and planning that goes into running a farm requires intelligence, and a lot of common sense! Enjoyed watching the 3 girls mud wrestling to see who’s top 🐄🐮
Hey Pete, just wanted to say I love how you and Evan from county view acres go back and forth giving each other shout outs. I think it’s great to see channel’s support each other with the way things are today it refreshing to see. I enjoy watching both of y’all. 😊
Luv it when a “working the cattle “ plan comes together to almost perfection! Titus got to within about 15 yards of improvise the plan QUICKLY! Lol GREAT TEAMWORK! 🙏
You are having fun, aren’t you, Pete! Putting the all together in the pasture! I love watching you two work together. Hilary, great job separating those 4 legged critters. Pete, I was a little uneasy when you worked with the bull. They are so unpredictable….I worry about you. Please, be careful! I enjoyed this video a LOT,! Bev in Maine. Boy, I have never heard your cattle so noisy…pecking order!!
Pete, everytime I see you and Hill it is inspiring to me. Your team work is awesome. Love all your content and how you break down the methods for your farm hustle. Also, need to send you a Texas t-shirt lol.
GREAT VIDEO❣️GREAT COW CAPER❣️❣️ The best part of this video was when Hillary raise both of her arms high end of the year, showing the cheerleader win symbol, and saying, “YES! Success❣️” I was very nice to see her so happy😊 It is a lot of work moving the cattle from one place to the nether, plus getting them to cooperate and the bigger they are the harder it is plus if they have a calf on them, that also makes it more challenging. I’ve often wondered why you don’t use, for lack of knowing what they’re called, a Long- handled cow Swatter” , Like you see Brian use on Sonne Farms from South Dakota? He doesn’t hit the couch but it just moves air above them so that they know to go in the direction end it seems to help him a lot because they move a lot of cattle and sometimes they’re using shoots, but not all the time!! He works with his son call and do you have a nice video to watch. I’m sure you can read the titles to know which ones would help you to know about What are they were moving cattle or yes they were doing fieldwork… Bailing hay etc. Anyway you, Pete and Hillary are a great team and getting the job done and I really enjoyed you calling this the great capers. Do another video like this and will enjoy it too!!😊❣️
Hi Pete, I live in rural Manitoba, Canada. I have been watching your Channel for a while now. I raise Commercial Chickens, but I'm thinking about doing something more like you do. I'm very inspired by your videos, and I take notes. This winter I will be visiting Auctions to find equipment for this next journey, and looking at changes in the Farm's infastructure. I hope to be raising Grass Fed Dexters here within the next couple of years. Thank-you for being so detailed in all your videos. I have been learning lots from you.
Just another day of living the good life. 😊😊 I'm chopping corn today but next week we will be bringing the heifers home from summer pasture. It's a 2 mile hike down the township gravel road. Fun, fun.
I'm enjoying Hillary's added involvement in videos!
I'm glad you take good care of your animals. Your wife is a very good worker. I really enjoy watching videos on your farm. Take care and God bless.
I suppose there is a channel somewhere about going to work everyday in the corporate world but I can't imagine who would watch it. Good job of sorting the cattle 👍
Graduate of UT in 1983. Like the shirt!!!!
That's an amazing operation. I'd be totally lost trying to do this.... well done you!!!
Good morning from Siesta Key Florida
I can smell the ammonia all the way down here lol
I love the way you two work together ❤

The slopping around in the mud at the end was some nice ASMR.

Another great video. Thanks for bringing reality to do many who have no idea of what is involved in raising animals for food!
My 11 year old daughter and I love your chanal. Your philosophy on life in general, closely matches mine.

What makes a gardener so jealous.....seeing the manure pile and being so envious.I need that manure. Bet you never had a comment like this one Pete 😂.
Man I am exhausted just watching you all moving the cows around.
And here’s me thinking it was all done with a lasso and a horse. Care and patience appears to work a lot better. 👍👍👍
Enjoyed this one very much. I like the way you two work together to move your animals, having an understanding of which way to move to accomplish where you want them. It is nice to listen to you talk to them.

It’s wonderful to see the old tractors working after restoration so beautifully to watch work them. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Great job, Hillary, on separating the cattle.. Take a victory lap!!
So nice to see the beautiful Hilary
I've been watching your channel daily for weeks. Glad I found it again.
I loved this!
I will use this video, and your commentary, the next time someone asks what I'm doing on the weekend and I say "we're moving/separating cows" and they think it's just a simple matter of opening a gate or two. Fascinating to see the ritual of dominating behavior to create "peace" in the herd again. Good sorting.
I do have to admire the attention and thought that goes into your breeding program. The shuffling of cattle from pen to pen in the right order reminds me of a game of spider solitaire. Still, it's nice to see someone making do with what is on hand.
Very nice industrial sized pooper scooper!! 😊
Love seeing the basics. Cows, mud, cows, mud, sort, gate, sort. gate. It's farm reality. Love it!
I just started watching so I'm not sure if this is a "thing", but I love when he says "Cmon cows!" Lol.
I’m very new here and from Texas in the heart of cattle country. I absolutely love your content, I have actual spent a better part of my morning watching your older videos. Pete., you ned to get Hillary more involved she is just absolutely adorable :)
Pete enjoyed watching you and Hillary working the cows.I to have a small farm and can never get enough of your videos. Thanks for all yall do.
Those cows though! They have to be of the most vocal cows I have ever seen hahaha. I just love this farm and its hoomans and moos!
Always a busy day on the farm. Thank you for taking us along on the farm
I love Hilary… what a lovely person she seems to be.

TO EVERYONE, Don’t forget to watch the full ads or at least 30 seconds of longer ads to help support this awesome channel!
Unfortunately, all I got was ads for, ugh... Green tractors. 🤮
Pete you are so fortunate to have such a helpful partner!
Enjoyed watching the process and thought involved, and patience.
I like your humor. Your wife is fun! I remember feeling successful after having to direct heifers to their stantions, and they were in the right place. 🐃🐂
In the beginning I was bewildered, but in the end, chaos never seemed so organized. Exactly how I like to do things myself.
Good job Pete....There's never a dull day on the farm.
"The Maginot Line" Good one Pete. No tmany people even have a clue what it was (wasn't).
Orton throwing the mud/dirt! Made my day!

Always love your videos Pete. Super to see you repping Tennessee! You are blessed to have Hillary as a partner. Take care and be well.
Moooving cow takes patience for sure! 🐮😊🐄🐄
Another great video! You are a lucky man to have such a good partner...
Hey Hillary & Pete, love to watch you guys work together
All this while holding a camera - what an accomplishment!
Wow!!! Farming is certainly a true task and dedication and love is certainly required, not to mention management.
Love the 3 way cow fight at the end...
Glad to see the Tennessee shirt - Go Vols
Hillary is a great farm hand. You two are a great team.
I would have to say, the Caper was a huge success!
John MINN, When we had to move heifers, we had to get built up for about a week before the "rodeo" started.
brought back alot of memories!
Hillary sorting out the last cow... Arms in the air. "YESSS" !!!! TOO FUNNY (All Pete did was run the gate) Now we know the true cattle herder! HA Enjoy your videos. Thanks
lol - I love your sense of humor. Seems your cows do too!!!
The caper was hilarious 😂. Thank you for sharing.

Nobody with a whit of sense calls anyone who works a farm dumb. If you hear those words uttered just realize the one speaking is the dumb person.
Hey Pete, just wanted to say I love how you and Evan from county view acres go back and forth giving each other shout outs. I think it’s great to see channel’s support each other with the way things are today it refreshing to see. I enjoy watching both of y’all. 😊
What's more fun than herding a bunch of cows? Herding a bunch of cows with a camera in your hand!
Hello Pete and Hillary. It looks like you too have planned your capers very well in the barnyard. Thank you for sharing your videos with us. 🇺🇸
Luv it when a “working the cattle “ plan comes together to almost perfection! Titus got to within about 15 yards of improvise the plan QUICKLY! Lol GREAT TEAMWORK! 🙏
Rubric’s cube - with cows!
😂 I am totally agree about cattle, you’ve got to let them think it was their idea.
Pete/Hil, it's always a joy watchin' the two of you teamed up and managing all those "kids" like you do.
Love it , love it. Pete your great. At least Hillary helped you. Great vid. See you next time !!!1❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for all the information. I always enjoy watching the animals. You Two are a good team!
Marty, Doc and Coco decided to hug it out in the end there... thanks for the great video Pete, I appreciate it.
🐼 Big Panda Bear Hugs from a 69 yr old grandma in Texas, USA. 🐼 ❤ 🎀 👍 🧚♂ 🐈 🧚
Excellent work Pete. What you need are a pair of Corgis. Bred in Wales to herd cattle by going to nip their legs. God Bless from UK.
This brings back so many good memories of when me and my family were farming
Love your videos. Thanks for showing what happens with the cows. Just finished clearing pasture so hoping to have Dexters in 1-2 years.
Glad we could help you get that calf from behind the tractor 😊
Good teamwork guys! Enjoyed the video
Great video Pete & Hillary. I'm not a farmer but I do enjoyed watching. Always interesting.
I love your channel y'all are so cute together hello from Tennessee

It’s a hand full , but that’s the way it goes sometimes as a kid we would do it, we bring them in the pen to spaying them down good because of flies.
Saludos don Peter y doña Hilary, agradable y motivacionales son sus videos. Enhorabuena felicidades 🙌 desde Tabasco México
Pete, everytime I see you and Hill it is inspiring to me. Your team work is awesome. Love all your content and how you break down the methods for your farm hustle. Also, need to send you a Texas t-shirt lol.
Oh my goodness musical cows and Bull. Lol. Good video thanks 😊
Love it when the herd gets back together

This is so fun to watch you both sorting these crazy cows, calf’s & 2bulls. My favorite plus the clown cart.😂✨👍
Hi Pete,
I live in rural Manitoba, Canada.
Fun, fun.
Great creative video thanks for sharing Pete!
Just watched with my daughter :) we love your content :)
