Thank you for sharing this. It's nice seeing old tools brought back to life instead of being treated like garbage. Serious respect to you for being able to remember where things go on the reassemble of this nice old milling machine. Would've taken me forever to remember where things go.
Meet ! the New MILLING! MACHINE !! Same ! As ! The ! OLD ! MILLING ! MACHINE !!
I have a Cincinnati it's a good machine it's sitting in my garage I haven't used it yet but some

I was yelling at you every time you used a metal hammer- especially on that bearing. Good job getting it running!!
Me too.
1. Don't drive bearings into a housing by the inner race. Into a housing drive against the outer race. Onto a shaft drive against the inner race.
2. Your locktab should be between the spanner nuts and beveled side of spanner always against the bearing.
3. You need some sealant around the drip edge part of the pan.
4. Don't drive a pulley on a motor- either heat the pulley so it is a slip fit or stand the motor up on a socket against the other end of the armature.
5. Safety glasses- your choice, but good idea if you want to keep working on machines.

I would love to have a small vertical mill. My dad had an Enco. Amazing useful, even for woodworking.
Congrats R&R on taken apart, clean&paint, and rebuilt the Makino Milling Machine. great job..
I like the way you work very professional and you don't need to be Rush in your work this machine have many part and a lot of work you can do it in 2 or 3 video so we can enjoy your great work . Have a great day brother

Very very beautiful, thanks for sharing my friend 👍👍👍👍👍👍
thank you
This is very good size for a small workshop milling machine. It looks well solid and well built. Nice job with the restoration.
I am really glad you shared this video. It was very interesting. Really like the complete tear down and restoring. Glad to see it brought back to useful again. Looking forward to your next project.
Time and effort played the role here. GREAT JOB DUDE !!!!!
A fascinating build, looks like a very compact and capable machine for the workshop, well done.
Thats a nice little mill there, great video. PS thats a Woodruff cutter not a face-mill ;)
I love restoring vintage machines have 7 lathes and a Sheldon horizontal mill can't beat there quality

Nice machine! Great restoration.
🔧✌️
Cannot believe he’s using the same bearings.
The new bearings he did use are ruined by hitting the centre race.🫣🤦🏻
Great cleaning and repaint
Great job

Nice little mill! Great job!
Awesome machine, well done.😊
I’m always amazed at how organized you are! I love old machines especially theses old mills you are very good at your craft sir. Thanks for your videos 😊🙏
thank you
😄😄😄
As someone who works in a very small shop I am very jealous of those with room enough to organise on the fly. Everything has to be pre-setup for me.
Black gloves.... very eccential!!!!
Great work. Looks like a well made mill.
thank you
Id love to have this mill.
good job! I was very excited with your machine- repare
Wow,wow, Great to see and great that all the recycled machinery is working again. Don't buy anything new, just get started. It motivates to start recycling devices ourselves.
The things I buy for restoration are called waste
@@restoration-restore-repair The people who throw it away don't think. Just want to have, to have and to have.
In this way, as you do it, we are already saving nature.

Complimenti!! un ottimo lavoro, bravo!!👍🖐
Wonderful job cleaning and restoring the milling machine to working order. I bet that took a lot of hard work and a lot of time. Well done.
As an electrician I have a lot of experience from maintaining electric motors. These are the most important things you need to check:
1. The insulation resistance between the electric windings and between them and the ground.
2. The resistance of the windings
3. The condition of the bearings.
Also the condition of the shell and flanges as well as the straightness (balance) of the rotor need to be checked.
Normally only the bearings are worn out and need to be replaced. You know that if the motor sounds like a sound dampened stone crusher already when you turn the shaft by hand. I bet this motor does it.
I can't see that anything of this has been done. Cleaning and painting isn't proper maintenance. And you NEVER mount bearings by hitting them with hard steel tools!!! The best would be to press them onto the shaft and not hit them at all.
I enjoy watching this videos but where they find all this machinery
excellent vid excellent colour scheme
thank you
Very good👍👍👍
Nice and clear job, when i finished my lathe restoration, i will also do it for my milling machine :)
DRO and maybe some power feed, nice little machine ;-)
awesome re build mate you are brilliant the things you do are great to watch great video all the best
Buen trabajo, felicitaciones. Good job, congratulations. From Colombia
thank you
Using slot cutters for face milling?Ive never tried that before😆
Nice
Dude took this whole thing apart with a flat head screw driver, an Allen wrench and a hammer. Damn.
Great job again Peter
Nice job bringing that old machine back to useful life! The spindle bearings sounded a bit loud? Maybe it was the style of bearing or were the worn and pitted? Either way, that old machine will be useful to someone.
Also, another vote for you to wear protective eyewear. Also, wearing gloves when working with chemicals so your skin does not absorb them. Most of those chemicals are toxic and will cause cancer down the road. None of us want that.
Keep up the good work on your restorations!
And it would not matter None !
The good advice always a good think to help people to be better.
Muito bom trabalho 👍👍👏👏
Had tapered roller bearings just for the handwheels!!! Lucky if you get thrust bearings these days!!!
Hammer and a screwdriver on locking collets- make an adjustable c spanner instead of smashing them up
Not sure removing parts for cleaning and painting would be called restoration. Never saw parts replaced with new, checking of components for wear or windings tested.
Bác này người Việt à ?
I am surprised it came apart so easily. It looked like it has been sitting for a very long time. The inside was very clean and dry. Did you scrape and flake the ways and gibs,I couldn't tell. You did good putting it back together, no spare parts I hope.
Good ii boss 👍👍😊😊😍😍
Nice job, congratulations :). I must say thay i was quite suprise seeing all electric components "Made in Poland", I was not aware that my country was selling components to japaneese machines. Thanks for the video.
Execelente trabalho parabéns. Brasil
Por favor siempre usa lentes.
bearings killer....
Derust and paint
made me flinch quite a feww times (the way he took things apart the hammering on the bearings , using a grinder to clean the ways etc , it looks to have been a pretty good machine though it was missing some of the horizontal milling atachments
Hi, this milling machine is from Poland. This is FWE 16 (Ponar-Remo) 😃
Też mi się tak wydaje
Awesome job thanks for sharing this 😀
thank you very muck
Bravissimo.
Olá amigo que trabalho fantástico, parabéns!!!
Grande abraço daqui do Brasil a todos aí!!!
Great work my friend. You are very knowledgeable, and intelligent person 🙂👍
are you kidding????? a knowledgeable and intelligent person doesn't hit bearings with hammers.
Very nice. Wish you had a better milling tool though! Very big bite for that small bit. There would have been a lot less chatter with a cutter that was worthy of what that machine can do. Big job on all of that cast iron. Well done!
Interesting, nice little vertical or horizontal mill. Too bad it didn't come with the horizontal parts. Just out of curiosity, what taper is the spindle?
good job
thank you
@@restoration-restore-repair
Good on him for trying BUT I’m amazed this went as well as it did considering he fucked the bearings, water washed like that, painted badly, used the wrong cutter for that operation, and used an engine hoist wrong.
I would not be surprised if this is what they taught people to do in the grizzly factory
the Z feed needs a retrofit.... bevel gear with shaft bolted right to the chip pan
😍😃👍🏻
i liked it, but you should learn how to install bearing the correct way.
Excellent Work 👍

Nice renovation. I have a question, if it is a Japanese milling machine, why does it have an electrical installation and drivers from APA TOR and Made in Poland markings? Is it possible to upload a photo of the nameplate with the model, production date and manufacturer's designation?
POLSKA frezarką FWE 16, widocznie robili na export do Japonii, a tamci pchali jako swoje.
