- The Grateful Dead bust out a scorching "Franklin's Tower" at Soldier Field in Chicago 2015 in the "Fare The Well" concert series. Trey can't stop smiling as we "Roll Away, Roll Away the Dew!" Recorded the 1st night, 7/3/15, from the Pit. Please change settings to 1080p to watch in Full HD.
Best show I've ever been to.......what an amazing nite that was!
Rich Bailey it was indeed a fantastic night.
Trey's joy is infectious!
Pure joy. So happy to have been there. It was all beautiful.
Smokin' Hot FT- Trey & the boys are jammin and smiling, Roll away....
Thanks for posting. I loved this show
What a night!
Talk about putting a smile on my face. ......
neck scrubbing @ 6:40! marvelous! Caught the broadcast w/ my 2 oldest Dead buddies. Tears of joy.
Trey glowed, but Jerry shined....I miss him
It's all subjective...both are/were exceptional
This group is just starting. They will make Billions.
Event Trading i will enjoy every minute of it
The energy in that place breaks the space/time continuum at 6:54! Epic.
Anthony Mannara yeah it's good, trey is awesome. jer would of dropped a heart bomb in that solo that shook the soul of everyone.
Anthony Mannara the multiverse spoke....
+Anthony Mannara It really did. I don't know how many shows i've seen, couldn't care less. Quite a few for sure, but this, this was epic. We could all feel it. No one will ever replace Jerry, we all know that. That's not what this was about, this was about us. About the years we spent, following this music, because it made us feel the way we feel, let us feel the way we feel. Love. Love is all you need. aoxomoxoa
Great camera work!😊🙄😊🙄🙄
The 153 highlights of my life were spent dancing with Alicia, Jerrry, and these guys.
Jerry was smiling. Dawg, I think Trey was trying to give the Deadhead what they wanted lots of clean improvisation. Jerry didn't [lay much slide, although at 11-1-85 Richmond I saw Bob and Jerry do a kick ass slide duet during Red Rooster. That was my 2nd show.
I have to say Trey did it with A Scarlet Begonias . That's my jam
Loved this show but the last one I saw in 94 in Tampa was a lot better!!
Just enjoy the music people....the hard core 4 are out there on stage getting shit done! Like they always do.
JD Willey hear! hear!
This was the full experience from the parking lot and the show for all three nights.. great video to watch if you want to know how the experience was.. ua-cam.com/video/wdFGtIidE2g/v-deo.html
I think bruce Hornsby should play with dead and co
Does anyone know why John Kadlecik of Further was not given the lead? He is way, way more in sinc with the Dead Boys than the Fish dude. Kadlecik's hundreds of Further shows clearly show this but in the end it has the Dead's choice. Fish guitar sounds acrid while Kadlecik's was melodic
+mikemednick If you would have been there, you wouldn't say that. John K can't match Trey's energy & his guitar tone was damn near perfect. They absolutely made the right choice & everyone in the venue knew it.
Because they didn't want to play with fake jerry. John K. has contributed nothing original to the music world. Classic coat-tail surfer.
At minimum Billy K would not play with him. Plus, Trey could handle playing in front 80K. There also the fact that Trey is guitar legend.
Pamela Murphy has been removed by the moderators from making comments on this video. Thank you everyone else for Keeping it Kind.
… On 9/13/21 Pamela Murphy returned under the screen name “J Elliot” and left another nasty comment. Pamela, you are spreading evil throughout this world. Be aware of the world you are heading to.
I was there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pamela Murphy Yea, it was not called The Grateful Dead , but "Fare Thee Well A celebration of The Grateful Dead"
They have not called themselves The Grateful Dead since Jerry's death in 1995. Further, The Other Ones, The Dead, Fare Thee Well, but not The Grateful Dead since 1995.
Still it was one of the few times the remaining four members Bill, Bob, Phil and Mickey all on stage together since 1995 and the first time since 2009. It was a great set of shows!
Pamela Murphy Then just go away go away. What are you, the Donald Trump of music critics? Haters gonna hate. Just let the music play!
Kevin Samuel Haber actually was billed as the grateful dead btw - its on all the material related to the concerts...and it was epic
Kevin Williams You are wrong. It was billed as "Fare Thee Well: A Celebration of The Grateful Dead"
Look more closely.
Pamela now you are contradicting yorself. you are saying its not The Grateful Dead and then you are saying " a rose is still a rose".
Bob Weir was adamant in saying "this is not 'The grateful dead' this is 'Fare Thee Well: Celebration of 5o years of The Grateful Dead.'"
sofa king good!
PHIL LESH : R O CK STAR , BABY !!!
George Morris .......living breathing god.
We all know trey could have destroyed that place he played it nice and easy probably at the request of the four.
