Yeah the Swarmlord is such genius, and the only way the fluff could make it sound like one was by making the regular Hive Tyrants seem like idiots during a battle with the Ultramarines.
Sadly, no, that level isn't available for the Tyranids. Aside from which, I'm really curious as to how the Mad Mek would get power for his tellyporta from a Digestion Pool. At least with the other things (Teleportarium, Webway Port, Warp Rift, other Ork Tellyporta) it makes sense that power could be drawn from these devices, but how exactly could one draw electrical power from a pool of digestive juices?
The Swarm Lord even when killed can come back it has some sort of genetic back up within the swarm so even when killed it can still come back. But if your question what can kill the SL in single combat (as in HQ in the overall 40k lore) are Abbadon, Kaldor Draigo, Asdurbael Vect and Ghazghkull are the only thayt can go toe to toe without instant death.
arbiter690 I don't really know much about Halo but I doubt a Spartan would stand any chance, A dozen expierinced Yautja may be enough but only when they know what they are doing and I wouldn't count on anything from the Aliens as the Tyranids are literally Aliens on steroids. The only Zerg I could picture winning against the SL would be Kerrigan, a bunch of archons might do the trick, the terrans would be screwed, maybe one of these Zerg/Protoss Hybrids. Again I lack a bit of information here but a powerfull Jedi/Sith might be able to do it though I'm not even sure if a lightsaber would even hurt the SL. But you wanna know what the sickest part of the SL is, he is not even the strongest creature the Tyranids have his role is more that of a General (for some reason they just choose him as the superheavy unit in the Game)
You know, there is a good reason I dislike the Nids campaing. No interesting character chatter or development. don't get me wrong, I like the Nidz, but they seems to have taken the worst part because they have no character besides the Hive Mind, whose voice is the same of the vanilla DoW2, but trying to be more scary...
You do understand Tyranids don't talk, right? They don't waste time on trivial things because they EAT WHOLE PLANETS. Or well, they take all the important stuff and leave a lifeless husk. The only reason they'd 'talk' is to be all, "where're we going to next, huh? Oh, over there. Let's go eat some idiots".
There is no such thing as characters in the tyranid species. Every single organism in the swarm is simply a cell in the body. If they actually created tyranid characters with backstories and dialogue it would be lore breaking
A.I. voice on Judgement of Carrion gives me chills. In a good way.
+DrMlieko not really. It's just the (normally optional) labor engine mission.
Only you guard a zoanthrope rather than a big ass gunless tank.
I wonder what color scheme the feral Tyranids have, what Hive Fleet they were originally from?
Red and blue, it's Behemot, the first notable Hive-Fleet, or Dagon (wich is a splinter from Behemot) or Harbinger
Black and Red, it's Moloch
Zoanthrope: They see me rollin......
i like how the other factions have a wee bitch-fight over the blame; the tyranids just get on with the nomming ^^
The Hive Mind tolerates none of that individuality bullshit - that's what makes the Tyranids so efficient.
Well amusingly enough thanks to Matt Ward's new space marine fan fic fluff for the Ultramarines that fits so well.
Gabriel Angelos Has been the narrarator in this campaign. What happens after he dies in the last mission
he doesnt die,he becomes the chapter master of the blood magpies
woah cheney's on fire! :)
@tresetatiniephil Was wondering that myself. Maybe he left recordings for the Imperium before going into his final battle with Kyras?

lol used to be a truck now its this thing xD
Can the Hive Lord fight the Mad Mek?

magic
@@thescribeinyellow3985 Maybe like potato/lemon batteries?
FUCK YEAH, THE SWARMLORD! FINALLY!
@tresetatiniephil i think canon ending is BLUHD RAHVENS-ending..
@tresetatiniephil I don't think it's literally Captain Angelos. :P
What can successfully kill the Swarm Lord?

Any others from different places like Halo, AVP, Starcraft or Star Wars for example?

What is the strongest creature within the Tyranid Hive Fleets?
arbiter690 That would be a Hydraphant, aTyranid Biotitan which is said to even be bigger than a Emperor Titan, wich is 100m high (328 feet).

They should have taken the Starcraft route and used something from old lore like Zoats
