This is technically a scripted fight. The battlewagon CAN be killed by ordinance and fire, but the 'gimmick' of the fight is to force it to run over the explosive barrels which do massive damage against it, otherwise the battle can take several minutes longer than it is supposed to. The battlewagon isn't actually that strong, just for this mission as a boss fight it is.
