Interesting thing I noticed - in P3rd, Gen and GenU, Amatsu's roar is considered "weak" - it could be blocked by Earplugs (10 points in the Hearing skill). Now it's "strong", requiring 5(?) ranks of the Earplugs skill or 3 ranks of Defiance to block, assuming it's becoming enraged. I think it should have been a "powerful" roar - which needs 5 ranks of Defiance to block - especially since Amatsu is the original "floating Asian dragon god" of Monster Hunter, and both Ibushi and Narwa have roars of that caliber.
You should @ BannedLagiacrus Lol as this further helps on the theory going on about how risebreak's amatsu is an adult version of GU and MH3rdP's and risebreak's amatsu is longer and larger if you compare it side by side on its official render.

Dragons in general seem to be known for not suffering like most creatures do from old age, and growing only more powerful as time passes. It would be no surprise if elder dragons followed the same logic.
Allmother is better compared to him. Even if she wasn’t, even Base Narwa is definitely “something” to him. They both could gravely injure him in a fight even if they lost.

Amatsu literally is a whole natural disaster, it controls the rain, the wind, the lightning and is much faster than Allmother and Ibushi combined, in addition to having largerscale attacks. Only threat Allmother caused was the Rampage, but Amatsu itself is canonically known to has wiped out more than two Human settlements, and dominating the skies enough to only be rivaled by Valstrax. And can also create new combos on the go aswell as being far more physically adept that Amatsu. I don’t know if you’re implying Ibushi and Narwa couldn’t destroy human settlements to which if you are, you’re wrong. Monsters even on the levels of Teostra and Kushala consistently destroy human settlements, so not much of an argument. Ibushi has his dragon wind which is far more powerful than normal wind that Amatsu uses. Narwa has a far more better grasp of lightning and is far more skilled and developed aswell as more effective in its use. They both are more physically adept than Amatsu. And frankly, I’d argue them to be blatantly physically stronger and more durable aswell.

I wish amatsu’s ultimate attack effect didn’t dissapear if you use the great wirebug, makes it hard to enjoy the spectacle of the fight without dying Although that is literally my only complaint about him
I was disappointed when i knew that u can just farcaster during the ultimate attack to avoid it😅 I was hoping that the dev will block farcaster usage just like what they did to fatalis n alatreon fight Or They can make it like, give the player an option If u use farcaster, amatsu will cancel the ult n become very aggressive when u come back to fight him..an unnecessary difficulty added if u choose to run from the ult Or u can just go through the ult just like what the game has intended( using the great wirebug to evade it.. etc )

if Lagia can fly, they can put them on newer gen... lol its already explained by MH team that Lagia too large that its gonna clipping on the map, even Almudron, who are smaller version of Lagia, got clipping a lot like its tail or head, moreover Lagia who is much larger than almudron.

Men i really don't understand capcom's need to change the roars of some monsters when their original roars where fine and their new roars are GARBAGE like my poor Zinogre Roar in MHW and now this one, feels bad
@@htfs493 My short comment may had me look just like a angry fanboy, i'll try to elaborate now, the roar of the monsters are part of their identity, now is fair to say that in old gens the roars had some issues in audio quality (compare Gen 1 Rathalos to Gen 4) but it was improved over time, i wouldn't be mad if the new roars where wild or explosive, but seriously just hear old rathalos or zinogre and compare it to the new ones, they now feel generic and bland, in some cases it was an improvement like for example Rajang, but in some of the important monsters it's inferior.

Fun fact: if you bring utsushi as the only follower, the apex zinogre will 100% return instead of being replaced By crimson glow valstrax
It also works with another follower. Utsushi has to be one but the other could be anyone.

This should have been an earsplitting roar similar to Narwa and Ibushi's.

So far I managed to dodge it by waiting until the very last moment. There's a second or two when the tunnel disappears as Amatsu is charging in.

Go diagonally to the side. There are some angles that let you slip in the gap between Amatsu and the tunnel.
