Lainie's take on Tails in the OVA will always be special to me. It's so nasally and cute. I also love Amy's voice for him. But Colleen's makes him sound older which really suits him.
I love how most of the older ones are voiced by, or sound like they were voiced by, actual kids. But I have to agree that Amy Palant really set the bar for Tail’s voice. After her, he begins to sound more like the Tails we know today. Kate and Colleen are also pretty good. They’ve kept consistent for all these years, which is awesome! It’s so hard to choose though.
Corey/Conner Bringas will ALWAYS be the true voice of Tails for me. The other actors make his voiced too high pitched to the point where he sounds like a girl. The Bringas brothers did a great job at making him sound young, innocent, and eager while not going overboard with it. Sonic has always been an older brother figure for Tails and the Bringas brothers' voices REALLY make him sound like your little brother.

I really like Collen O'Shaughnessy's Tails' voice and Kate Higgins. I would like a combination between the two, Kate makes Tails sound more intelligent than Collen, but Collen makes Tails more excited than Kate, and Tails is more of a mixture of the two.
Most children (male or female) in cartoons are voiced by women. Sega, for some reason, kept insisting on casting prepubescant boys to play him, which is why he had a different actor for SA, SA2, and Heroes. Fun fact, the actors for SA1&2 were brothers, and both were 11 when they played Tails.
I love Kate Higgins the best. I'm a voice actress and I voice Tails along with other characters. The versions of Tails I try to impersonate are both Higgins and Palant.

John Isaac I think they should've stuck to male child actors myself but most people use female adults as voices for young boys because their voices tend to be higher and they don't have to constantly worry about replacing the actor. It's easier to get a woman to put on a high, childlike voice than to have a boy play a character for one season and then have to be replaced because his voice changed. I certainly believe there are plenty of men with high voices or can make their voices high, so I do think it's strange to just rely on women to do voices of young boys as if it's only women who can sound like that. Saying Tails "sounds like a girl" makes little sense because there are children who sound the same, and you can't differentiate gender based on voice. Even then, there's really no "sounding like a boy/girl" because anyone can have a high or deep voice, whether they're male or female.
Colleen O' Shaughnessey: I'm gonna be brutally honest, I was really skeptical when I heard that Kate Higgins was getting replaced, but she does a spot on Kate Higgins Impression she's also great at doing the comedy bit in the Sonic Boom TV show. Kate Higgins: The PERFECT Tails voice, I immediately liked the voice when I first heard it in Sonic Generations. Amy Palant: i didn't like the voice until Sonic Unleashed & Sonic & The Black Knight. She made Tails sound like a girl in Sonic X and in most of the games. William Corkery: *Covers ears to stop the bleeding* My god, Why did they choose him for Tails... The Bringas Bros: i like Conner's take because that what 7 year old me thought that would be a good fit for Tails at the time Sonic Adventure 2 came out. Corey Bringas was by far the best sounding voice and has never been topped since. His brother in SA2 was a decent voice double too. The problem with the brothers was their lack of direction and stilted deliveries. Mostly with Conner, but Corey had his bad moments too. The voices themselves were absolutely perfect, but the acting needed work. With a little time they could have gotten better.
True. But tbh I think that Connor did better. Ik it was the voice direction, but Connor seemed to have given Tails more emotion than Corey, despite sounding like he was reading off a script sometimes. Corey had more steady acting and sounded more subtle, with Connor going for the more snarky and fun type of character who also knew how to take things seriously.
The problem with these two is that I hear too much Sakura and Konohamaru in then. Conner delivers the most unique tone, well Amy comes in pretty close as well.

The original two voices are fitting for Classic Tails. I mean, age-wise, he is practically a baby during those games. Lainie Frasier brings a pretty cute characterization to him too. I love the Sonic Adventure to Sonic Heroes voices the most for Modern Tails though :) The issue with child actors is that they grow up :( Other than that, I actually really like the Boom actor for him.

Collen O' Shaughnessey is my favorite she makes Tails sound like a teenage boy and I was so happy to meet her at Collect A Con along with Charles Martinet in summer of last year but it sucks that they wouldn't allow me to take videos of me talking to them. But Kate Higgins did a fantastic job and the Bringas brothers also did a fantastic job in the Adventure Era
Nah, she doesn’t fit Tails that well. Though it’s still better than Kate Higgins’s Classic Tails. In terms of Classic Tails, William would’ve been a better fit.
Jesse for me it’s Corey bringas who’s best and plus tails has that high voice and theirs not many boys with that voice so the only voice actors that can match it are girls
The best VAs were the Bringas brothers (Adventure saga), but they obviously sounded well because they were pre-teens playing a pre-teen character. Having any of them play Tails isn't possible anymore. On the other hand, Kate Higgins is pretty good. I can see (or rather, hear) why many still call her "Tails's best voice actress".
I honestly don't know which one could be my favorite Tails voice but for Colleen, and the rest of the other women who voiced as Tails, should've lowered their voice a bit then add that semi-raspy tone to it. I've tried that and to me it sounds kinda more how I imagined Tail's voice should've been (I'm not saying I should be Tail's voice actress, It's just how it should sound like to me). Meh, whatever. They're all okay.
Sweet! I grew up with Amy Pallant and Kate Higgins voices for Miles Tails Prower, so I've been used to theirs for years. Collen O' Shaugnessy is new for me but isn't that bad either so it's all goodie!

I'm always weirdly a fan of the OVA voices. I admire SEGA for using actual children to voice Tails but ultimately the end product was pretty shoddy at points, which is why young male voices are almost always done by women. The subsequent efforts are much better.
I kinda like Lainie Frasier's... _unique_ OVA dub voice. Yeah it's annoying - REALLY ANNOYING. But in a cute childish kinda way. Reminds me of a childhood buddy I had that had a permanent swollen nasal passage. No it isn't the best voice for Tails - hell it could easily be the worst - but I still like it. It's so unique that I oddly look forward to hearing it whenever I watch the OVA.
Palant is a joke. She is inexperienced in doing boy voices. Higgins channeled Dana Hill and Christine Cavaunagh as well as Elizabeth Daily. She's the ONLY actress that can make and keep Tails boyish. The Bringas brothers did an exceptional job.

I've always enjoyed all of Tails' voices(even though he sounded he had a stuffy nose in the Sonic ova). My most favorite ones are the Bringas brothers, William, Amy, Kate, & Colleen.
I personally love Amy Palant and Colleen Villard's voice roles as Tails. Colleen Villard also did Pinkfong in Pinkfong Wonderstar and Ino from Naruto. Amy Palant, is definitely in my top 10 favorite voice actors. The other voice actors being Vic Mignogna, Jennifer Hale, Rob Paulsen, and Cree Summer.

Actually he's tied with Littlefoot for most voice actors with 10, techincally Littlefoot has 11 but this is including a game and it was pretty much voiced by one voice actress for all of the charachters. So does'nt really count to me.

Amy Palant is the best imo I love what she did in Sonic X and Unleashed and all those other games I love this Tails Is the most awesome!! ;D With of course Kate Higgens a very close second being a really good Tails, really making Tails sound more like a boy, lol!! Christopher Welch really outdone himself as well being a close 3rd since Tails voice is so cute and the best out of Sat AM and TAOSTH and that Christmas special... And oh God, the voice Tails had in Sonic OVA... O.O anyway, the 4th is the one and only Coleen O'Shaughnessey!! Pretty good job, not as good as the other 3!! ;D

Collen O' Shaughnessey is my favorite she makes Tails sound like a teenage boy and I was so happy to meet her at Collect A Con along with Charles Martinet in summer of last year but it sucks that they wouldn't allow me to take videos of me talking to them. But Kate Higgins did a fantastic job and the Bringas brothers also did a fantastic job in the Adventure Era

The best VAs were the Bringas brothers (Adventure saga), but they obviously sounded well because they were pre-teens playing a pre-teen character. Having any of them play Tails isn't possible anymore.
On the other hand, Kate Higgins is pretty good. I can see (or rather, hear) why many still call her "Tails's best voice actress".

I honestly don't know which one could be my favorite Tails voice but for Colleen, and the rest of the other women who voiced as Tails, should've lowered their voice a bit then add that semi-raspy tone to it. I've tried that and to me it sounds kinda more how I imagined Tail's voice should've been (I'm not saying I should be Tail's voice actress, It's just how it should sound like to me). Meh, whatever. They're all okay.

I'm always weirdly a fan of the OVA voices. I admire SEGA for using actual children to voice Tails but ultimately the end product was pretty shoddy at points, which is why young male voices are almost always done by women. The subsequent efforts are much better.
I kinda like Lainie Frasier's... _unique_ OVA dub voice. Yeah it's annoying - REALLY ANNOYING. But in a cute childish kinda way. Reminds me of a childhood buddy I had that had a permanent swollen nasal passage.
No it isn't the best voice for Tails - hell it could easily be the worst - but I still like it.
It's so unique that I oddly look forward to hearing it whenever I watch the OVA.

Palant is a joke. She is inexperienced in doing boy voices. Higgins channeled Dana Hill and Christine Cavaunagh as well as Elizabeth Daily. She's the ONLY actress that can make and keep Tails boyish.

I've always enjoyed all of Tails' voices(even though he sounded he had a stuffy nose in the Sonic ova). My most favorite ones are the Bringas brothers, William, Amy, Kate, & Colleen.
I personally love Amy Palant and Colleen Villard's voice roles as Tails. Colleen Villard also did Pinkfong in Pinkfong Wonderstar and Ino from Naruto. Amy Palant, is definitely in my top 10 favorite voice actors. The other voice actors being Vic Mignogna, Jennifer Hale, Rob Paulsen, and Cree Summer.
