Aww man, I was so proud of myself for coming up with "Chekov's Butt-Plug" and here's Lani recorded on stream saying it at least 24 hours before I even saw the movie.
God, this movie was SO GOOD. I just went this last weekend and couldn't believe how excellent a movie I had seen literally nothing about before it released was. Like god damn, every actor was brilliant, it handled multiple universes in a coherent way, the action was good, AND it was simultaneously funny, compelling, AND heartwarming. Only thing that sucked was some fucko brought 2 kids that were ≤12 and they both wouldn't stay goddamn quiet and sort of hurt the rock scene by reading the goddamn dialogue out loud. This movie is not for children. Edit: oh man, hearing about how Ke Huy Quan re-entered acting because they finally let Asians be in real non-caricature rolls makes my heart melt too.
one of the best parts was noticing how enraptured the audience was by the time the rock scene happens that you could have heard a pin drop in the theatre ( someone dropped the pen in the front row and it was almost jarringly loud seriously, that's how captivated everyone was) GO FUCKING WATCH IT
EEAAO is the best passion project and artful acid trip of a film. The Daniels managed to balance every genre to a great degree and not half assed, the intergenerational trauma for a Chinese mom to move to a new place and all the quirkiness is well done. And the fact that they made Evelyn grow as a character without being labeled as someone who's wrong/who's habits are bad. Its is nice change of pace compared to how other movies would handle. My favorite aspects of this film is that it's created by folks that self taught themselves. The Daniels watched UA-cam videos to learn how to edit, Martial Club self taught themselves martial arts and did the action for Shang Chi and Paper tigers, and lastly only SEVEN Vfx artists did the effects. So much love for this film ♥
This movie is the antithesis of Fight Club. It literally stands up and defies nihilism by being kind. It's easy to give in to those negative feelings. But it takes great strength to rise above it. To find another way to deal with what the world throws at you. And it reminds you that you and those you love matter.
One thing that I thought was super powerful about the climax was how ultimately Evelyn let Joy choose to come back and that they didn't force her. That moment when she let Joy go and she walked into The Bagel but then came back anyway hit ten times harder than if they had just held her so tight she couldn't go. Also I don't know if you realized this, I had to have it pointed out myself. But googley eyes are white with a black center vs the bagel being black with a white center, which adds whole extra layers onto that symbolism of the googley eyes being the dad's thing and passion and uuugh this movie is too good
I’m also a fan of the multiple timeline story Higurashi and Umineko are my personal favorite for each timelines broken into questions and then answers.
19:40 And the most crazy thing is, the choreography for the fights were made by the guys from the anal plug fight, they have a UA-cam Channel "Martial Club" they do Kung Fu sketches imitating the fights from old movies like Bruce Lee
I just saw this movie last Sunday, and highkey enjoyed it despite it feeling like my brain had melted after finishing it. Easily one of the most weird yet unique and experimental films in recent years, and it’s definitely the multiverse movie to hold me over ‘till we get Doctor Strange 2 lol.
This was the first movie in a long time that has captivated me. I can understand how some people will never wrap their heads around this film and that's fine (you still have you mainstream stuff). The Chinese/English swapping is completely what my parents do so loved it.
I just caught this movie in theaters today, and I really liked it. Emotionally, this film was pulling my strings like a master puppeteer. The rock universe was my favorite part, especially the second time it comes up.
Do you guys plan on uploading the jujutsu kaisen 0 review again? I was excited to watch it but was saving 'till after i watched the movie( since the release date was delayed in my country)
It definitely gave me plenty of the same vibes as the OG Matrix. And besides maybe Scott Pilgrim, I feel like it’s the most visually stunning movie since the Matrix in terms of its action scenes and matching its visuals with the storytelling.
You’ve probably remembered by now but it’s homaging Hong Kong director Wong Kar-Wai (Fallen Angels, Chungking Express, & In the Mood for Love especially)
Loki and What-If have basically been confirmed for season 2 afaik. Wanda will of course get her story continued in Doctor Strange 2 and apparently her own movie or show, and Sam and Bucky will return in Captain America 4. Dunno about Hawkeye, but Echo (badass deaf girl) is getting her own spin-off series, so that’s neat. Also, I’d totally recommend for Scott to just play Deltarune as it is now. Being that each chapter has taken years to make, so who knows how long it’ll all be about. That and each chapter is its own self-contained story arc instead of one continuous story like Undertale, so the episodic release actually suits it much better. And I don’t really think you’d get much from playing it all at once other than having the lingering questions answered faster.
As a man who still listens to reviews and watches Super Sentai and Kaman Rider , I love the whole story of Moon Knight I'd say it is one of if not my favorite MCU property.
Just go watch the OP for Paripi Koumei (Ya Boi Kongming) and tell me you're not interested. Spy family, komi, kaguya are all gonna get love this season, but Kongming is the truth. Re-focusing, i am extremely exctied to finally see EEAAO. Cheers!
The sheer joy Jesse takes out of being around makes me so happy. He constantly makes me laugh.

"Scott Jokes"...
"SCOTT TAKES" was RIGHT there!!! From now on, ALL Kaizer jokes are now SCOTT TAKES.
Thank you so much for convincing me to see this film! It was just as amazing as the hype made it seem!

Wish the tfs gang discover umineko tbh

Kaiser said on his twitter that since he accidentally said manga spoilers, he won’t be re-uploading the review
@@leedriver7029 It seems weird not to just edit that part out or give a a spoiler warning, but whatevs.
@@leedriver7029 oh i see... thanks for the info.
Did anyone else feel like this movie was just the Matrix trilogy executed much better?

this movie only came out 2 days in LDN but it was FUKING worth the wait
Literally just went and saw this yesterday becuase Scott remeomded it during the discord stage thing
In the universe where Evelyn is a movie star, the skipped frames is a deep cut to a great Chinese film that I can’t remember for the life of me
You’ve probably remembered by now but it’s homaging Hong Kong director Wong Kar-Wai (Fallen Angels, Chungking Express, & In the Mood for Love especially)
@@embird7864 Hong Kong express! That was the one I was thinking of!!

This movie was great.
4:30 eyyy, KaiserNeko watches Arlo! Cool
When more bento bar???
❤️
Woo
So, a new version of The One? Also, can we please stop it with the " it's not making as much money as this other movie" stuff?
"Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" is one of the most confusing and dumbest names I've ever heard of.
It seems dumb at first, but it makes sense once you see the actual movie.
go watch it and understand that it's the only way to accuratly describe the movie
It's fits with the movie but yeah it doesn't roll off the tongue well
Please get that Jesse dude outta these. Haven't been able to watch the last three episodes..
But he's cool.
Also don't come into one of our videos and shit talk our friend without giving any kind of argument. You're just being rude.
Sounds like a personal problem
