If you get my drift, your talking about lies that have divided people which yes, that has happened plenty. But some stuff thats talked about having happened between races, religions and countries have not been lies, but we should not let that divide us but rather learn from it and bring us closer. My crazy uncle came to my mothers house acting like he was George Clinton with the flashlight (pulling the curtain close, and mommy was at work) well she came home early and it was over. 🤣🤣Everyone got in trouble acting like they were at a Parliament concert (house full of his friends, my brothers and cousins as everyone had a flashligh). Everybody got in trouble except me. We may have had fun but nothing is like my mother being piss off. I’m still confused how anyone would get confused over all them. I hear most these musicians on radio growing up, and I never thought anyone of them weren’t white. Bee gees sounded like high pitched British dudes, KC just a 70’s pop rock sound. Righteous brothers I found 2 years ago and I’m still wondering why ppl get confused.

Back in the day we would watch American Bandstand with the commodors and Soul Train with ABBA and KC. Back when were intergrated and equal. Before big music corps re-segregated the music by race.
I love your spirit in this reaction video. KC did indeed pioneer disco music. And, yeah...this song set it off at parties and discos like no other. And, he's a genius in how he put his band together and keeps it together, just as tight, to this day.
Just found your channel, and you guys are fun. Great reaction to a song by a band I grew up with, and still creates good feelings for me now so many years later. Music brings us all together, no matter how different we are. Much love, and have a great holiday season guys!
How could we take it wrong? Ivory brother? I LIKE that, sounds poetic... And being told you thought it had to be a black man with that groove ? Compliment!!! The beat is sick. ... What's not to like???
One of the best and most definitive grooves of the 70's .. this one takes me wayyyyyyy back to my youth!! Love to see the joy and smile on your faces listening to this one - great reaction!!
A lot of these videos were filmed for the show Soul Train... It was a weekly show that featured the top ten artists every week.. It started as a black show, but yes, everyone watched it... Every color.. Not only could you hear and see the bands, you hit to see all the latest dance moves lol.. A definite favorite among younger people of the day... One of my favs back then ❤ 💙 💜 💖
Story time. December 1976, I was 4 years old and growing up in Tampa Florida. My parents who were 20 and 21 when I was born took me to see KC and the Sunshine Band at Disney World. My mom was pregnant with my sister. I tell that story every time someone reacts to KC! One of my favs to this day
i used to have a bike, with what folks called a boom-box, strapped to the handlebars by a cord on it. it had a cassette player on it. rode around town with this song blasting way past 10. great times!!! 😂😂🔥🔥👏👏👏👏👏
I love when we're surprised by the race of a singer. It means it really doesn't matter in music. And in the 70s, there were lots of GREAT bands that were mixed race: The Doobie Brothers, Rufus & Chaka Khan and KC & The Sunshine Band.
Damn straight, there were plenty of mixed ethnicity groups in the 50s and 60s too, they were usually excellent, The Pyramids, The Del Vikings, The Impalas, Sly and the Family Stone,The Chamber's Brothers.
I was so blessed. I was a kid growing up in Miami and this guy, barely in his 20s, out of Hialeah, puts out hit after hit. His music (funk) helped me through some tough times.
Music transcends colors and every other external needless things we as people usually acknowledge. Music is a universal language we as human beings can utilize to bridge all gaps the outside world(politicians, media, and those nefarious agendas) who try to divide us for their own personal gains. Also love that you both have discovered Pink Floyd. It’s one of the best rabbit holes you can go down😊
Love this band, close my eyes and l'm back in 1975......l am from the UK and this was a big hit back then, the boys in the brass section were sensational.....😃 'l'm your boogie man' next. please....

As a sixty-year-old woman I keep praying for those beautiful times to come back and not see a color or race.. I absolutely adore you two.. I watch you all the time.. sorry it took so long to get to this one.. I've been doing so many of these reaction videos and then I come across this and I was so excited..😊❤❤
Your reaction is wonderful, songs from my youth I was 14 when this came out so many wonderful memories and you all loving this is such a joy.. Keep up the the awesome reactions..
Anybody who went to a true 70s party back then never remembered anything from said party. You had to piece together the clues from the stains on your clothing, which, half the time, wasn't the clothing you swore you went out with. This quickly led us to invent selfies using a Polaroid camera.
The drummer..his name was porky..an amazing talent and friend..I miss his energy and humor..He ended up in nw Arkansas playing drums for The Cate Brothers I think only a handful of people knew he was KCs drummer. He did not want folks to make a fuss..he told me it was a chaotic mess to travel with that many entertainers. Great reaction..and damn girl your hair looks amazing!
What a beautiful combination. I am a 70 gal and loved the entire band. Kc has a soul sound and the band brought it out in him. Talented all around band.
I have a "That's the Way I Like It" t-shirt I bought at a KC concert I attended here in Florida a few years back. It's still hanging in my closet, still clean and still new. LOL This song one of my favorites. KC born and raised in Florida, the "sunshine state". :)))
Seems like only yesterday I watched them perform this and "Get Down Tonight" on American Bandstand. Somewhere packed away I might still have a cassette tape of the performance I taped off tv. Music was so much fun back then.

I love your spirit in this reaction video. KC did indeed pioneer disco music. And, yeah...this song set it off at parties and discos like no other. And, he's a genius in how he put his band together and keeps it together, just as tight, to this day.
Keep going down this rabbit hole! KC and em was amazing back in the day. Had the biggest crush on him too. ✌❤
"Let's call a spade a spade." Unintentionally hilarious.
This is vintage disco. And hearing it again in good quality sound reproduction, I'm realizing how good the musicians were.
One of the best and most definitive grooves of the 70's .. this one takes me wayyyyyyy back to my youth!! Love to see the joy and smile on your faces listening to this one - great reaction!!
Yes KC is our ivory bro awesome reaction love to you both.
One of my favs back then ❤ 💙 💜 💖
My Sisters' ❤FAVORITE Song!
I L0VE It Too! ❤
You guys are so much fun to watch. Love these reactions! Gotta do some more disco (yes, this is disco LOL). Donna Summer would be a good choice.
They both have nice vibes. 👍
My cousin introduced me to KC and the sunshine band with this old skool jam when i was 5 years old. I fell in love with there music.
Some people diss Disco, but it was a fun, funky dance groove.
But people got tired if listening to the same beat, same format for 10 years. People held disco record burning parties
@@eileencastillo6323 well I guess yours is the only opinion that matters then lok
@@eileencastillo6323 disco should've been bullied wasn't the groups and singers bullied into disco by the record producers and cos
@@eileencastillo6323 unless the radio format was not top 40 your music wasn't put in the rotation very often
@@eileencastillo6323 but it worked, didn't it. Even some bigwigs hated it
That is the greatest horn section...EVER. Man, brings back memories!!!!!
Wild Cherry as well
@@waukivorycopse2402 I didn't know Sly & The Family Stone was mixed. Interesting. Thanks.
Love the horn section, back up singers, band, and singer. Totally awesome.
Got me up dancing. Love this song. This is disco. Dancing music.
I was so blessed. I was a kid growing up in Miami and this guy, barely in his 20s, out of Hialeah, puts out hit after hit. His music (funk) helped me through some tough times.
I was born in 1964 and raised in Miami too.
It’s cool. Not many white guys have that much funk. Gotta love KC! Only the BeeGees and Donna Summer were more disco than KC.
It’s one of the best rabbit holes you can go down😊
In the 70’s we would watch Soul Train on Saturday mornings & try to copy the dance moves. I think I had this on vinyl for my record player 😄
KC and the Sunshine Band was a very apt name bc their music always made you feel happy.
Love this band, close my eyes and l'm back in 1975......l am from the UK and this was a big hit back then, the boys in the brass section were sensational.....😃 'l'm your boogie man' next. please....
I grew up in that Era back then it was beautiful no one saw color it was great Music and great friends and so much love..
K.C. was originally from Baltimore, Md. He know lives in Carey, NC and still performs also produces music.
Yes he is our ivory brother. KC and the sunshine band have always been awesome.
Back in the 70's any song KC& the Sunshine band did was blasting at the roller rink great song to skate to!!
Omg, Mel is right. This song rocked the discos. We all got along. Loved each other.❤
And the roller rinks back in the day. Lol
Yes gurrrrrrrl...KC is my husband (in my mind) So Soulful and Talentd. This Band is Timeless and 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great tune, there is so many of us blue eyed soul boys who love our brown brothers and sisters, collective love of the music.xxxx
Makes me smile and move my body… thanks❗️
The 70's were great times for music..Glad you guys are digging it..!!!
What a beautiful combination. I am a 70 gal and loved the entire band. Kc has a soul sound and the band brought it out in him. Talented all around band.
Such a JAM!!!! Yes plz do more KC !!!! 💜🔥🤘
Been a fan of KC and the band for 50 years and finally get to see them play in 3 nights!!! Im so pumped!!!
I have a "That's the Way I Like It" t-shirt I bought at a KC concert I attended here in Florida a few years back. It's still hanging in my closet, still clean and still new. LOL This song one of my favorites. KC born and raised in Florida, the "sunshine state". :)))
I've watched you two beautiful people react to K.C. & the Sunshine Band so many times when I needed joy. You're beautiful outside and in.
Definitely disco!! Born in 1970 myself💜💜
Seems like only yesterday I watched them perform this and "Get Down Tonight" on American Bandstand. Somewhere packed away I might still have a cassette tape of the performance I taped off tv. Music was so much fun back then.
Just watched a few of your reactions. You both have great energy! I grew up with this music and it still gets me going....God Bless you both. D.
Yes the 70's music is unbeatable, such a great era for music, and yes this is disco !
