You're a life saver! We have a chapter quiz around 3 hours from now and I can't remember a thing from our class cause our professor keeps talking about her travels and my textbook contains too much word for me to understand. Now I feel like I've read the whole chapter within 18 minutes 😭 THANK YOU 💕
I wish I were in your class listening to you gracefully explaining difficult topics in the simplest way possible😍This is one of the best lecture I've ever seen..Thanks A lot😇
I've never commented on a UA-cam video before but I had to this time as I've been trying to absorb the information about lipids as I study nutrition and this is the first thing that has really made it sink in. You're a great teacher, your students are very lucky! Thanks for the help
I’m from Spain, and this video is awesome. It has cleared me a lot of concepts! Thank you so much, I wish my teacher would be this understandable and fun at the same time.
I may be a freshman in college but this is helping me SO much. I have an exam in 2 hours on this and this is the best video, it's helping me understand my material so much better.
Oh thank you , you may have helped me get a B in this class. But keep in mind I've studied Neuroscience for years but never in school. So now I have to basically go through the collegiate process. I thank you so much you are amazing, I will definitely be keeping a learning ear towards you.
you just made a 4 hour lecture to less than half an hour more interesting!! i have an exam next week and did not get this, now i have the information explained so easily thank you!!
I am taking a bio class that is not your class, however, this video was super helpful. It made understanding this chapter about chemistry and organic molecules so much easier.
im in college taking a final on this and it is SOOOO helpful watching your videos. my professor makes it all so complicated and now i understand it all, thank you so much!
I can’t thank you enough for this 😩❤️ I’m studying for my final biochemistry and your video has helped me grasp the basics of lipids, and I actually understand what I’m studying and why for example TAGs need glycerol to be synthesized.
brilliant thanks o clear got it all wish i had had a teacher like yourself. so grateful for your time. voice was clear everything fitted and made sense in a great order
I have to thank you for these videos about biochemistry. As i was attending lectures in biochem of my prof. I couldn't understand a word that my prof is saying about our topics. But you somehow explained it in a way that is very understandable. So thank you Maam. 😊
Lipids are not entirely Hydrophobic, they are Amphipathic which is both hydrophobic and hydrophilic, as you have stated that the carboxyl head is hydrophilic and the hydrocarbon tail is hydrophobic. the Phosphates are also hydrophilic charged groups. The video is great
Good explanations ! But we know now that the healthiest fats, and the ones that we are missing because of all the crazy recommandations that came from the insane cholesterol-causative myth, are the saturated ones. Polyunsaturated fats are highly toxic and pro-inflammatory as well as pro-oxydative. Need for omegas 3 and 6 is near 0 as studies have shown.
Great video! 2 thoughts: 1: it's a condensation reaction, not dehydration synthesis. 2: In my opinion, sprinkling in conventional "wisdom" about lipids as related to health is too and should be left out.
thanks a lot mam v.helpful lecture.ther is not undrstand prpperlya qustion why trans fatty acids are not good for health although you explain it but i can
This was a great help for people to use in learning biology, but I note that it was made almost 3 years ago. Since then, much more information has come out about the relative benefits of saturated versus polyunsaturated fats. For instance, there's a book called "The Great Big Fat Surprise". Would you still tell students that saturated fats are bad to eat and polyunsaturated are good?
That's great that you liked the video! Thanks! Yes, I realize that I say some things in the videos that may be misconstrued such as the one you mentioned. But I made this video for 9-10th graders who are just being introduced to these concepts. The video is just a method for me to give them the major content. We later have discussions on more detail and other topics which is where we would discuss that saturated fats are necessary and not always "bad". However, it IS true that unsaturated fats ARE healthier than saturated ones. I will try to check out that book. It sounds interesting. Thanks for your input!
Dear Marlana. I have gone back to college at 50! I just used your video to study. Your video made more sense then anything I learnt in school or from my teacher. If you have any more of your videos, please post or send them to me. Seriously, good job. Well done. So easy to follow, and does not drag on
Dear Madam, your video lecture was totally helpful and understandable..
i wish i could have a chance to attend your classes..
bunch of thanks.

We badly need a professor like you. Thank you for this video! :)
Thank you ma'am 🙌🙌🙌 BSN student studying for an exam in Biochemistry and this video helped me understamd Lipids
The video was outstanding.... All the concepts covered were outstanding........ I wish I could attend your live classes. Too good.
I'm a junior college student, biomed major, this is a great review for my biochem class! Thx
Collin Mackey same here 😂
You're a much better teacher than my college professor, thank you for your help :)
brilliant thanks o clear got it all wish i had had a teacher like yourself. so grateful for your time. voice was clear everything fitted and made sense in a great order

very understandible and helpfull and clear about all the diffrences between definitions of much similar things thanks
Thank youu ma’am! That was very clear and Ive learned more than I do in a 3 hour lecture class.
Having trouble with understanding lipids and this video really helped, thanks a lot!
Your video helped me a lot in my biochemistry exam, thanx.

I was very worried bc i left studying 2 the last minute- like i always do but thanks to you now i understand a lot more. Its very helpful
If we can hit 3000 subscribers will you put up a lipid protein transport video? Smash that like button y'all
I would love for her to teach me about different kinds of bonds in class

Not clear why saturated fats is bad. Is the temperature inside the body same as room temperature?
Your presentation is perfectly fit on what i am going to discuss or to report for tommorrow. Thankyou for the information :)
Thank you, Miss!!!! Your video is really helpful huhuhuhu i wish you could replace my teacher 😂 Thank youuuuu from PH 🇵🇭

Great video! 2 thoughts: 1: it's a condensation reaction, not dehydration synthesis. 2: In my opinion, sprinkling in conventional "wisdom" about lipids as related to health is too and should be left out.
Very nice explanation on lipids. However one remark: Insulin is not a steroid hormone (not lipid-derived), it is a peptide hormone!
Yes, you are correct - I misspoke. It happens....oops! Thanks for your comment!
Love your videos! Very clear instruction.
Thanks you very much Marlana Mucciarone
