Don't take this comment the wrong way no offence meant but what a difference in your videos since you left London they are so educational and a real pleasure to watch they have such a calming effect the sound of the water flowing down the hillside i have not got the words to describe brilliant
“Few people know how to take a walk. The qualifications are endurance, plain clothes, old shoes, an eye for nature, good humor, vast curiosity, good speech, good silence, and nothing too much.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson I believe you’ve mastered the walk. Beautiful.
Lovely walk. When you talked about the steam coming out of the track tunnel vent it made me think of Enid Blytons Famous Five adventures. My mum shared her favorite childhood books with me ❤. She was British x
Because you look at these special places through the eyes of a younger version of yourself, when we see them for the first time in your company, we feel some of the thrill you feel. And we look forward to seeing them again, in all weathers and seasons. The mountains seem to be transforming you, Sean. You are becoming a wise man of the mountains. And an ambassador of the area that you now live in. I can tell that you have invested in the equipment and beautiful music that make your natural skill a real pleasure to watch. And as I listen to the music, I want to cry for the hardship that you have been through to get here. You tell us some poignant stories as well - we could be sad. But there is now an undercurrent of joy and hope running through your videos, like the river runs through the mountains that you walk.
There really is a place for this kind of content and I say that as someone who hasn't watched TV for coming up on 2 decades. It wasn't some virtuous choice I just find that a highly curated (ha ha sorry!) selection of UA-cam channels is easily better than TV with commercials and filler etc. If I want to watch a particular series I just sail the high seas or pay to watch it on my computer, whichever is easiest. I've been subbed to Sean's channel for about a year, came here via John Rogers' channel and have only just started watching every single video since Sean moved back to Wales. Can't even say why but it's real cozy, slow-TV type content and I'm just into that and enjoy the gentle and beautiful experience Sean's channel provides (and am quite invested, now, into the Welsh move and how it will turn out). Am also considering booking a trip to Wales, this most recent video especially makes it look straight out of Tolkien!
How fascinating your recall, events of years ago that come back to you, wonderful stories. And the richness that your memories add to winter mountain beautiful strolls you take us on. Thank you.
Don’t watch the news .since o was a kid (now48) my dad watches BBC 6:00pm news,it’s not a good habit .brainwashing to say the least .tvs are same as microwaves they belong at the recycling centre!
Hi Sean.....Soooo loving your beautiful videos. I used to walk and hike up until I was 75 when my mobility issues began to make it impossible. { I put up a good fight though } Im 80 now and struggle to walk. Sincerely, you and your videos have brightened my life so much. I visited Wales some years ago as I've told you and I left part of my heart there. It is also the birth place of my maternal grandfather. Please, keep on keeping on. The wealth of knowledge you have about your beautiful Welsh home is incredible. I re-watch some of my favourites over and over again. Thank you for you. Fondly, Dorothy.
Aw I know that feeling Dorothy!! I'm in my 50's & need knee replacements, but I'm too young apparently 😄 You did well though, but still frustrating for you when you can't get out like you used to. The way that Sean does these videos with his knowledge of the area & his calming voice brings so many people much joy from the comments I've read. I don't think he realises just how much joy it brings to many living our lives vicariously through his meanderings. Many people can go for walks up a mountain & talk about it, but not many can do it in the way that he does & come across the way he does. He has a natural calming way about him & see's things many don't & it's a rare talent nowadays. If I was you I'd have a cup of tea, sit back & enjoy the journey he takes us on. Look after yourself.
Spent many weeks every year with relatives in the The Rhondda area.. Many happy memories. You're a wonderfully skilled story teller, lots of hard work for your distance and ariel shots also! I was a bit nervous for your safety there once or twice but you know what you're doing.. Would not like to be up there alone at night, easily get lost I imagine? .. Yes, some boots, a staff.. Its ancient and beautiful !Thank you Sean, very much appreciated.
Thank you Sean, here i am again 4am, an enjoying a lovely virtual stroll through the Woods, glorious beautiful mountain views an Waterfalls.all creating a feeling of the peace of Nature.Thank you Sean.Blessings sent for you! Sonja
Sean, I absolutely delight in these videos. At the moment I am confined to barracks so my walks with you are my way of enjoying the Welsh countryside whilst sitting in my armchair. I love the way you chat along to us and share your memories and points of interest. And I agree with you 100% about memorials. I can understand that it possibly brings comfort to those who have lost a loved one and you can’t begrudge anyone that, but I have left instructions for my ashes to be scattered in the Garden of Rembrandt and, hopefully my ‘memorial’ will be placed in the hearts of my family. Thank you and Hwyl fair.
How fulfilling to be in the right place for you to live your life and be happy. Ive only recently found you and been watching your videos. Thank you for your videos they make me feel quite calm. All the best to you 😊
often re-watch and listen to many your videos because they are so informative and excellently done - loving all the old ones on your 2nd channel too - best wishes from far west Cornwall
Sean thanks for the link to this amazing video, all the natural beauty on your doorstep is amazing. The drone footage and music was spot on Hope you get chance to do some more walk and talks soon .
I live in the Scottish Borders and the Waverley Line from Edinburgh to Carlisle (connecting the Borders to Edinburgh) was closed in 1969 because of the Beeching report. It was reopened as the Borders Railway (only partly from Edinburgh to Tweedbank) in 2015 at a cost of £353 million!
Such a wonderful walk and your narrative is amazing. The way you include your childhood memories, especially with your cousin, is so natural. The fairy pools were beautiful. Thank you again.

Lovely vid, Sean. A very handy implement to get (if you haven't got one as you're a gardener) is a Swiss Army Knife. Good quality tool in the right hands and handy for cutting things from the path or doing a little whittling 🗡 Your very own tiny Excalibur 😆😅🤣
What a delightful video! You have rediscovered a little slice of Heaven! It's incredibly sweet to hear your memories of the times with your cousin/friend. Thanks for sharing your life.💓
This is the 1st video I watched of you & still my favourite. So relaxing. I know your busy with your Homestead but it would be lovely if you revisited to see what this walk looks like in each season. Take care Sean
What a lovely hike, Sean. And so nice that you could still remember so many places in the forest that you had visited many years ago. The landscape in Wales is beautiful. Really loving your return to Wales, I'm part Welsh myself so always feels like home when I'm in the valleys, breakfast and a cup of tea at the top of the mountain at sunrise sounds like a great idea
Where you’re walking looks a lot like the trails in the Olympic Mts. where I live in Washington state. Little streams of water coming out of the hills.
Thank you very much for this video. The forest there is so beautiful and ancient I feel as if you will come across King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. There seems to be a quality to the silence of the woods. The city I live in is very far from the beauty of nature and it is not as glorious as your beautiful country of Wales.
You’re blessed to have that countryside on your doorstep Sean 😊, I bet London seems a lifetime away when your up on the mountains….. soon be a distant memory as you’re making new ones. You certainly made the right decision to move…… it’s clear to see your mood has lifted and you’ve got a new focus…… good on yer !
I was just thinking I could use one of your chatty walks. Looks like the universe was listening 😊So serene. Beautiful scenery. Thank you for sharing your journey.
I like hiking myself very much. I live in the middle in the Alps and there is plenty of possibilities to left your daily life behind. I am waiting for the spring and summer time in your area, must be really nice then.
Beautiful I was born in the valleys thank you so much for showing us the beautiful scenery I can no longer walk like I used to. My 😃dad used to work in the Rhonda
I feel in my heart your soul is saying I’m home! Please keep showing your walks they are so relaxing! Winter time the views are so much better without the leaves on the trees. Summer will be lovely too
So enjoying your walks and the music, just as good as your allotment videos. You are a star. Moving to Wales was the best decision. Lovely to see you so happy.😘
Sean I’m a relatively new subscriber and enjoy your channel so much. Your sense of humor and knowledge is lovely and gives me a good chuckle. What a wonderful walk, the falls today were so relaxing. Loved the heron story. Sometimes a film is not necessary but the memories last a lifetime. Thank you for sharing this story. You are a wise man. The trees around fairy falls are wonderful and gnarly with moss along the way the a person would see a fairy or two 😊. You have a beautiful place to walk. The peace must be wonderful and the water is soothing. Thank you for sharing your walk. 💫
That was a wonderful walk Sean, thank you for taking us with you. I remember my gran talking about picking wimberries (windberries) and never knew what they were. Will look forward to seeing them if you pick some in the autumn. No wonder my mum hated moving to Surrey when she was a small girl, she missed Rhondda so much and I loved all the stories she told me about drinking water on the mountain and walking to her Grannie's in the next valley.
What a stunning video. I am trying to recover from a broken hip that is complicated by a 20 year old ACL. ( i’m not even that old, so please be careful walking.) It makes me long to just be able to go for a walk in nature. Thanks for sharing your adventure. I really enjoy the videos you make.
Thank you Sean for a lovely video, I am here in Australia where it is evening and the weather has been hot and humid and to go on this lovely walk in the cool has been very enjoyable, your videos are delightful and I love seeing the rivers, mountains and valleys and I love your enthusiasm and knowledge, it is so peaceful and relaxing, I look forward to each video, Carol
It's great to go down memory lane and visit the places you were so happy and carefree in your youth. I've also been doing a bit of that recently but it was in a city and somewhere I could never go back to, I like the peace and quiet too much. Your woodland walks are just beautiful Sean
What a glorious walk on the mountain with you. So much history to learn and you make it very easy to understand as the mind's eye pictures that by-gone era. Thank you for taking us along with you.
Love listening to you Sean. You are so knowledgeable. You would make a very good tour guide. Thank you for doing the videos, looking forward to the next one.
Just to say I have just thoroughly enjoyed the last hour watching this video of your walk in the mountains. Loved everything about it the views, streams, waterfalls and the woodland areas, your narrative and the accompanying music. Would love to have that on my doorstep. I have watched the odd video of yours when you lived in London but never subscribed, but since you have moved back to Wales have watched all your videos and now subscribed. If I lived near the mountains I would buy myself a small portable water filter as used by campers, so that I could enjoy the water from the streams to help keep me hydrated during the walks especially when the warmer weather comes.
There was a farm on Anglesey near Cemaes Bay that had ostriches. I remember the first time I saw them😯 I don't know if they still have them as I've not been for a good few years now. I do know that the meat does taste good though & is very lean & good for you. It would have been funny watching them running & chasing each other around the field on the mountain there though😂 Stick with the sheep & horses & the beautiful views
Hello, Sean. These walks are quite enjoyable to watch With all those fairy pools, streams, and waterfalls scattered throughout. I also like your historical details, particularly the one about the tunnel.
I just discovered your channel a few weeks ago and have greatly enjoyed the videos I've seen! Your short little meandering around the mountain Sunday seemed like a very long hike to me! It was beautiful but I'm so out of shape I couldn't have done it! I live in the Ouachita (Wash-e-ta) mountains of western Arkansas, USA . I love to take my camera out and get photographs of nature but haven't done too much walking. We don't have the trails you have..you're lucky. But I do have the same peace and quiet..it IS wonderful! Keep filming..I love what you're doing.
beautiful scenery there Sean. You really show the beauty of Wales. Hope one day I visit that part of Wales because I like the peace and quiet environment with such a scenery.
I lived abroad for the better part of 15 years, and one of the main reasons I came back is that I missed the Welsh countryside. I love your videos, Sean. Great job!
Being a Geordie with the Cheviot hills on my doorstep, I never thought of the Rhonda valleys as anything but industrial coal, but your videos have shown it to be a beautiful area. Thank you
This wood looks lovely for spotting wild mushroom during the autumn, would love to see close up of them. That stream is really beautiful. Very relaxing and pleasing, even the stone stair case is pleasant. I am watching the wild ferns against the bank I love wild vegetation and the roots forming part of the steps. Those trees seems to have very shallow roots and I think they are oak. Lovely walk great video Sean
Sean, I have followed your videos for the last two years. Many times I have been saddened by your allotment work in London. However I can see your life is getting back on track. Fantastic just keep going doing the same thing. Well done Sean.
Lovely walking with you just now Sean. Im reminded of the hills walked around Corris with good friends some years ago now. ❤️🙂 Im so pleased i found you on here and happy to see you enjoying yourself.
I am fascinated how you got your aerial footage, you don’t appear to have a control in your hand in some shots. I love mountain walking and like yourself I did a lot of it in my childhood and sometimes in old age around the mountains of Abergavenny, but never conquered my fear of snakes. Clydach Gorge in Gwent also has a waterfall that’s called Fairy Glen, it’s reputed that’s where Shakespeare got the idea for Twelfth Knight.
Lovely video your so very lucky to live so close to nature enjoy the moments thank you sean.good video 🎉🎉🎉
Don't take this comment the wrong way no offence meant but what a difference in your videos since you left London they are so educational and a real pleasure to watch they have such a calming effect the sound of the water flowing down the hillside i have not got the words to describe brilliant
Lots more interesting things to film here than just the allotment.

The BBC would be hard put to compete with you. Enjoyed your stroll and the narrative was natural and relaxed. Thank you.
Someone tell BBC Wales 😉
Yes, a 6:26 nd the theme tune is very "last of the summer wine!"
@@seanjamescameron No!!!!! St*ff the BBC!
So agree - Sean's an excellent commentator on walks.

Sean, you are a natural storyteller, the local history is fascinating , keep them coming ❤️
How fascinating your recall, events of years ago that come back to you, wonderful stories. And the richness that your memories add to winter mountain beautiful strolls you take us on. Thank you.
We need your chatty walks as an antidote to all the depressing news on TV. You should have a 15 minute slot every day after the 6.00pm news!

So nice to see the weight off your shoulders, a different man, relaxed and happy. Lovely stroll today.
Welsh accent getting stronger every episode. ✅

I recommend walking poles for hiking. With a bum knee, they will be a game-changer for you, especially on downhills.

Words to the piano piece I played in 1960 at the Southampton Music Festival
A MOUNTAIN STREAM
From mountain steep
With dart and leap
The waters hurry
And haste and scurry
All in and out
And round about
And now in cateract plunging
Then smooth and slow
They move for a space
Then quicken their pace
And headlong go:
From mountain steep
With dart and leap
The waters flow
To the valley below
Dear Diane, how lovely! Could I find a copy of this to use just as a poem please?
I work with young people.

I enjoyed your walk to the waterfalls. Love the sounds of the birds and the water. What a lovely thing to do, early morning so peaceful.
If I lived around there I would be taking every opportunity I could to go wild camping in those woods. They look spectacular!

Amazing little place and thank you for sharing it with us.
Hello, Sean. These walks are quite enjoyable to watch With all those fairy pools, streams, and waterfalls scattered throughout. I also like your historical details, particularly the one about the tunnel.
Absolutely loved this video Sean. Thank you for sharing 💚
💚💙
beautiful scenery there Sean. You really show the beauty of Wales. Hope one day I visit that part of Wales because I like the peace and quiet environment with such a scenery.
Thanks for the walk to the Fairy Pools.
Very Beautiful and serine.
I love the moss with the water trickling down through it.
Thanks for sharing . Beautiful scenery and informative too, very pleasing to watch you. Keep up the good work
I lived abroad for the better part of 15 years, and one of the main reasons I came back is that I missed the Welsh countryside. I love your videos, Sean. Great job!
New to your channel. Love your walks in the mountains. You have everything, woodland, waterfalls, and views! You are living the best life!!
Being a Geordie with the Cheviot hills on my doorstep, I never thought of the Rhonda valleys as anything but industrial coal, but your videos have shown it to be a beautiful area. Thank you
Great video once again look forward to seeing more ❤
This wood looks lovely for spotting wild mushroom during the autumn, would love to see close up of them.
Really enjoyed this, thank you Sean x
Sean, I have followed your videos for the last two years. Many times I have been saddened by your allotment work in London. However I can see your life is getting back on track. Fantastic just keep going doing the same thing. Well done Sean.
Thank you for taking us along on your lovely walk. Great video once again Sean.
Yet another totally stunning video. You now live in such a beautiful place. Thanks.
DJI drone, I set everything up then lock the device then put it back into the bag.
@@seanjamescameron ….that’s brilliant! It really broadens the views and adds that element of professionalism.
