Your videos are such fun to watch and have really given me a desire to ditch the Caravan, get a CamperVan and explore our fantastic country. The idea of not knowing where the next day and night will take you, is a great way to discover ‘gems’ that might otherwise remain hidden, only known to the locals! Huge thumbs up to Emma for taking the plunge. We could feel that temperature through the screen! That thumbnail really captured the moment!👍🏻❤️👍🏻❤️👍🏻
emma that was fun in the fairy pool!! when me and my hubby went abroad for the first time we skinny dipped in the pool and got caught we got into trouble with the police ....we can laugh now...it was fun and i'd do it again!!!
Alex! Next time, get your hairy erse in that water!! Loved the series guys & I was lucky enough to see one of those flying barn doors (sea eagle) when I was in Skye many moons ago.
@@IanTed It's not where you steal it from it's where you take it, I think Billy has a different audience than Wainright (I was never a fan of his comedy .....).....lol
I was expecting to see frozen nips , but I guess it was super cold , so instead we got major shrinkage. lol This was a great series - such troopers slogging thru the Scottish Sunshine.
My son and his mates went swimming in the Fairy Pools at midnight this summer. Why midnight? Because the crowds weren’t there. So beautiful but so busy during a staycation summer. Great video btw
It’s just a sausage made with beef and a shit tonne of salt and it always needs red or brown sauce… not going to lie it’s the breakfast for tea kinda food lol or a cold hangover day
I am new to your clogs and think they are great. Lovely to hear your first impressions of travelling around Scotland which very mich reflect our thoughts. So many more places to go. Can I suggest Ardnamurchan peninsula and hiring a small motor boat from Laga bay!
FANTASTIC end to a great series in Scotland! From Emma's dip is the freezing water to Alex and his sausage munching, and all of the beautiful scenery in between, you guys are the best! Thanks for taking us your journey. - Coreen
That's the Northern Lights! Speaking from Alaska, having seen them every year. If you'd only had a clear sky, you could've really seen them. (Ours here are usually green, farther north they are multi-colored.)
The fairy pools have been ruined by over tourism, the paths have become over used eroded super highway compared to the small tracks of the past, There never used to be a car park even , I think £20 should be charged to reduce the pressure on the site. PS brave girl to go in that water brrrr!
Your a brave lassie Emma going into a cold cold pool enjoyed another episode watching the two of you on your travels I’m happy that despite the weather you are still smiling your happiness is infectious ❤️
And those were for sure the northern lights. Im so glad you saw them. We get them here in Minnesota in this kind of event also. Although I could not get out of the city area to see them this time.
Full respect Emma for braving that icy water. Great video guys and a fantastic channel. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Very envious that you spotted a sea eagle 🦅 what a rare sight.
Alex- You have to try square or Lorne sausage in a fresh bread roll with HP sauce and a cold can of Irn Bru during a hangover. Instant cure👍🏴 Emma- you are a natural for presenting programmes like this. 😊👍 You two make great videos together. Keep them coming.😊
I went to fairy pools early, was just me my dog and couple of other people it was amazing with no one around. But I wasn’t brave enough to get in the water. So well done to you. Bet it was bloody freezing. Hope ya enjoyed it.
A heads up while in Scotland, guys! Our Drink Driving laws are much more tighter than in England and Wales. Probably a single measure of Whisky could tip you over the limit up here. Love your vids and don’t want you guys getting into trouble!
Really Really loved your Scotland Vlogs!! You two have a wonderful manner about you with such warm expressive personalities. Waiting for delivery of our first van next March, it’s a Fiat Ducato with a pop top, you really do make van life adventures look like such dreamy freedom. Me and the Mrs can’t wait to get out there and explore with our little Yorkshire terrier, Daisy. I love all the lovely wild camping spots you find. Keep up the fantastic work guys!! xxx
It's easy to say that the highlight of the video was Emma taking a dip or again the lovely scenery 🤩 To me it was Alex gushing over the Sea Eagle. Plus he got to have sausage and some Scotch. About the price... think of this way... it's been aging since before you were born 🤷♂️
I just did a couple of weeks on Skye, Lewis and Harris. Absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to go again. Maybe next time l’ll brave the icy waters of the Fairy Pools as well. 🥶🏴
Such a beautiful and magical place. Definitely going to the bucket list. So proud of you Emma, that water had to be freezing, but I bet you felt great afterwards. Thank you for taking us along. Be safe!🤗😘🌼🇻🇪
I'm a little jealous of you square sausage,( man that sounds strange) it looked like what we call slice. Our Scottish butcher retired and the new one doesn't carry it. Nothing beats a breakfast of eggs, slice and black pudding. My search for slice continues.
Just found you guys on UA-cam, were you at the Fairy Pools on the 21st October? I was taking photographs and I'm pretty sure I walked past you (or another young lady) stripping off to go in the water. I had torrential rain most of the time I was there as well..
Been a great series guys - loved it. Totally agree with your thoughts on the Fairy Pools - just felt underwhelmed. For your square sausage, try the Green Welly Stop for a breakfast fit for Kings. Done Skye a few times and loved it. Tried Mull and it was stunning but different. Maybe because it takes a bit more of an effort to get there but it has a different vibe. Spotted Otters from the road side, basking sharks ((Sea Life Surveys) and even spotted sea eagles whilst on horse back on the beach (bucket list moment). Just wanted to add the island in the cloud sequence is absolutely stunning - it messes with your head in such a good way. Brilliant. Currently in the camper at Brotherswater in the Lakes. A few days holiday to take so thought why not visit one of our favourites (been allowed out on my own for a few days -she’s not happy!) Weather’s Shyte but what the hell. Love the channel and your approach to van travel. One of the best out there. Well done, Regards Andrew
You have too be careful jumping in to water that flows fast through gully’s..it can drag you down into a whirlpool, and you cannot escape. In one word..,don’t.
I was there 2 months before you! Did a 10 day trip.. half on Skye, half in Lochinver conquering Suilven. I had incredible sunny weather for the whole trip! All the places, you visited.. the coral beach, The Storr, Portree, The Quiraing… swum in the Fairy Pools.. even know that layby close to Dunvegan castle! One of the best trips of my life.. you have to go again in good weather!
Drinknig Whisky in the van is great.. Drinking whisky out and about at pubs, this is bad.. Loved the shoulder action :-P I might get my ass upto Scotland next year.. ROAD TRIP ?
If you're a cheapskate like me there's a free car park about a 10-15 min walk up the hill from the Fairy Pools. Great little mini-series from Skye, what an incredible place!
Now you need to plan a lowland trip!! I recommend Island of Mull, Stirling Castle, the island Inchcailloch in Loch Lomond (GORGEOUS), and my favorite... the hiking trails in Dollar Glen around Castle Campbell.
PLEASE NOTE This motorhome will be going up for hire at some point as we are considering purchasing another, I as the soul owner may consider discounts for people who are subscribed to this channel. keep a watch out for a full video tour of this motorhome. D & B
Shame about your weather. I was at the Fairy Pools in July and a few hundred yards away is a free campervan park up (pity you didn't spot it) .It's annoying having to pay a fiver at the public carpark 😡
I live on Skye and a few decades ago these places now heavily promoted weren't. A girl friend and I went skinny dipping near where Emma went in and were very surprised indeed when some people walked past - unheard of!. I now go to the likes of The Fairy Pools or The Storr to see the variety of people rather than the scenery. Most of the island is empty and unpromoted and on most walks that we go we see no-one. PS, on a sunny day in Summer the water in these pools becomes lukewarm; it's been running over bare rock for over half a mile and the rock absorbs heat and transfers it to the water.
Get charcoal sack packs on Amazon and put them around the van. They will absorb all the moisture. Also, square sausages in New Jersey and Philadelphia are called Scrapple. Hi from Texas!
New and now subscribed! Really enjoy your vlog. And yes, that was a tiny bit of the northern lights. We’ve spend a good deal of time in the northern part of the U.S. state of Wisconsin and have seen the lights many times. Typically they are of that greenish hue in our area. Stay safe and warm!
'Sausage muncher'...quote of the series. Perhaps you can teach Emma the 'hide the sausage' game? Doesn't look like you went all the way to the top pool. By far the best of the lot, but most tourists give up after the couple of bigger falls
I've loved watching this series and I'm looking forward to seeing what you both get up to next. Congratulations on taking a dip in the icy waters Emma and Alex it did look like you were able to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights
Loved your video guys HEADS UP the windows are misting up as the humidity in the van is high after drying out the clothes you need to have vents open to let the moisture out. or use moisture traps, keep humidity below 55% and it should be a lot better, stay safe see you on your next adventure, Michael & Kim uk xx keep up the great videos love the filming 👍
It has been an amazing series & you guy’s have really excelled. Certainly my favourite travel Vloggers with your wit, charm and sensational photography. Well done Emma & Alex 👏👏👏👏
Oban - Barra - Uist - Harris - Lewis - Ullapool - Loch Ness. Great route, best in the month of May. Good weather and very quiet at that time of year. Thanks for the vids from my homeland.
I fell for Skye watching the channel Photography Online where they take us to the most remote areas that are overlooked by tourists. They run photography courses and expeditions. Your enthusiasm for the island confirms the beauty.
Highlights for me were Alex "I'm a sausage muncher" (how old am I that I lol'd at that??) and Emma shooting out of that pool faster than a submarine-launched cruise missile! A shame this series had to end, I thoroughly enjoyed you enjoying it and can't wait until your next adventure.
So glad I found you two in my recommended box cause UA-cam KNEW I was gonna love this channel! Keep up the great work guys! Looking forward to the next adventures!
Hi guys Thanks for sharing your Scotland Road trip I take my hat off to Emma for going into the fairy pools when I was there I wanted to do the same but the water was freezing and I couldn’t get myself to do it so well done Emma Have a safe trip home and I look forward to seeing your next adventure Cheers Colin 👍
Skip the Fairy Pools and continue down Glen Brittle - when you reach the 'phone box and the houses head up the track to your left and visit Eas Mor - the highest falls on the island. The track seems to be nothing much but then the falls appear, dropping in a single cascade into a ravine.
Your videos are such fun to watch and have really given me a desire to ditch the Caravan, get a CamperVan and explore our fantastic country. Loved your series on Scotland so so so beautiful that scenery. Def would love to see the Shetland Islands.

That was a fun series - Thank You!!!
Loved the series. Thanks. Early Sunday morning we will set off for Ullapool/Assynt for a week....
Can't wait.
Thank you for showing magic Scotland and swimmingpool wit icecubes
Alex! Next time, get your hairy erse in that water!! Loved the series guys & I was lucky enough to see one of those flying barn doors (sea eagle) when I was in Skye many moons ago.
“there’s no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong clothes”, Billy Connolly
Or few clothes in Emma’s case 😂
I strongly disagree. Or never found the right clothes 😒
Was actually Wainwright, Billy pinched it😜
@@IanTed It's not where you steal it from it's where you take it, I think Billy has a different audience than Wainright (I was never a fan of his comedy .....).....lol
Yes!!!!
Thanks for the mammaries Emma
Next time you do a cold dip, get out a moment and then go back in the water it will not feel as cold. Be safe.
Good to know! Thanks 🙏
the green tint is indeed the Northern Lights
Holy shit Emma is da boss, she actually took a dip in that freezing cold water damn. 🙌🔥
I was expecting to see frozen nips , but I guess it was super cold , so instead we got major shrinkage. lol This was a great series - such troopers slogging thru the Scottish Sunshine.

Emma getting her kit off always creates more views, not that I'm complaining.
Great series mighty travel beans 👍🙂 Where to next for the beans?
I am laughing at freezing cold Emma 🥶🤣

Loved the series! ☺️

you two look great for living in the wild

Emma - massive respect for getting in that freezing water! Good on you. Really cool

New to travel beans but love it!

If youre getting so wet it must be the equipment you use. Get some better clothing.Could tell you which one but that would be promoting. Good luck

Emma is a legend, looked bloody freezing👏👏
Having done the NC500 myself it was nice to relive some of the beautiful scenery. Thank you both for an engaging series of videos.
Definitely crazy going into the fairy pool!

No joke, apply aftershave inside the windshield. Buff until clear. Don't touch with fingers afterwards.
Emma you are the bomb!! We all need to push ourselves into those experiences that call to us. You go girl!
You're been slow to discover the delights of Scotland.
Highly recommend the Hebrides so many islands for you to explore with beautiful beaches.
