Mini cooper EV is a nice little car and fun to drive. Yes, its range is not long but still can cover a few days for daily city commute. Not as bad as what was stated in this video
The Mini Cooper EV is definitely a fun little car for city driving, and you're right-the range is fine for daily commutes. It all comes down to personal needs, though. If someone’s just zipping around town, it’s a great option. What do you like most about it?
EV's arent the future, they're the now. Car companies will be getting away from this nonsense soon. Imagine seeling a car that keeps you chained inside of the city, seems planned that way. They definitely can increase range, but do they want to?
EVs are definitely dominating the present market, but the concerns about range and infrastructure are valid. While range improvements have been made (with some EVs now exceeding 400+ miles on a single charge), there’s always speculation about whether companies are holding back or if it's just a matter of battery tech catching up. That said, it’s also worth noting that charging networks are expanding rapidly, and newer models are coming with faster charging capabilities. It might feel limiting for now, but as technology and infrastructure evolve, EVs could become just as versatile as gas-powered cars.
@AutoFuse001 You sound optimistic, we shall see. Recycling them is a nightmare we'ven't yet tackled well yet. We shall see in the coming years. I won't be buying any, anytime soon. Gas is too reliable and the cost of coal powered electricity keeps going up. Here in Canada, Nova Scotia precisely, our power companies are privately owned with a 10% increase mandate every year for the next 5 years. Unaffordable for myself and many others. Great video! Good chat.
Apart from Tesla all the American EV's (especially batteries) are years out of date. I travel to the US and China a lot, and the the Chinese built Teslas are noticeably better built than Teslas built in the USA.
It’s crazy how fast China has advanced in EV tech, especially in battery innovation. Tesla’s Shanghai factory does have a reputation for top-notch quality compared to the U.S. plants. Do you think American EV manufacturers can catch up, or are they falling too far behind?
Still a work in progress the EV mandate is 10 years too soon with the pace of technological development anything you buy will be way off the pace in 5 years time and worth a fraction of the purchase price especially as most are £6-10k too expensive to start with.
The EV mandate does feel like it’s moving faster than the tech can keep up, especially with how quickly things are evolving. The steep prices and rapid depreciation definitely make it a tough call for buyers right now.
