- Festive Overture by Dimitri Shostakovich for trombone choir, performed by trombonists from The US Army Band.
This choir is comprised of trombonists currently in The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own”.
Musicians (in order of left to right appearing) - Kyle Price, Austin Westjohn, Michael Burner, Ethan Scholl, Andrew Dougherty

Terrific arrangement, and a great performance!
I'm very fond of this piece because I played it in high school band (arrangement in Bb) and in a community orchestra (original in A). The soaring solo about 2:20 is played by cello in the original, and trumpet in the band arrangement. It's a lot more fun to hear on trumpet. And I look forward to playing it on trombone, in my trombone ensemble.
