Nice work! If you don't have it yet, you could make an ultra short video of just panning around the army and give a short update.
It would go well with some headcannon lore I meshed together from the Scattered Legion and the Sons of Medusa, both thriving without Imperium support with a huge focus on tech and on scavenging.

Love the army, and its an absolute inspiration for my army here in the USA.
    Constructive Criticism:
I can see the value in using a simple color scheme, (Green, Gunmetal, and Rust) however, I suggest either taking away a little of the green (Especially on the Chaos-thingy imo) or adding a little variation in the green. Mayhaps a red or a black. Also, maybe adding another color to those wheels. I hope this isn't so much of a bother to you, because I do very much enjoy this army, and this series of videos!!

This army is tops Kirioth. The paint scheme you went with, and the cobbled together look of your army makes me see them as a sort of Legion of the Damned style force. As if pieces of Astartes wargear from battlefields across the galaxy, were possessed by the warp echoes of their former occupants, and powered by their half-dead machine spirits. I myself am a fun and fluff player over competitive, so this army to me is bloody glorious. Keep up the great content, and can't wait for more Dreads.

This scheme actually works nicely and some fun conversions

  • @teambellavsteamalice
    @teambellavsteamalice 2 роки тому

Anyone looking for ideas to do a lot of conversions, I looked up and combined some lore (while running a 40k rpg campaign called Dark Heresy 2).
The lore below leads to a combination of scavengers and master artisans with an extreme tech focus, a mix of old, new and even experimental or reinvented archeotech.
The main focus is the Scattered Legion, the survivors of Istvan V, remaining independent of the Imperium ... even 10k years later. Already in the lore they survived alone, hunting chaos and scavenging what they can. Some eventually returned to their chapter, but not all did...
I imagined a the Raven Guard, Salamander and Iron Hands primarchs not minding some force defending the fringes of the Imperium without bureaucracy and without meddling from the upcoming ecclessiarchy.
Another surprising feat are the Sons of Medusa, roughly a third of the Iron Hands as the time of the Moirae Schism, splitting off from their parent chapter and surviving without support _even being hunted!_ for many centuries! Not only that, they managed to return and be accepted back into the official Imperium (I think 900 years later?).
The third is the Dark Founding, a mysterious part of the Inquisition founded only two chapters, the Exorcists and the Death Specters, a Raven Guard successor chapter.
In my head cannon, these are all linked and shrouded in mystery by a small faction within the Inquisition that opposes the extreme fanatics of the ecclessiarchy and supports a mix of philosophies based on Imperial Thruth, Machine Cult (RG Kiavarh variation, with links to Stygies V and Phobos) and the Salamander Prometheus cult (and caring for humans). The Moirae idea of a trio of aspects of the Emperor (Science/Tech, Psychic and Holy visionair) fits perfectly.
A split off group, The Green Library, is an alliance of saved fringe forgeworlds, Salamanders, Sons of Medusa with the Dark Angels to hunt, study and "herd" Ork waaghs. The main strategies include breaking apart waagh forces before they grow to big and to lure and steer them towards chaos corrupted worlds and Ork infested worlds might be easier to cleanse than chaos ones. It's a made up predecessor of the Death Watch and allows some cooperation between the official chapters and the Scattered Legion who mask and operate as Deathwatch armies already.

@@Kirioth Nice! I personally liked the madness a techmarine on a bike brings. You can get rapidfire 4 between the twin bolter and a storm bolter, plus T5 and an extra wound because of the bike! I love the idea, I love the work you've put into converting them and coming up with your own idea for an army. However I HATE the painting, and I'm a bit saddened to see it like that. Feels very rushed and the color scheme just doesn't do the models any justice at all. It saddens me because I see you've put so much love and dedication in the first half of the project and then just kind of let it go in the second half. Imo It would have been better if you gave the impression of old paint on their armour that was worn off and had incurred battle/repair damage. You could even have made it an amalgamation of different chapters coming together to get a more ragtag feel.I hope you put some more time in the painting aspect in the future. With that being said, I still love that you made it your own and good job for that!

I'm curious, are there official rules for what counts as a usable model in tabletop, or does it very from match to match? Like for official rules, only official licensed models? My question is based if there were home-made/printed things, are they ever usable, or does it really depend on the rules of the match/shop?

You could really help your army, by painting all the base edges black, as well as drybrushing a bit of a brighter colour on the bases.

Gauss is spelled in the most german way you can manage, because the weapon was thought of by a german mathematician of the name Gauß (Gauss).
I really like that insane Dreadnought army you made there, i love anything Mecha, and the Imperial Walkers are all great designs IMO.
Missiles DO HAVE recoil, just significantly less than a cannon. They launch with a lot of power, which shakes the entire launcher, and while not exactly straight back, it still IS recoil.

So I added three invictors to my army. Through command rerolling my invictors explosions one natural one reroll and the death of all three of the invictor units and one jump pack guy. they were able to wipe out the other army to 4 individuals before the rest of my army could make it across the board. One and a half rounds. That is a lotopower.

“Gatling Face” is also incredible. Very Battlefield 2142 (which already feels very 40k with their pseudo-Warhound Titans).
