Sorry this guy is nothing to do with “kase - ha” shotokan karate . If you contact Kase-he shotokan karate academy on their website you’ll find they have never heard of him . He’s never sat a grading under anyone in “kase- ha” nor attended any of the bi-annual gasshaku’s . Only other one he can train under in this country is “vebo” and he’s no longer in the kase-ha academy, thank god. There are a lot of people out there who jumped on the bandwagon and associated themselves with Sensei Kase after his death in 2004 but there is only one true original Kase Ha Shotokan Ryu and that was set up by Sensei Kase personally. The stance shown in all these videos is fudo dachi , a stance sensei kase introduced us to in the 90’s cos the original “academy “ was for 3rd dan and above and sensei kase stated” as we get older we will lose the body dynamics through natural aging and so introduced fudo as a means of finding how to produce power in your techniques without relying on the torque from hip rotation. Sadly as time went on it became the “go to” stance following sensei kase’s demise and now they teach karate without natural hip rotation a major flaw in the system. Learn how to produce power through kime ,hip rotation and body movement first then look at other ideas otherwise your karate becomes wooden and stiff arsed as shown in these videos. Looks nice to the untrained eye but is so limited in its application. Use this outside in the street you’ll get wiped out pretty quickly.
Thank you for your comment 🙏 I am aware of the academy, but I do not claim to be graded by them, I train with multiple people who have been in the academy, and train with people who have been graded by a top 'kase' student. I have trained under many 'kase' students, and I am in contact with many 'kase' students as well to further understand the style. You're right, I have jumped onto the 'kase' bandwagon, as I really enjoy the journey and the views and concepts of it. Therefore, I'm trying to study it in detail. Therefore, videos, UA-cam, dvds, senseis, anything to do with 'kase' I try finding and studying 😊⛩️ But you have your feelings, and that's fine then, Maybe one day we can train together, and you can show me your understanding of it 😊🙏
@mishi1967 regarding the street comment, unfortunately I have been in an altercation, thankfully I came out on top, but you can never fully prepare for the "street" so that's a bit of a silly statement but none the less, thank you for taking time to comment and leave your thoughts 😊⛩️
Sorry, but I ll have to get involved. It does not mean that if you are not a member of KSKA or any other organisation that you can not respect the work of Sensei Kase or train it or even promote it. I see that as a positive thing and I wonder that there are not even more people promoting Kase Ha style considering that he has so many followers. I am doing my best through club activities And also using UA-cam as a platform to promote karate. I totally support this guy in his efforts and invite him and you to became members of KSKA if you like. I am saying this because I am a member but because of certain realistic opsticls I cannot visit as much as I would like KSKA official courses but it does not mean that I am less member than the others. You are right about Fudodachi and today's instructor working only on high level idea of karate without using step by step intro system where you learn basics. And yes ,many looks stiff and wooden but the question is ,do you have a link or video of someone other than Kase showing the higher level of karate. Sensei Kase for me at least was Steve Jobs or Elon Musk of modern karate, way ahead of the others but he promotied positive energy and spirit and karate reality not formality,so...I was attracted to words him because he was open and accepted differences .....but this is only my opinion.....there are many instructors I can recommend like Sensei Dirk,Sensei Petrella,Sensei Delgado and in UK also number of people...doing courses arroung Europe ..to conclude I support Hayden and guys in their effort to promote what they love on a permanent level they are now. Hopefully this level will rise. Hope this helps in order to connect more people arround same idea, and to be constructive I recommend Hayden to use more makiwara work which will help making techniques sharp and precise. All of that can be found on my chanell😊 All the best to all of you and Oss!
@SENSEINENAD1978 Thank you for your support and kind words, I'll look into the makiwara and see what I can put together 😊🥋 Definitely agree. There's lots of great karate ka training with the Kase Ha concepts. Let's not be dismissive but supportive 😊🥋
