It's lovely seeing what you to get up to, there's many people that would love to live the stress free life you have and you both seen very happy doing it. Give Willow a hug and a stroke from us. God bless and keep laughing. 😍 XXX
Great vlog guys. Lovely to watch you travel the routes we will be taking in the spring. I know what you mean about stress. Living in a house and working stress levels high. Living on a boat stress low. You still sweat the small things though 🥴

Happy belated 30th!! lol. Enjoyed the video it was entertaining as usual you give us many a laugh. Did you get your gauges sorted out? Let us know if you still need some help. We have a few unexpected family commitments but would hopefully still be able to meet you or help you sort the gauges out. Cheers Phil & Marianne
Thanks you too we always appreciate the help and support. We are in the marina in about a month so plan on doing thee gauges then (still feels like it should be gages!) You will be the first ones we contact when we do!
@@sameshipdifferentday2024 OK - we have to head home to Devon for a funeral 1st Dec not sure if we will stay until Xmas or pop back, depends if my family need me. Be back definitely for start of New Year. But will let you know when we are about 😀
Hi Tony , Sonia and beautiful little Willow , happy birthday Tony hope you had a wonderful night. My daughter birthday is this month on 15 of November, the big, 43 years old , makes me feel old , LOL anyway always enjoy your videos. You are such a wonderful couple I just get so excited when I see your videos. I know it Sounds stupid but I do because I know I’m going to have a good 30 plus minutes of laughs , Cliff from Logan City Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 I’m on the big island 🏝️
43, that age seems so far away to me, a 30 year old... I do think you should start giving us positive adjectives not just Wilow, you can't be having favourites Cliff!
Yes they have built in heaters that activate automatically for charging below 0 degrees. They will continue to output down to -20 degrees, If it gets that cold we have bigger problems lol The Victron Carbon GX will keep an eye on everything
You have a total of 400Ahr of battery capacity. You in effect couldnt run 400amps for an hour, as your cables would melt. Think the other way in that you could do 4A for 100 hours. So add up all the appliances and divide into 400 and it will give you rough amount of hours you could run everything at once. Just a guide for a rough estimate as it ignores any charge going in and the fact everything wont be on at once. Wouldnt mind an update next year once you have lived with them for a while. I might upgrade ours
Roger that’s a much better way of explaining it. The BMS automatically adjusts the output capacity of the battery depending on temp and available percentage left. The batteries could do 400amp for an hour but your right the rest of the system couldn’t. I think with the Inverter that is currently fitted they would struggle getting anywhere even close lol
Yep the BMS will handle the flow of energy in and out the batteries and seeing as it is a modern one will do a great job of keeping batteries in good condition. One real benefit of the new battery chemistry is that you can take the batteries down by approx 80%. So 20% left. Whereas with lead acid you are more likely to get 40%. So you would have say 320Ahr available over your four batteries. Whereas with lead acid only have about 160Ahr, even tho the same number of batteries and in theory the same capacity. Shows how technology has come along.
Happy late birthday, so pleased you got your batteries sorted, I can say that lithium batteries are a game changer another thing not to have to worry about, enjoy your travels.
Really enjoy watching your adventures. As I mentioned before love the banter between you. Must be hard being 30 Tony. I remember it well a long long time ago. I was overseas with the RAF at the time. Keep cruising.
@ we’re planning to cruise the K&A for the first year then venture on to the Thames on year two. Our son had just purchased a 53’ narrow boat and were helping him renovate it, well my wife is 😃
So sad to see Barbridge closed and bored up We have our boat in Overwater marina Auldlam We always have the first and last trip up the Llangollen in spring and Autumn The last time I turned left after Hurston flight to visit Barbridge for a final drink (hopefully not) if you look at the “footprint of the land “ including the car park building developers will get at least 10 good sized houses on that site
I always think of the people local to the pub when it closes as they lose a chnk of their community. Great place to have your boat btw we loved Audlem.
Happy birthday Tony ,was that your back creaking or the ratchet on the paddle mechanism 😂Pleased you got your batteries sorted, what a difference!Don’t let them get too cold and hope for some solar🧐
Happy belated birthday 🎂 Tony. I have to say you two make me laugh from beginning to end of your vlog. Also you don't seem to fare well for a 30 year old, early on set of grey hair and receding hair line. (Ha ha).😂 Thanks for sharing. Take care and stay safe
The operating temps for the batteries are -20 to +60 but the BMS in each battery will disconnect any loads if that is reached, The BMS adjusts the load settings automatically depending on the temp. All feed back to the Victron Cerbo GX that will make the best decisions for the system. The nice little vent in the side of the boat will keep the batteries cool during the summer.
