This Video reminded me of your fall on the Ice!! 😖 Glad that's healed. 😊 I got a WPL Truck for my Grandson - and quickly realized after he ran down the Cat and tore the Tires off, that he's still too young for it. It's the 6X6 "Army Truck" that's nearly 1/15th Scale, by measurement. It's SORT OF a Deuce-and-a-Half... And like yours, I'm VERY impressed with the Scale details!! 👍👍 This one is a RTR, not as nice as yours, but will take upgrades. It's got plastic Driveshafts that fall apart if you look at them too long! Steel Chassis though, full Interior. Same SOFT Tires.... Same Battery under the Hood. And, as a Model Railroader of almost 45 years, I've got a full compliment of Weathering supplies, including a Rust Patina Kit - that makes REAL Rust, with Iron impregnated Paint!! 😎 SO...... I believe I'VE got a Flatbed load myself! But you've really sold me on that Land Cruiser too. Thanks for the inspiration!
I"m sold , on this 4x4 . We can"t all spend a grand on our hobby . If you think about it , a hobby is a toy for us to enjoy !! My grandmother did ceramics, my grand pa flew model planes.. How lucky are we to have such choices ?? I was born in 1962, midclass Omaha Nebraska, and sometimes I feel guilty for having such options. If we be kind to others , maybe , sometimes , we can treat ourselves111
You have a good and inspiring channel. I stumbled across it a few months ago and got stuck. You describe the different steps in a way that makes you feel involved in your constructions. greetings from Sweden.
The best c-44 build so far i think. Your build vids are very "understandable" for us(at least me) who does not speak english on daily base. (i`m old norwegian), so i watch with interrest..
Really like your builds.....have you ever thought about doing a video on just the paint booth....how your booth is set up. What you use for turntables and clamps. How you use (setup) the compressor and what compressor to buy? How to use an air brush, how to clean it and how often, also which ones to buy? How to use brushes and which ones to buy? What paints you like. Even what sand paper or sanders to use and buy? Any special tricks. That would help us newbies to the hobby. Again, that WPL truck was totally awesome. Keep up the great videos.
Wow you're really talented modeler. I really like the way you are very thorough as you want through the built. The painting process explained well I'll have to watch some of the other videos to find out more about that side of it. Definitely going to subscribe. God bless really good job on this truck looks fantastic
WPL are pretty solid RC trucks for the price. Understand what they can and can’t do and they’re fun - especially when we can’t go out and play with the big stuff at the moment!
Great weathering! Unfortunately almost every model made by WPL is in different scale, this one is 1:12 and it is slightly too big. Their older models - C-14 and C-24 Toyota Hilux - are a bit smaller and they look perfect with Tamiya trucks.
Hi Bob, are you still going to do a connection and set up vid on the Beier module? See a lot of people had probs with the diffs being really notchy, mainly when the diff cover goes on.A lot of people was spacing and shimming, you seemed to get by without any,the company said the axles need to be run in! Really enjoy the build vids and this was something a bit different, brand wise.
I am building this however the large bearings don't slide over its almost has to be a press fit also the steering knuckle doesn't align so the screws will not work what am i doing wrong?
Best colour combinations and finish I have seen on a C44.
Well done!
This was a great video. I just ordered the same kit a couple of days ago and your build video here will really help me out when doing mine. Thank you.

Nice build! I like the way you made it a convertible. I have a couple of these kits and think I’ll make one of them convertible. Thanks for sharing.

Great job. Looks great

Glad to see you back in action! Always enjoy your videos. Hope that thumb is feeling better
Thanks, healing well.
I have one of these on order, but after watching this video I'm struggeling not to buy one more... great video and lovely build!
I have seen a few of the WPL trucks on some other channels, they do seem to be a pretty good bang for the buck. Great weathering job on the paint.

Right, I am going to order that weathering kit and try it on my Semi's...never knew Tamiya made those!...again thanks tons Buddy!....
Good to see the hand brace off
Nice 👍. Work. As. Always. Wiii. Be. Watching. Lee
Very very nice paintjob. And i see WPL does a better job with this one, than with the others in scale 1:16. ❤️
Always get so much inspiration from your vids bob...ty so much...you do make it look easy do lol..😉☘🇮🇪
i love ur content keep up the great work
Thank you, you got it made but everyone skips the hardest part which is detail axle building. Im struggling with those.
another great vid thank you
Looks great

Great video!!!!!
It looks like they've made some major advancements in the quality of these WPL kits, since I got mine!
They have! I have one of the first army trucks they did and the difference is pretty amazing.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC I do too. That thing was problem plagued! After seeing the quality in the kit, I never bought anything else from them.
Went to the site and almost pulled the trigger. Thinking of mounting some gopros on it and use it on my wildlife photo shoots..lol
Gears parts inside of the gear box metal or plastic? Thanks
Wow, fantastic build. It really seems quite good value for money. Do you recommend it for beginners?
I do not know why not. It is a pretty simple kit and goes together well. Even better deal with the coupon code in the description.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC Thanks, I just might consider it. Best regards.
Nice job with the fj45 and is not 1/16 it is 1/14 scale perfect for your Tamiya
It does look good with the trucks!
Br slot coolef if it was a chevy.but very nice truck
I guess you have the heater on in your workshop. a lot of background noise. Nice looking kit.
Yes, was 18 degrees this morning... Needed the heat :-)
what type of battery did u use

Yes, more Beier coming soon. I did not do any shimming but did run them in with a battery drill for a bit. Seems pretty darn smooth overall.
I have found that the tires go one the axels with a lot of pressure? they just don't slide on am i doing something wrong?
👍👍👍
Video idea can you make a freightliner XL classic out of a king houler
Mid roof
You could use a standard King Hauler with Grand Hauler headlights and a roof cab off a Cascadia. Take some body work but could be done.
Ok
I am building this however the large bearings don't slide over its almost has to be a press fit also the steering knuckle doesn't align so the screws will not work what am i doing wrong?
got it figured it out thank you
When building any kind of kits. During assembly. It's good to screw everything loose and then tighten
🔥👌👍
Also bob did you use the gaskets for the front and rear end my kit came with some real nice gaskets thank you
I bought one, immediately after watching your video .... as usual it is very dangerous to watch your video!
you need a mic, cant understand you talking in the begning
