I had one of those, i upgraded it with duel motors (3kg pulling power each), servo for stearing and 2s lipo, also added a winch with 3kg lifting power and a smoke unit from a tank, an esc and reciever/handset from a rs4 micro.
This it why I can only really recommend the KM kits and prior to that they needed upgrades to be good. The RTRs are a no go for me with my crawling needs. Glad to see you had a good time with the KM kit you built. WPL keeps getting better!

I think Kev's stance on WPL has been fair. Good to see they are obviously working on their product, that way everyone can be happy. Gotta say this one looks pretty tempting.
I got metal gears an axels and linkages on my WPL and ive had it for a couple years and it still works. The stock tires have actually worked well for me on the rocks around my house
The unity-board is put above the servo, there is a screw whole on the board and you can easily figure it out. No need to cut the engine room. But you need to cut the head light plug shorter to put the engine room on.
Glad to see you tried one of the km trucks. They can definitely be addictive I really enjoy them myself. If you would have removed that top plate where your battery goes there's actually a spot to bolt down that sound unit circuit board then you can bolt that top plate back down and it hides all the electronics so all you see is the fake engine and the battery when you open the hood. I must say they sure have come a long way in about 3 years since the company started. Another really cool thing about them is the owner listens to everything people have to say and that applies it to the next line of vehicles as well as the old line of vehicles to make the entire line of vehicles a lot better. Maybe next you'll decide to give redcat a fair shake. I would recommend the landslide to anybody stock out of the box the things tough is a brick and then with a few M2C mods and a steel spur and some diff fluid it's pretty much bulletproof. Hey its Alex kowaliuk from America 🇺🇸 I'd spray that circuit board with waterproofing spray after you fit a heat sink to the circuit board. Just what I would do . I mean atleast spray it with waterproofing. Thumps up my comment if you want Kevin to show you how to waterproof rc circuit board with spray

The WPL km kits are definitely a nice cross between level 2 or 3 model and hobby grade R/C. I painted mine up and I think I am going to do the MN tire and wheel upgrade. So happy you are feeling the WPLs Kev. 😁😁
The RTR versions of WPL models are toy grade. The KIT versions come with metal gears and softer tires, but you have to provide your own ESC, receiver and transmitter. The KM version is the one in the video with metal gears, metal axles, axle housing, two speed gearbox, etc.
Now that’s a fair video on wpl kit showing the pluses and drawbacks, I’m no fan of them but I knw there’s plenty of fans out there, I’m just a hobbyist but their metal kits do seem to be decent enough from what you’ve shown to us.
I do love the military style body on the original. Would be cool to paint up a proline power wagon body like that for the TRX4 or the TRX6 and build a flat bed for it

nice video bro, i own a rly heavy modifed c24-1, 3x c14 for my kids and wife and a D12 to chase other cars and make ppl smile =) wpl makes great cars i can say, u get ALOT fun for the money, alot !!! cars getting better and better every month. parts are cheap and there are alot tuning and upgrade parts to customize it your way. Even if i spend the most time with the C24-1 i gotta say the D12 is different, such a fun car for everyone i would say. WPL pls keep doing what u do good !! @Kevin Talbot nice video bro +1

Cool mate much better than the 1st one, wonder if you can help me with my sons rc car it's a nikko polo wrc an for some reason its lost drive forward an backwards the steering still works but it's a main circuit board type electics what do I do any ideas mate? All that happened was it went to a wall in the house low speed an it gave up drive after couple seconds as if it overload it as my son didn't release the trigger straight away I cant seem to find spares anywhere defo none in uk anyways😅
Kev in my opinion the Hobao Hyper MT nitro is the best sounding nitro I ever heard!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. Try taking the tuned pipe off of a nitro for a little bit I know it pumps the fuel but it will run for a little bit(make sure mr grumpy don't come after you) LOL LOL LOL!!!!!!!
I just built AWPLC24 with MM90 tires MM90 links the 2 speed transmission locked in 2nd gear with the tracks X380 to 8 tooth pinion on A 45C 2S lipo 2200 mah a 45 amps speed contoer. control . I also took and use the 1st Gen. TMax throttle servo and replaced it and the WPL as a steering servo. I would like to send you some pics of my toys I don't know how to do that epic content love your channel bro
I wonder if the sound and esc kit was supposed to go under the bit you cut out Kev. Because I think they put it their so you can chuck your sec under that to conceal it and make it look nicer.

Just picked up the Team Associated CR12 trail series tioga model. Absolutely love it. Powerful 380 motor handles upgraded 3s pack perfectly
