In this video you will learn how to install the universal laptop skin
-Peel the skin from its backing, align it with your laptop and lay it into place.
Starting from the center and moving toward the edges in smooth motions, firmly press the skin into place. If any creases or bubbles form, SLOWLY and GENTLY peel back the skin to readjust before smoothing it back into place.
Using a razor, carefully cut excess vinyl around the edge of the laptop (Always use caution when working with razor blades, and be sure to cut away from the surface of your laptop to avoid damage)
Trim any small detail areas, such as corners, for a perfect fit.

DO NOT INSTALL IT LIKE THIS! you need a hair dryer, a credit card and an xacto knife. place the sticker, then smooth bubbles with credit card. make sure your laptop is off and on a LOW setting use the dryer around the edges to gently shape and pull the skin around the corners. then FLIP IT OVER and use get the xacto knife as close to the laptop as you can and cut away the excess. make sure its stuck in place and youre good to go.

You re supposed to apply it gradually while removing the paper underneath, as it shows it will be full of bubbles.

I tried to do this and ended up with too many rough edges and my laptop has razor "burns" around the edges from using a razor to get a precise cut. I noticed in this demo there is one spot in the front where he cut out a chunk and you can see the laptop there. This is not as easy as it looks. I already ruined one skin trying to do this. It's best to buy one that has curved edges already at least because that helps.

Have another process to start from the middle, instead of taking off all the skin at once before sticking it on the lappy. And use the ruler to remove the air bubbles.

I scratched the edges of my laptop using a razor to trim. It doesn't look terrible but I would rather they were not there. Plus it was an epic fail and I had to throw away the skin anyway because the edges were just too ragged and once that happened there was no fixing it.
