It overwhelms me how talented you are! I have never watched a video where you didn't inspire me somehow. Thank you so much for sharing your work with us.
They are lovely pots.....however, you didn't show how to add the water to the planter, and tell us, how we know, when it is time, to refill it. Plus, how do we know when it is empty? Brigitte in Tulsa Oklahoma Zone 7A.
Amazon sells water reservoir inserts that fit into HD or Lowes buckets provided you drill a drainage hole up the side. The tube part has a stick attached to a cork which floats and will indicate water level. When the stick is high the water reservoir is full. When its low you know to add water
The type of clay used for these is simply not available/mined in the US… Many ceramic products that are made in the US are importing their clay from overseas as the quality and purity of the clay is critical to creating world class pieces. This factory also distributes beautiful work from this factory to Europe and all over Asia, making Vietnam a centrally located hub for a global product.
Oh wow…hairspray for plants, Who knew! I do love the quilted look and here in Michigan I think they’d be pretty nice on my riverfront. I guess it’s time to shop for spring is here. I was just thinking about you today Jack as I heard the bridge was shut down for falling ice. That means pretty soon you will be working your island magic again. Oh how I enjoy being enlightened and entertained by your gardening talent. Thanks for sharing your gifts with us…Happy planting!!!:):):)
Love this. Would love if you could develop a way to retrofit the internal mechanism for existing pots. The drain hole is the only barrier I can think if. I have sone beautiful, very expensive pots that I don't want to get rid if but love this system. I'm sure I will fine another spot for some of these though!
We visit every planter once a week to trim, clean, and top em up-- some don’t need much water at that time, while others in full sun/wind do, but we find it is a simple, weekly task to just visit them all and top em up…. The plants then will drink what they want when they want….
@@JackBarnwellDesign thanks i kinda figured once weekly and that tiny whole allows for the excess to run out??? Great work ! And great pots for hot dry weather here in WV maybe tooo much rain if that’s possible ? Are there areas that these pots may not work as well?
Geez I guess I did forget that!! There are other videos we have on that, but essentially, once planted, you soak real well from the top then simply fill the tank~ then, once a week, top it up!
FL, Jack you are going to melt! Really appreciate this video. I took a trip to mackinaw island and tried to find you by asking the locals, no luck! Congratulations on becoming a daddy, never heard you intro this way.
I remember when Jack first came out with these pots. Beautiful and innovative! I love my annual visit to Mackinac Island. You can see these pots and all of Jack’s amazing landscape design all over the island! Bravo Jack! You have such talent and vision!
That is so cool you created the aquapot. I've been seeing them for about a year and they seem very popular. . Everywhere I've seen them in use the plants were showing out and healthy in the aqua pots. I've been using dormant oil to deal with the pest a little easier and I like the way it puts a shiny coat on the plants like your spray does. You didn't really mention it but I bet it will help with soft body insects too.
So beautiful. Really Love the white pot! I thought the continuous release fertilizer was heat activated. Wouldn’t the water soluble one be better in the water?
That works too- but for a slow more consistent, small amount of feed, the slow release works well- depending on the plants, water soluble works great for heavy feeders, like Supertunias!

@@Bandaid17 Thank you😃.
Thanks for popping plant names on the screen.
nice pots and I assume you watered them at the clients property. Approximately how long will the reservoir last with that group of plantings?
They are visited and watered once per week~
My question,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, why couldn't they be made in the USA, not Vietnam ????????????????????????
My guess is their profit margin is a lot bigger compared to being made in the USA.

Good grief, "Laura"! Lol, can you get another plant in there😁 just kidding. That looks stunning!!!
Hi Jack! Love watching your videos! You are so talented and kind! God bless you sir!😊
Beautiful pot and arrangement! I’m still awaiting a Canadian distributor for the AquaPots . 🌸🇨🇦

Yes you are right they are beautiful. I would love to have maybe three or four but, I just can’t afford them. I can always dream.😊
Hi Jack! This was a wonderful share. Thank you so kindly! Beautiful! 😊🌱🌿🪴☘️
I love how Jack explains and shows how the pot works and I love his pot design 🪴thank you for the demo🌹😻

I’ve been making my own for existing pots. Side hole challenging. I reinforce bottom hole with rubber spray
Hi Jack!
When are you heading back up north?
Already on my way!!
Always a joy to watch you. Amazing work.
Love the white quilted pots!
Thank You for partnering with Vietnam not China
So gorgeous!!!
How often do you water and how to know how much water you need?

Why is Jack such a dream boat? 😍
Perfect for by the pool thank you
Hehe i see my car! C3 team member here!!! Whoop
There must be another video on how and when to fill the reservoir with water
Geez I guess I did forget that!! There are other videos we have on that, but essentially, once planted, you soak real well from the top then simply fill the tank~ then, once a week, top it up!
Thanks
How do you keep mosquitoes from breeding in the water reservoir?
Awesome video. Learned lots!
Beautiful 😍 😘
Love it !

Please do lots more Makinac cottage garden tours! They light up my life! lol 😋
Stunning planting combo, Jack! 👏👏👏 Do you anticipate making AquaPots in concrete, similar to a Unique Stone style? Would that even work?
Do you spray Chrysal on them again when you do maintenance to the pots. Or is it once and done for the season with Chrysal?

Love the design and the pot as well. I am definitely inspired as I think all those plants would do well here in San Diego.
