Thank you Julie for sharing your knowledge! I never thought I could make a sleeve as beautiful and dramatic but you made it so easy to follow. Quess what I’m doing today!!!!! I have subscribed and will be a big fan❤️🎅☃️🎄
Hi, Julie. Thanks for the great video. Have a question: How about if the fabric is not stretch? Do we add a button, therefore adding more width to it and if so, how much width would you suggest?
Velvet is usually very soft, so it will most likely stay on the smaller side. If you would like to do a big puffy sleeve - make sure the fabric you choose has stiffness!
Hello Dear! Thank you for your comment. I bought this dress form in local store, the brand of this mannequin is called Adjusto. Please check my latest video about this dress form - maybe it will be helpful to you! :)

Can we do this kind of sleeve without following your way?
I mean if we do the same circular and the same width?
Nice sleeve. Show us how you cut your dress?
This video was so helpful! Thank you!! What was the fabric used for that blue dress?
Glad to hear you liked this video! The fabric is heavy weight stretch fabric (not sure about exact name of the fabric).
Nice job
Very nice
Thank you, glad you like it :)
Do you have any tips on how tp help a bishop sleeve keep its shape? My puffy part don't always wanna work with me. It's made out of velvet and satin.
How does the fall over work? Do you move the bottom down for however much fall over you want?
Thank you so much for your video! Do I need to alter the bodice block for the armhole to fit since its changed? Or will it still fit perfectly?
Hello Sophie! No need to change armhole fit since the length of sleeve cap remains the same! 🤗
Hello , please I would like to ask how the hand will enter the sleeve? Are you using stretchy materials? . Am wondering cos of the allowance
Beautiful tutorial it was indeed helpful
Thanks
For its length
Did you short the sleeve 7 c.m the same cuff length?
No you don't . That extra length of fabric gets pushed back and that's what makes the puff.
Unless it's only gathered at cuff but not puffy.
Thanx
Hey Julie I have a question how do you sew it! Hahahah hope you answer.!
Hello Dear! Sewing this sleeve is same as with regular sleeve, you just have to do gathering at the bottom of the sleeve 😉
Ummmm.... first time sewing anything at all here... julie can you show us how to sew a sleeve at all 😅😅😅
P.S. Julie will a velvet sleeve puff out big or stay on the smaller side??
Velvet is usually very soft, so it will most likely stay on the smaller side. If you would like to do a big puffy sleeve - make sure the fabric you choose has stiffness!
How to sew this?
