I think competition can be healthy but not to a point with envy and sabotaging peers. You can be supportive and still be impressed by a peer and try to better your skills as a result for example. I always support my peers and admire them when they're good at their craft or better than i am, i also get motivated to learn more. I'm not for unhealthy competition where you hurt others or undercut etc. Personal philosophy. You want to be your best but at the end of the day we're friends not enemies.

I'm surprised James was even on the Joe Rogan podcast. He's in his mid 50s with wife and kids, a band almost 40 years old, and all the money a person could want, I'm surprised he bothers to ever leave vacation let alone do regular interviews where people ask the same questions a million times over the years.
