Jimin’s voice is very emotive and he is a master at expressing feelings through his dance and vocals. The vocal line killed this song but Jimin’s ‘Baby...calm down’ is definitely one of my favourite lines.

Couple interesting points. This performance ends with the boys walking off stage carrying their mics with them as the music continues to slowly close the song in your mind. BTS which has some of the loudest audiences is not looking for loud applause here but contemplation of what you just experienced. The other point is that BTS lyrics are frequently written as more than one string of thought, what I choose to call double entendres. This song is one of these. The level you experienced "House of Cards" about the emotions of a messed up personal relationship doomed to failure but one party pining for it to continue a bit longer despite realizing it is doomed to totally collapse is one. The other is a storyline BTS created which spans a number of their songs. This is carried across various medias but the key part is in "music videos". In the second installment of the story called "Prologue", which actually is more like a mini-movie, they present this song in the closing credits surreptitiously inviting listeners to explore what could be seen as a free standing song (meaning one) but which lyrically fits the ongoing story like a hand in glove as well.

Yeah Jimin was really emotive in this song when he sang 'Please baby, calm down'. If you haven't already seen Who is BTS? The seven members of Bangtan. Could you react to it please because there is so much behind each member and they're so inspirational with the hard work they put into their singing, dancing, and how they try to make everyone feel included. House Of Cards is such an amazing song which totally shows of the vocal lines vocals, this song is the type of song that if it is played in a film or drama on TV then you know shit is going to go down.
This is one song that i never ever skip on my playlist and i just love it so much.
Also this song has to be one of my all time favorites that not only shows off the powerful vocals of Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook but it also shows the emotion they put into every lyric and into the performance.

In the same line, maybe a little more complex lyric-wise is Crystal Snow one of their Japanese songs. And their live performance is also AMAZING (and you will get to see all 7 of them). And yes, BTS has that kind of music where you cannot skip any song, as each of them hits a particular need in you. Even after such a long time, after I listened to them millions of times, I am still in awe of how they could manage this. How can each song from their albums is so goddamn perfect? I remember in the beginning I tried to make a core playlist from their songs and every time I ended up adding this and that, oh, this too, oh but that one, too. I gave up at one point. The exercise was futile. :D

The way you react to the songs is reason I like reaction videos in the first place. None of us have enough new people coming in to our lives to continually share our favorite songs and get to see the reaction of someone else “falling” for the song too. If that makes sense.
I recommend you "The Truth Untold" "Zero O Clock" "Serendipity" "Lie" "Filter" "My Time" "Singularity" "Epiphany" "Stigma" & "Euphoria" for the vocaline 💜 BTS doesn't have a very strong vocaline because their main focus was the rapping they were supposed to debut as a hip hop group, the singers didn't took vocal training lesson like the other Kpop idols did. And the fact that they can sing so well it's amazing 💜
I think they have a very strong vocal line-they have a lot of versatility in vocal texture and style, and they all are amazing at conveying emotion. I would say they are currently one of the best vocal lines in kpop, especially live. Although not all of them were perfect at debut, they weren't weak as a vocal unit ever.

Lmao they have perhaps the strongest vocal line in my opinion as a vocalist. Nowhere else while you find the sheer range and variety in tonality, nor will you find singers able to sing continuously live while dancing and remain fairly stable like the BTS vocal line.
There is one people finally interested about lyrics, and talk about such beautiful meaning. I am impresed. You know how listen to the song. 🖤
There is beauty in sad songs because they bring out emotions that are often hidden deep down. It’s a way to get in touch with ourselves. BTS songs have that magic key to open those closed doors /hidden doors. Your analysis is very good and on point! House of cards is one my all time favorite b-side BTS songs.

I agree with your reaction. This is my reaction, even my bies is Suga. But Jungkook, who is the main vocalist, V , JImin and Jin voices are amazing and make me feel emotion when they are together. Anyway, the solo Jimin in "serendipity" live performance is very exciting. And Jin voice with his piano, in "Epiphany" live performance, was a song that everybody was waiting in every stadium in the world. And "V" with his deep voice in "Singularity", that lovers of the R&B, Neo Soul and Jazz fall in love with his voice, too. The lirics in "Epiphany" say: "I am the one I should love in this world, shining me, precious soul of mine I finally realized so I love me, not so perfect but I am beautiful and I am the one I should love in this world" from the bts Album: "Speak yourself". Anyway, There is a song that is very sad for me. That is "Spring Day", because of the Korean Tragedy in 2014 . And the simbolic lrics and film have with the relation to the tragedy that year. Thank you for the heartfelt reaction. House of Cards is both poignant and powerful. And what I find amazing is that BTS recorded this song in 2015(?) which means Jimin and V were 20, Jungkook was still a teenager and Jin was in early 20. Yet they were able to channel such heartbreak and desperation in their performance.
Every time I listen to this song I wish BTS will do more songs with jazzy and/or orchestral arrangement to showcase their talents

As he is new to BTS he may not realize how great it was to see Jimins part in this so maybe he should wait till he listens to a few more songs and knows the members so he would really appreciate it. I remember how shocked I was to see it after a few months of knowing BTS. Its worth the wait. He doesn't yet know the members individually as it takes a little while.

Just like what i said all BTS songs are really relatable every lyrics of each songs are what we had been through or what we have felt.i relate so much as a single mother who had been in failure relationship Only BTS had hook me into theyre music 2013 up to the future.
I l9ve each and every songs of BTS so its really hard to love or pick just 1 song of each and every album.

BTS has a vocal and rap line :) Usually the rap line does cyphers and vocal lines does this kinda stuff. Every BTS album has a lot of songs that rap line and vocal line do together(eg Stay GOLD), but they all also do their own separate things...part of the beauty of BTS , they all are so different but are allowed to do so many genres together and alone....I wish more artist were this artistically free and were not scared of experimenting with their craft.

Ugh I love this song, been playing it over and over lately. I go through period of where I love a song more then others and then I find my next song lol. I don't think there's one song I don't like of theirs.
all of their vocals shine so bright in this song and this performance is not even their best. the sound was a bit muted and they were all exhausted after a long concert. it's amazing that they still sound so good!

Another Army here...I’m so glad you can see past their insane good looks and costumes to see their talent, sincerely and well written lyrics!! They have become their own genre! And they are all about kindness and generosity! Another great ballad you might look into is The Truth Untold. It’s got such a sad story behind it. The lyrics were written based on an unrequited, one sided love story in Italy many years ago. Beautiful!!

I definetly agree with what you said! The boys are very smooth and it is defnetly hard to choose a favourite song of them.. BTS has no songs you would skip it just depends on the mood you are in and they offer everything you want :) I agree with checking out "Crystal Snow" or my pick would be "Let Go" also a japanese release of them. I think "Let Go" is a perfect example of how they tie their dance moves to the lyrics and tell a story with their whole performance :) But honestly just like they did it for House of Cards they could just sit still and sing and deliver their emotion perfectly :D Loved your reaction to it!

If you really love sad songs that much, We are bulletproof : The Eternal is for you. The melody is sad, its almost depressing for me because I know their hardships and suffering. It's their story, their pain and struggle but also a beautiful one too. You should check that out if you haven't. There's so many hidden messages in that song.
Just want to say, Thanks and hang in there. I get that pain of losing a relationship. I was married for 25 years, to my best friend. Was devastated when he walked out, without any explanation and not willing to try to work it out. That wound will take some time to heal, but it will heal. Eventually, the life you will create, will be better than the one you mourn. For me, it has been 15 years, and I have the best life, done things, been to places, lived dreams that I never would have seen if we were still together. (And that is the best revenge.)
