Well, 3 years ago now, but your video is still helping novices like me. I wouldn't have attempted this without your help. Your plain terms were easy to understand. Can't say enough about Quantum pump either. Everything was as advertised. Wife or gf telling you the battery was about to die was priceless, along with her background music". Thank you so much!
Awesome job man! Was kinda intimidated at first but your video gave me confidence to tackle it! All done now about to put the bike back together and see how she does! Btw those are needle nose pliers, not vise grips lol, great job agian!
Magnificent video. Clear, concise, and no blah... blah...blah taking up all kinds of time like most videos. Please, continue to do more videos in the future. Nothing like an intelligent young man. Again, well done.
Great video thanks. Only thing I would suggest is a little better camera focus on what your working on. Alot of times all we could see was your hands or arms
I found this last night thanks to your comment. I'm not going to cut it open because I fear that I may not get a good seal when I put it back together. I sprayed a whole can of gumoff through it and shook it like a devil, then let it sit filled up with cleaner overnight. It still has black gunk on the filter but its a hell of a lot better than it was and it doesn't have any more rust particles in there.
Thank you VERY much.. got a zx6r ninja which uses the exact same pump assembly.. battling to find a wiring guide for the pump. Your vid has everything I need for my rebuild !
Poke a hole in the secondary high pressure filter screen and then install a external high pressure filter from a honda or toyota, if not you'll have problems over and over again😮
I'm going to attempt this now myself. Would've took it to the shop but your video is really well done and will help someone with limited mechanical experience like me but who can follow instructions which you've laid out step by step. Question: is there a simple way to test the pump first before buying this refurbished kit? I can run 2 wires from a battery but not sure where to attach them to determine whether the pump is operational or not.
My problem was the regulator which is all I needed not the whole kit but if you change one part change it all 💪🏿🙏🏾💯 Thanks good Video and bac ground B-Bop music!
Hi man. How did you.know that your problem was just the pressure regulator?' . Am having problems with my bike just weeks after this same instalation. At idle its ok, but once you try to run there is backfire and big loss of power
Hi everyone! Does anyone knows if this fuel pump worth the money? 'Cause there's a lot more cheap at AliExpress jejeje. I replaced the fuel pump filter following the instructions on the video, but now is really difficult to start and can't stay on idle, I need to push the start button several times to get idle. I must say that in the process I dropped the fuel pump accidentally and I think that is the cause for this issue, so I decided to replace it. What do you guys think?
What is the metal bracket that the two Phillip screws attach to with the white wire? Mine is corroded and the wire broke, and have no idea where to get a replacement.. thanks
trey moore That piece comes with the unit itself and I haven’t been able to trace down a part number for that specific item. Unfortunately I think you might have to buy a new unit just for that piece.
@@qualityroofsofgeorgiallc mine worked great but after a hundred miles or so the bike started bogging on acceleration then stopped working again. Great video! Is this the same for er6f 2010? To ground the pump without taking it out. Where do I ground on the pump? I can’t start my bike and the workshop told me it could be the ecu. So to check if the fuel pump was working he told me to take a wire from - battery to - fuel pump and leave + as is. To bypass the ecu.

Thanks, very helpful. But a couple questions.....just what is that.....*thing* the white wire is attached to? The wire on mine broke off but i can solder it back. But what is that part it attaches to? I bought and used this kit for my 2006 Vulcan 900 and found it has some wires and a connector which were not used in your video or my own rebuild. And are you sure those filters are identical or interchangeable? Im guessing this kit might be for a couple different bikes, with the V900 not using the "extra" wires and grommets. Opinions? Thanks.
I changed my fuel pump to Quantum set. I my bike still don't go faster than 90 km\h. I've done everything like in video. After 90 bike goes like he loaded full of indians and cows.
