I always chuckle inside when a person says “my cat.” If there’s any chance it can escape the compound, it will try out each house in the neighborhood until it finds the one with the best accommodations. This is how dog people end up with cats.

You have the standard plunger and then you have the XTRA-XTRA strength plunger 🪠
I have a plunger for the toilet, one for the sink.
Just buy one of the good plungers rather than two of those cheap funnel ones. I didn't learn this until age 40 or so.
I usually put a new roll in the holder, before the old one runs out----which always happens at the wrong time.

I was uninvited to my nieces house for Thanksgiving along with her parents and her siblings. She told me she and her husband were so stressed out at the thought of eating dinner with us.

My worst foot in mouth moment was when I was working as a controller telling recovery drivers where to go to pick up cars. I had been there a few weeks and "your mom jokes" were common. Then one morning one of the drivers called up the office and was like "what did you do last night?" Obciously my reply was "your mom," to which he told me his mom died last night. Everyone in the office already knew, but forgot to tell me. Such an awkward day.

The guy involved with the diesel prank is a saint. Even my wife came in screaming from the other room when she heard that.
It’s not nearly as bad as gas in diesel. Odds are you drop, drain tank, blow lines, replace inline fuel filter, refill with gas it will be fine. Most gas fuel pumps are unable to pump diesel effectively. But I have heard of people siphoning gas/diesel out, then removing fuel line. Pump dry, add gas, pump. Then filling for cheap fix.
@@larrythompson8630 It can still blow engines. Old V8s would run just long enough to detonate and break rods. My grandpa did it to his Lincoln back in the 60's.
Isn't the diesel nossil wider than the gas one and you can't insert it in?
I run the office for HD mobile service. Y’all would be shocked to know how many times we get calls for “Professional” drivers putting gas in their trucks.
@@jasoncrowther6010 yes in most cases. But rarely a place might have a smaller nozzle. I have my own bulk tank for pickup. A automatic nozzle fir car refurbished was well under half price of diesel one. As I am only person supposed to use it. If someone fills their car without my permission. Too dang bad.

I was at a potluck dinner one time and got, what I thought, was potato salad. I was sitting down eating, took a bite of the potato salad, spit it out, and said something along the lines of "man, this is awful, tastes like crap!" and the little 80 something year old gramma sitting next to me said "I made that..." ☠☠
When we had family gatherings on the holidays, they were really fun! See, every male in our family had pretty much identical opinions, so even the tiniest, tiniest disagreement would culminate in a couple of our uncles jabbing splayed fingers at each other with each one screaming that the other was a dangerous extremist!

I hope that every other time I laughed it cancelled out the first, third, fifth, seventh, etc. or else I'm screwed. Lots of good clips in this one! As to our thanksgiving dinner (which because of work schedules was held on Friday the 25th this year) we had a really great political discussion this year. Invigorating. No anger; lots of disagreement; some new information and ideas; and mostly lots of love. I just have the greatest family!

I said, “Oh, like Toni Tennille?” She said, “Exactly like that.” It turned out her mother went to college with Toni Tennille and I think they were sorority sisters, or something. It blew my mind. (I don’t know why I thought of Toni Tennille, except that I grew up in the 1970s, and have always been a fan of The Captain & Tennille.

My best (worst) foot-in-mouth story: I was checking a book out at the library and had to call up the librarian because she was working in the back for some reason. She handed me my book and as I'm leaving, I just go "have a nice-- good-- uh, nice--" and proceeded to alternate between saying "good" and "nice" before just spewing "DAY" and running from the building cackling.
Me: "Where are the self-help books?"
Librarian: "If I have to tell you, what's the point?"

To this day I can still feel what felt like thousands of creatures eyes watching me as I cleaned the tub (the tub in this one was NOTHING compared to the memory burned into my brain). He was the town hottie (1974) , fancy car & clothes, dating most every woman who lived in this town, & he seemed so worldly to me (he was 24). He'd told me he'd lived in that apartment for 2 years. Didn't dawn on me for years that he'd never cleaned that bathtub.

What year did the US gain independence, is somewhat of a bad question.... we declared we were independent in 1776, but one could really say that it wasn't until the war was over in 1783 that we truly became independent.
