I don’t have PCOS, but this was really good! Very encouraging and motivating for any of those who may be going through this especially coming from a nurse. ❤
*Timestamp:* 11:34 *Context:* The impacts of carbs on PCOS This is such an important point you brought up. How many carbohydrates you are eating per day has a massive effect on your PCOS symptoms. Here are just a few ways how eating carbohydrates will affect you: • Eating carbohydrates raises your blood sugar levels. • Eating carbohydrates raises your hormone levels (insulin) • Eating carbohydrates contributes to insulin resistance. • Eating carbohydrates produces inflammation. The last thing a woman with PCOS needs is more blood sugar, more insulin hormones, and more inflammation. If you want to have a major positive impact on your PCOS symptoms, then it is best to eat less than 20 grams of carbohydrates per day. The more carbohydrates you eat per day, the more inflammation insulin resistance and blood sugar issues you will experience. And no, it doesn't really matter what kind of carbs you are eating. Yes, there is some difference between the types of carbohydrates, but the difference is not big enough to matter. I am happy to explain more or answer questions or address concerns.
I knew i had it cause since 4th grade i was getting my period and then once i was in high school it stop coming next thing u know i would never get my period at all. I didn’t care either 😂😂. Im still having this issue. I took Birth control but my “period” only came for 3 months and it never came again. I never took it seriously bc who doesn’t love NOT having a period. But now I’m serious bc I’m getting older. I also have low vitamin D. It’s emotional bc most ppl can’t have a baby. We need more black girls talking about PCOS !!!!! Shout out to you !!! Bc the doctors just wanna do metformin and do birth control !!!
I believe so many of us have had it young but because our parents weren’t educated on it, it’s missed! It’s actually not bad when you’re young and don’t have a cycle but when you get older baby.. it’s needed!
Great video and very informative. I have pcos and it’s been a journey. But i have got in control and feeling much better and looking better than ever as well 😅. The mental effect it can cause is the worst and i was happy to hear you talk about that. We got this ladies❤️
Very good tips sis thank you for this! I recently started taking myo inositol and already see changes with my hormones & cravings and cycle . This was so good and informative 😊❤
*Timestamp:* 11:19 *Context:* Green tea being "natures's Ozempic." One of the main way that drugs like ozempic work is that they force your body to produce and release insulin hormones to help get your blood sugar levels down. Another way that drugs like ozempic function is to slow down the speed at which your food travels through your intestines → the slower your food is traveling, the slower you will absorb sugar from your food. The key point I am trying to make here is that ozempic is all about controlling how much sugar is in your body. *In other words, the big problem you have is that there is too much sugar coming into your body.* Now that we understand that our main issue is that there is too much sugar coming into our body, we know how to solve our biggest problem. All we have to do to reverse the biggest problem related to our PCOS is to simply stop putting so much sugar into our bodies in the first place. In other words, the fewer carbohydrates we eat each day, the faster we will reverse our biggest problem, which is too much sugar coming into our bodies. Consider this question. If Ozempic's main function is to remove sugar from the body, do you need to take Ozempic if you are not putting sugar into your body? Ladies, if you eat less than 20 total grams of carbohydrates per day, you will solve the main issue related to your weight and PCOS. If you eat less than 20 total grams of carbohydrates per day, you will not need to pay money for ozempic or experience any of its possible side effects, because you won't be putting hardly any sugar into your body in the first place. I am happy to explain more or answer questions or address concerns.
Hey boo I drink it first thing in the morning. Sometimes it’s as soon as I wake up and sometimes it’s right before breakfast. It just depends on how I feel or how busy I am!
i’m in nursing school and we was learning about diabetes and I realize I was having those symptoms also during this time my period lasted for 36 days straight. I was diagnosed with PCOS and type 2 diabetes as well as they found ovarian cyst. I had nooooo clue
