  • We are back with some book reviews!!! I've been wanting to get back to the root of my channel and I'm excited to release this into the world even if it may be a bit controversial.

I thought it was terrible!! As someone who takes 1-2 days to typically read a book, this took me over a week of pain 😂

It was 3 weeks for me. I liked the previous book so I struggled through but this one was awful.

I like reviews that are honest because I feel like we have similar tastes I read Darling Girl recently and we had similar dislikes. Keep up the great work

I’ve had that feeling with a couple of books recently. when it’s not good until the last part which grabs me and it has a cliffhanger but then it’s like should I buy the sequel knowing that for 75% of this book I did not like it. Even though now I wanna know what happens to these characters. Is it worth sitting through another book by this author that’s probably gonna drag until the very end.

Exactly! It makes it so hard because you know at least some of it will be good, but it's just not worth it to read the rest of the book.

Oh man, this book wouldn't appeal to me in the first place, but now watching your review I wouldn't touch it with a 50 ft pole!

This author is not for me. I read her previous novel and didn't really care for that one either.
I'm glad I chose a different book for my BOTM choice.

Okay that is good to know. I hadn't read anything else by this author and hearing this, I definitely don't even want to try to read another book by them.

    SPOILERS.
I wanted to read this book, then I saw the page length so I started looking for reviews. The fact is, you were just as annoyed by Daisy Darker as I was, so I tend to trust your reviews. I’m not going to stick it out if the investigation is not a lot of the book. So listening to your spoilers, glad I didn’t read it, thanks!!!
As far as not winning the appeal, I get that’s so frustrating in the novel, but it seems she went real life instead. I have a lawyer friend who works to get innocent people out, and to sum it up, she works really really hard, is constantly rejected, and once every few years she’s gotten someone out. She always explains how the courts job is to uphold the conviction, so it’s an uphill battle. It is so messed up, and takes forever for these things to change!

I do like that real life aspect at the end of it. I'm glad she did that, I just wish I cared more since the whole book just didn't focus on the case.
Thanks for watching my reviews! Hopefully I can put out some positive ones soon!
