Thank you so much for this video! God placed it in my path at the PERFECT time. My boyfriend is just beginning his faith walk, and for me, as someone who grew up in the church, the Lord is leading me to guide him on how to have an intimate relationship Him. So, tonight we discussed the 'no sex before marriage' to not only honor our bodies, but honoring God's will for us as well. I am the impulsive and reactive one, he is calm and has AMAZING self control. He protects my desire to maintain our purity before marriage, which I've never had before in a relationship. God put a man in my path that could control himself knowing that this is one of my biggest struggles. Also, when you mentioned the part about being ready to let go if God says let go, I said this EXACT prayer today! My words were "Lord I love him so much and I know it's real because of how You showed me what love is. I want to do what You want me to do, and ultimately YOUR will be done. I'm terrified because I want him, but I want what You want for me more." Anyway, shortly after we discussed how we will avoid temptations and support/ hold each other accountable, this video popped up. It was no coincidence. God is using you and speaking to us. All of this happened after we finished an Alpha session on 'Faith' where I told him all he needs to do is seek Jesus and he will find Him only to realize He's always been there! This was the perfect example of exactly that. Thank you for letting the Lord use you to talk to us and show His greatness. I'm 1000% buying your book! P.S. God is glorified regardless of whether we are married or single. It’s not our decision to make. We stay in the word, pray, and submit, He will be glorified through us. If not through us, then someone else.
Abraham's test was also meant for us. God already knew the outcome. But had this scene not happened, it wouldn't have been in the Bible. And God knew that you and I would be feeding on it today :)

I have a friend who I have been close friend with for 2 years now, there have been many tests and trials and I have made mistakes a few times 😭 however she still really likes me, and even when I decided to let go of her from my heart o lately every morning now I fall in love with her again and again. Do you think 🤔 God is in this guy's?
The bible does say "seek first the kingdom and all else will be added unto you" (or if I'm misremembering something to that effect). It is paramount we put Christ before a relationship, but if a woman or man comes along that we can glorify God in loving, why not pursue it? Paul says something akin to "if you burn with desire than marry". Remember that having sex out of wedlock is a sin, and you will reap what you sow.
Mark, what do you think of Derek Prince's "God is a Matchmaker" teaching? He did seem to teach to wait until the Lord brings the right person into your life, rather than to pursue a relationship. I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with dating, but I find it interesting that the divorce rate for arranged marriages is much lower than for marriages where the parents are not involved. Perhaps what happens too often is in our desire to be in a relationship we move too soon, and end with someone who may very well be within God's acceptable will, but not his perfect will. As for myself I've decided to just be like Steve Rogers and wait for the right partner. It's never really gone well for me whenever I've pursued a woman. My only success was with my ex-wife who I had three children with. But considering we got divorced twice that's not really much of a success 😆
Every woman I overhear says how all men are the same, and how they always cheat and only want them for their body. But I know (as myself) that if I were to have a girlfriend, I would make her feel loved, and love her for herself. If girls would just give me a chance, then I truly believe that they’d really like me a lot, but they don’t, yet they continue to say how all men are the same. How would they possibly know if they don’t give me a chance? For example, there was this girl who I was talking to, and asked out. She told me that there was no way in hell she would get with me, not even give me a single chance. A month later she ends up getting with a guy who crushes her heart and uses her for sex. But if she would have just given me a chance, then she would have never been heartbroken. For a short amount of time, I was convinced that women enjoyed experiencing heartbreak. But eventually, I started to realize that there was no way this was just a huge coincidence that every woman I asked out rejected me. I started to draw to the conclusion that there had to be some kind of higher up spiritual entity causing this. And for the longest time, I blamed God for the reason, thinking that he repelled women away from me in hatred. All I wanted more than anything was a girlfriend! To love a girl with all my heart, and make her so happy. I would get extremely jealous when I saw couples in love, knowing that I’ve struggled so long to get what they have. They have no idea how lucky they are, they take it for granted. I used to not understand it at all, and I know this seems crazy what I’m about to say, but God actually told me the reason why! He told me that he foresaw a future relationship that I had, the relationship would end up with her breaking my heart (he never said how). When she broke my heart, I end up becoming extremely depressed, and live a miserable life. But God refused that fate for me. He told me that he actually does repel women away from me, but for a good reason. He repels them away from me to prevent me from experiencing heartbreak, that’s why I’ve never had a girlfriend. He also professed a covenant to me. He said that one day, he would cast aside the barriers and let the perfect woman through, a woman that truly loves me. Every word he spoke drained my depression, until I felt nothing but joy. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense! Every female friend I’ve ever had has either been very fake and later told me they didn’t like me, or they were transgender/gay. Everything started to make sense! Ever since then, I’ve been dedicating my life to Christianity. The thing that I don’t understand is that in the book of revelations, god makes prophesies about what will happen when the end times are near. So far, the prophesies are unveiling, meaning that the end is almost near. Gods covenant to me included that I would live happily with the perfect woman. If the end times are near, then how will I live a happy life? It keeps me up at night, but I’m starting to piece everything together. In the Bible, it says that only the Father knows when the end will happen. Not even the Son knows! So although the prophesies are unveiling, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it will happen in my lifetime. And even if it does happen in my lifetime, I believe that God will quench my fear, and I’ll die in happiness with my beloved. In any event, I know that God will fulfill his promise.

You like who you like, nothing wrong with that and besides there is no such thing as a perfect family. ALL families have a little taint in them although some more than others 😂
No one comes from a perfect family background. People are only right with God through grace alone. You must apply that truth to yourself and others. Look for someone who understands grace, regardless of their family situation

Hey Mark The beggining shocked me quite a bit because i am at the moment waiting and pursuing god... before i a lot did it by myself as i didnt wanted to wait on god and go into the this risk of giving god the lead... so i dated girls and also went further but it never managed out and failed... so at somepoint i then just stopped because i thought maybe it didnt work out because i wanted to figure it out by myself and not wait and that i take the lead... but yeah it never was succesful so im now the exactly this what you think is wrong. I wait on god and give him the lead over my life. Im not surching anymore for a girl till god gives me in the right time at the right place the moment where she comes to me or where i feel now its the moment and now i can try. I know a lot of people that waited on god and god rewarded that and gave them a spouse. So do you think really its not a good thing to relie on god?
Perhaps rewatch that section. I didn't say not to wait. I said you should not wait and try to glorify God so he will give you a spouse. You should pursue a spouse (or wait for a spouse) to bring glory to God. If you are glorifying God so he will give you a spouse, you are not really glorifying God but wanting a spouse more than God. You should seek marriage to bring God glory, not trying to bring God glory so he will give you a spouse

Matthew 6:33 God says, before getting all things, before receiving all things including Companionship and dating...seek (First) the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness...and all things shall be added to you and me, including God's choice of a husband or a wife or a friend etc. 2Timothy 2:22 Here in this scripture, God again emphasizes what our priority is, that we should, "flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Before pursuing any career, man or woman, God wants us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds by pursuing to possess His divine nature, by pursuing God through believing and anchoring our spirits in His word, and making through faith His promises ours. By God's grace, through the faith of Jesus Christ, we are saved.

Remember that being willing to accept a no means _actually_ being willing to accept a no. Abraham believed God would fulfill his promise - even if it meant Isaac really died and God provided another way. God did not promise to save Isaac, he promised to multiply Abraham’s offspring and bless the nations through him. Likewise, you and I, dear sibling in Christ, must prepare our hearts to trust God in the case that the people we’re thinking of are not meant for us. We must be prepared to trust God even if there’s _no one_ for us. Do you really believe that God will fulfill his good purpose for you (even if it means you must let someone go or accept a permanent “no” to getting married)? We can still pray the answer is yes. Abraham believed God could raise the dead and God did save Isaac. But Abraham didn’t know he would do that, and he still obeyed God. We are never promised knowledge of the future. We are promised the goodness and loving presence of God. Will you and I still believe that if the answer is no? Or will we kick and scream?
Im assuming your not implying that marriage is the only avenue for glorifying God or the best as of if singles are have something that is outta their reach so God can be glorified? Of course not right? Just checking!
I address that in the intro of the book. Singleness and marriage are both callings from God meant to bring him glory and I would never try to persuade someone to be married if they felt they could better glorify God in singleness. The book is simply for those who feel called to marriage :)
Yeah whatever some people never find a mate no matter how much they pray why not be honest here God doesnt prepare a person for everybody. We Christian Singles who know its our fate need to move on from this fantasy land.
i dont understand this 'paradigm shift' youre talking about. shouldn't you really "put God first, and all else will be added unto you, according to His will"? you can't glorify God together, if He did not ordain the person for you, to begin with. this is absurd. it's not you who chooses the person for you, it's God who puts you two together. Give glory to God first, and He will do all things for you, in His will.

Mark, what do you think of Derek Prince's "God is a Matchmaker" teaching? He did seem to teach to wait until the Lord brings the right person into your life, rather than to pursue a relationship. I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with dating, but I find it interesting that the divorce rate for arranged marriages is much lower than for marriages where the parents are not involved. Perhaps what happens too often is in our desire to be in a relationship we move too soon, and end with someone who may very well be within God's acceptable will, but not his perfect will. As for myself I've decided to just be like Steve Rogers and wait for the right partner. It's never really gone well for me whenever I've pursued a woman. My only success was with my ex-wife who I had three children with. But considering we got divorced twice that's not really much of a success 😆
Every woman I overhear says how all men are the same, and how they always cheat and only want them for their body. But I know (as myself) that if I were to have a girlfriend, I would make her feel loved, and love her for herself. If girls would just give me a chance, then I truly believe that they’d really like me a lot, but they don’t, yet they continue to say how all men are the same. How would they possibly know if they don’t give me a chance? For example, there was this girl who I was talking to, and asked out. She told me that there was no way in hell she would get with me, not even give me a single chance. A month later she ends up getting with a guy who crushes her heart and uses her for sex. But if she would have just given me a chance, then she would have never been heartbroken. For a short amount of time, I was convinced that women enjoyed experiencing heartbreak. But eventually, I started to realize that there was no way this was just a huge coincidence that every woman I asked out rejected me. I started to draw to the conclusion that there had to be some kind of higher up spiritual entity causing this. And for the longest time, I blamed God for the reason, thinking that he repelled women away from me in hatred. All I wanted more than anything was a girlfriend! To love a girl with all my heart, and make her so happy. I would get extremely jealous when I saw couples in love, knowing that I’ve struggled so long to get what they have. They have no idea how lucky they are, they take it for granted. I used to not understand it at all, and I know this seems crazy what I’m about to say, but God actually told me the reason why! He told me that he foresaw a future relationship that I had, the relationship would end up with her breaking my heart (he never said how). When she broke my heart, I end up becoming extremely depressed, and live a miserable life. But God refused that fate for me. He told me that he actually does repel women away from me, but for a good reason. He repels them away from me to prevent me from experiencing heartbreak, that’s why I’ve never had a girlfriend. He also professed a covenant to me. He said that one day, he would cast aside the barriers and let the perfect woman through, a woman that truly loves me. Every word he spoke drained my depression, until I felt nothing but joy. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense! Every female friend I’ve ever had has either been very fake and later told me they didn’t like me, or they were transgender/gay. Everything started to make sense! Ever since then, I’ve been dedicating my life to Christianity. The thing that I don’t understand is that in the book of revelations, god makes prophesies about what will happen when the end times are near. So far, the prophesies are unveiling, meaning that the end is almost near. Gods covenant to me included that I would live happily with the perfect woman. If the end times are near, then how will I live a happy life? It keeps me up at night, but I’m starting to piece everything together. In the Bible, it says that only the Father knows when the end will happen. Not even the Son knows! So although the prophesies are unveiling, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it will happen in my lifetime. And even if it does happen in my lifetime, I believe that God will quench my fear, and I’ll die in happiness with my beloved. In any event, I know that God will fulfill his promise.

No one comes from a perfect family background. People are only right with God through grace alone. You must apply that truth to yourself and others. Look for someone who understands grace, regardless of their family situation

The beggining shocked me quite a bit because i am at the moment waiting and pursuing god... before i a lot did it by myself as i didnt wanted to wait on god and go into the this risk of giving god the lead... so i dated girls and also went further but it never managed out and failed... so at somepoint i then just stopped because i thought maybe it didnt work out because i wanted to figure it out by myself and not wait and that i take the lead... but yeah it never was succesful so im now the exactly this what you think is wrong. I wait on god and give him the lead over my life. Im not surching anymore for a girl till god gives me in the right time at the right place the moment where she comes to me or where i feel now its the moment and now i can try. Perhaps rewatch that section. I didn't say not to wait. I said you should not wait and try to glorify God so he will give you a spouse. You should pursue a spouse (or wait for a spouse) to bring glory to God. If you are glorifying God so he will give you a spouse, you are not really glorifying God but wanting a spouse more than God. You should seek marriage to bring God glory, not trying to bring God glory so he will give you a spouse

Remember that being willing to accept a no means _actually_ being willing to accept a no. Abraham believed God would fulfill his promise - even if it meant Isaac really died and God provided another way. We can still pray the answer is yes. Abraham believed God could raise the dead and God did save Isaac. But Abraham didn’t know he would do that, and he still obeyed God. We are never promised knowledge of the future. We are promised the goodness and loving presence of God. Will you and I still believe that if the answer is no? Or will we kick and scream?

I address that in the intro of the book. Singleness and marriage are both callings from God meant to bring him glory and I would never try to persuade someone to be married if they felt they could better glorify God in singleness. The book is simply for those who feel called to marriage :)

i dont understand this 'paradigm shift' youre talking about. shouldn't you really "put God first, and all else will be added unto you, according to His will"? you can't glorify God together, if He did not ordain the person for you, to begin with. this is absurd. it's not you who chooses the person for you, it's God who puts you two together. Give glory to God first, and He will do all things for you, in His will.
