Hello Friends!
Thank you for joining Johnny and I in todays video! I am so excited to share with you our love story! This story is not "perfect" or like the movies. It was not love at first sight, and we had many ups and downs (including a "breakup" and weeks of silence). It is undeniable that it was only God who brought us together. He put me on Johnny's heart and eventually put Johnny on my heart. Through the process, God worked on both of our hearts - refining us and leading us together. We want to share this story with you SO THAT God would get all the glory! We hope and pray that you would see God in us and in this story. We hope that this story would lead you to STOP and PONDER the goodness of God.
We are still in awe at how God worked in bringing us together and we cannot wait to do ministry together and live our lives as a testimony to God's goodness and faithfulness.

My sweet daughter thought she would never be asked out. Then when God sent her her man,she didn’t want him at first. I believe she was scared to share her heart. 3 months later they were married! They are so precious together, such a blessing to witness it.

My pastor regularly tells me, ‘Instead of trying to figure out what God is doing in our lives, remember Isaiah 55:8-9. We can not know God’s ways, for they are higher than our ways.” I think we should pray for wisdom and seek counsel, above trying to ask God to reveal what he wants us to do. We will know when he is ready. :)

Ashley is continually hugging Johnny. She is going to be a loving, supportive wife. Johnny was so patient and rely on God to chose his wife .It beautiful when God has his hands on relationships because ,he want us to be love correctly . what's beautiful about your story is that you both went through growth seperately, overcame your fears and moments of doubt, loneliness and pain, to then consciously *choose* love, which is what brought you guys together in the end. that's choosing Him, chosing God. God is love.

I am a Christian and watching this video from India. We have no ”dating culture” in India. So, 90% of marriages will be ”arranged”. I am unmarried and have been waiting on God to fulfil His promise about my marriage.

This is my story. 5 months ago, as an unmarried person, I posted a comment in this channel. I waited on God to fulfil His promise about my marriage. I fasted and waited for a God-fearing person. Our God is faithful. He heard all my prayers (every single word uttered from my mouth) and blessed me with a wonderful husband. 2 months ago (on June 4th), I got married (at the age of 33). Today, I am the happiest person in the whole world. “The wait is worth it “. “Those who trust in the Lord will not be disappointed “. All glory to Jesus alone. Hallelujah!!

He put us in the same place so we'd meet 2 times...we didn't end up talking and so God put us together a THIRD time when I literally ended up working at the same small store as he did. Sounds similar to me and my husband's story of how we met 🙌🏻 We saw each other in two different places in town within a span of 3 hours. After work that day he meets up with his best friend and tells his friend about this girl he saw twice in one day - turns out me and his friend work together. He pursued me 🥰 now we've been married for more than 5 years! God is ssooooo GOOD! He deserves all the glory!

Awwww you guys are so gorgeous together! I can totally relate to what you were saying Ash as I was indecisive about my husband too. I knew I liked him as a friend when we met, I admired him on an intellectual, physical and emotional level, but I just didn't know if I wanted to date him. I even said after our first "date" that we were not boyfriend/girlfriend lol. Before I met him, I was travelling overseas, starting a new chapter in my life after finishing university and working in the job I loved, and did alot of soul searching with myself and God. But then through our short friendship, and a rejected proposal (I actually laughed thinking he was joking!), I realised in a moment (he did something to help me which blew me away) that I couldn't spend another day without him. I now WANTED to be his wife! So, I also had reservations because he wasn't really the type of guy I'd normally date either, he lived overseas and I was worried we would be a holiday romance. Cut a long story short, 2 months later, were were married and he stayed here in Australia with me. We're now, by the grace of God, married 21 years (22 this year, thank you Jesus!), 2 kids, had ups and downs over the course of our life together, but I would do it all over again in the same way. I too wasn't sure, so I'm so glad you didn't rush it. Johnny preached to me when he said he didn't want to make you an idol, and focused on his relationship with God, and God made sure it all happened in His right timing. I pray that God gives my husband and I many more years together, and gives you and Johnny a beautiful life together for many years too! Congratulations and God bless you both!

I totally agree. I dated a few guys before Johnny and I wasn't happy because they were not strong in the Lord. So I would rather be single then be with someone just because I am lonely. I pray God would strengthen you fill you with His love! :)

This was really such a fantastic video. I pray that every young person or really anyone who desires to be married can somehow find this video because you both have shown what it means to desire God's will above your own & in doing that He will give you exactly what you need. Because you can be with the right person in the wrong season and that can destroy the beauty of how things can be. But you were both willing to walk away and He brought you guys back together in the right season and look at how happy and glowing you both are.
I think you two are the perfect role models for young people. Heck, people my age can learn a lot from you. So you're perfect role models for all people.

When you are under pressure to take a decision, then you have lost God in that process.

Allowing God to work things out may require dealing with idols of the heart, fears, insecurities etc until an assuring peace of mind from the Lord envelopes you.

This word has blessed me so much. God has confirmed who my husband is and had also confirmed it with him as well but we are both in that refining and preparation stage. I’ve been struggling lately with the thought that it shouldn’t be this difficult, that if it was truly from Him it would play out like those nice fairy tales we think we want. But I’m reminded that it’s all for His glory and with every blessing comes trials and difficulties to grow us and build our character and our FAITH and so He can get all the credit when the promise comes to pass. Thank you so much. I found myself liking a guy and I was scared of mentally dating him and lusting over him or emotionally getting attached as what you said. I was really struggling and I asked God to show me how to keep boundaries and tried to find verses when Jesus made boundaries to people. But to see someone struggling with what Im doing makes me feel really comforted thank you for the advice. I'll seek Christs love instead and ask Him to fill my heart instead of this man.

So happy for you both, praying for you both, specifically the Lord told me as of lately "Never settle for less," "Know your worth." Number 1 thing I love what Johnny said, paraphasing, Your identity is in Christ, who He, Almighty God, says we are, a child of God. He never fails us nor abandons us, in Hebrews, always let God search your heart as in Psalms, we need to check our motives, the why, all we need is in Him, He is our shepherd, I shall not want as in Psalms 23. fear is so common regarding christian dating these days, there is a lot of pressure when you dont know if this person is the real one, what if you make a mistake, what if youre "in your feelings" and not following Gods direction etc. I turned down two guys already because of this fear of picking the wrong person. :/
My grandma's advice (also her father's advice) is that there are a million people you could be happy with. They key is to find the one who is ready when you are. 😊 I hope this helps.
I believe God directs us towards different people during different seasons. There are infinite outcomes. Always be listening to where the Spirit is leading. Sometimes God makes you two the right person. If it's His plan, you can't mess it up... I think only delay it a bit. (I don't have scripture for this, so take it with a grain of salt). If you're both Christians and love the Lord, I don't think it's wrong to marry. However, I do think it can be difficult the less you know someone. It is healthy to have some years together before marriage. Though I'm not criticizing anyone who gets married right away.
It's not easy.
But one thing I've learnt is, there's no fear in Christ. We must forever look towards Him and put our hope and strenght in Him. And trust that He'll lead us in the right direction.

So we are just playing mind games in our head believeing he will make you meet the one or he will make you meet better candidates as a spouse but in reality we are just choosing according we believe fit with our values,so it has nothing to do with god
The lord must have lead me to come and watch this, I can definitely relate to your emotions Ash, I was indecisive about my partner... I was so young 17 when we met and was not certain about whether I was feeling emotions of god ordained love towards my partner or if I was having an emotional attachment to him like johnny noted. My partner and I also had a 1.5month break and I struggled alot battling with my feelings and whether I should continue pursuing a friendship between my partner and I... Long story short I had just been accepted to participate in an overseas exchange for 1 year, which I felt would have been restrictive of my partner if I was to say I'd like us to consider being more than friends, I thought by me opening up and allowing myself to deepen my feelings I could end up losing an awesome person I'd know or getting my heart broken whilst I lived abroad because we were together physically.But the lord had different plans, my partner and I began speaking again and started spending more time together again and things went back to how they were very good times lots of bible studies together meals and time together within our church worshipping/praising Jesus for his love. One day we were together and the question was asked and we started dating. Fast forward now to 2022 we are 21 and I'll be turning 22 this year. Lots of hardships and learning leaps with the lord. But so much joy and peace amongst it all. I am thankful Jesus led me to be more faithful to him and to trust in him even when I did not understand. Holy spirit has been my comforter through it all.

This gives me hope and encouragement, cuz I'm in that stage and really scared about what's going to happen, so this gives me hope that everything will turn out just the way God wants it, I just have to trust him.

I'm so happy I stumbled upon this 😭 First congratulations to both of you and for being patient on the Lord. The Lord took away a relationship of mine recently. I knew he wasn't the one for me. He wasn't godly and it would just lead to destruction. I have love for him still but I know this break up is God's doing. What Johnny said really impacted me. I feel that having it hard at the beginning is a blessing in disguise. It may be hard and hurt a couple times in the beginning but if it passes the test of time then it prepares the couple to have great soil, a rock solid ground for what is to come.

This is the first time I come across your channel and I love the story God is writing for ya'll. I am going on 2 years being married to a man that I know was God sent. I wanted to thank you both for sharing your journey because it is true, things are not always like a fairytale. We go through hardships and trials, but God is constantly teaching and refining us. I used to think that everyone always lives a honeymoon life during the courting and after being married. I now realize that God helps us and gives us what we need instead of the things we want because it's not always the best. His plans are definitely bigger and better than our own. There are many things you both mentioned in the video and they are answered prayers for me. Even after marriage I'm still learning a lot. God bless you and may the good Lord's peace be upon you both, always.

That was so good and encouraging. I’ve been very lonely in high school and desiring a godly friend but I’ve also been impatient and forgetting about my relationship with God. My priorities are messed up but this really helped me. Waiting is worth it. You’re right, it can’t always be easy but God does what is best and refines & shapes our character and heart in the process. I really need to trust him and remember my worth is in him. It is in this context of lack of his person that I asked God again to speak to me and I found you on the internet. I don't know what to say other than "thank you". I love a woman very much for almost two years and 6 months this is what I want from you guys for me, which will turn my life into laughter once and joy Not every true love is known to be complete. Hi, last year I was in the same situation like you are at the moment. So hopefully I didn't understand your story wrong, because english isn't my mother language. The boy I really loved, left me, we were together for almost 2 years. All the months we were seperated were really hard for me, during the time I lost some relatives, had physical and health problems and a lot of stress. But I learned to focus on god and honestly it got such a intensive relationship with god. I asked him to give me a sign, when he promises, that this boy and me will come together again. And I asked god for a rainbow, but without rain. I thought this was impossible and he will never do that. But, some days later when I was walking to a little sea in the forest and nobody was there, the weather was so sunny and warm. And as I had a look in the sky, I saw an intensive rainbow around the sun. Nobody of my family or relatives ever have seen that. But I knew god promised something in this moment. And, some months later, I had contact with this boy again. Now, we are on a very long journey to get a good relationship and there are a lot of problems we don't know to solve.
I just want to give an advice to you. Ask god about single thing you would like to know, trust him and his plan and don't have any doubts about a chance, your dream will come true. God isn't like that "he has a plan and you have no choice or dream". He sees our wishes and will also include them.

hey guys, i j wanted to say that this video brought some peace to my heart bc i’m in the exact same situation like y’all were in but as ashley said 20:53 it was the same for me but as i was idolizing him i thought to take a break but later after a month he literally said how it was hurting him that we were on a break and i was upset so i left him on delivered and turns out the next min he had blocked me. it has been 3 months now and i cannot stop thinking ab him. i mean we loved each other a lot the only problem was i prioritised him which was my biggest mistake. we always said we’ll have a God centered rs but we were so busy w ourselves. i request you to pray for me bc i believe i came across this video for a reason.
