For a timer I just use Google. At google.com which I have set as my new tab page I click the mic button and say "set a timer for xxxx minutes". Of course, typing it works as well. It opens a page with a timer set for that amount and starts counting down. For times over 100 min you have to be careful not to add an "and" or it won't work. So if you say "set a timer for one hundred _and_ thirty minutes" you will just get search results. You need to say "set a timer for one hundred thirty minutes". "Set a timer for 2 hours and 10 minutes" works too. At the end of the time you get an alarm that is hard to miss and continues until you stop it.
I use Taskwarrior on my desktop computer. It's the only app I know of that allows me to make a task depend on another task; a feature I appreciate, because it keeps my list from showing tasks I can't do yet.
I will set up the Cardstar app. I hate digging for my loyalty cards or worse, finding out I don't have it on me and may miss out on saving some bucks. This app will help me out!
KENNECTED , I’m wondering the same thing about Apple Wallet. Though he clearly stated that this was a list of things he was using at least 4 to 5 times a week.
I prefer Google Pay for this. It will store your loyalty cards and gift cards in the app and when I'm at Walgreens, the card automatically pops up in a notification so I don't have to search for it. It's ready to be scanned right away.
As someone who used to develop Parks & Rec software, I certainly know what you mean. Hopefully, more of your guests start using tools like these. Thanks for watching!
Great video thank-you! What projects do you feel are better for asana verses trello and do they connect in anyway? Also how do you feel asana is for privacy and control of information when collaborating? Would love to see a security video on the apps you talk about and the best way to secure yourself and the settings.
Thanks for your questions, Americo. Stay tuned to the channel, since I plan to answer many of these soon. Board Sync by Unito is a great tool for connecting Trello and Asana together. You may want to check it out!
Started using Todoist a few months back it seems to be becoming part of my daily routine. Assistant.to looks good, but I really need something that works for a group of people since I work with a team over four different time zones. However, I am going to look into Assistant.to for one-on-one meetings. AutoHotkey has been one of my go-to apps for many years. I believe it only works on Windows but I use it to automate all kinds of things. It saves me a lot of repetitive typing! I look forward to what other apps other people use too.
1. Business Calendar - for daily tasks management 2. Zoho Blocknotes - for ideas , event, etc management 3. Google Drive - for large project and files management 1. I tried many Calendars but I primarily use it on smartphone and Business Calendar is better than Google Calendar on smartphone Also I use multiple caledars for tasks management instead of todoist or any other. I try to simplify my work minimising the number of apps I use 2. Zoho is an UPGRADED Google Keep - it uses folders !! - you can arrange it the way you need - it is more friendly and responsive 3. Google Drive for 15GB free
Too many open extensions & apps can slow down a computer or cause too many re-directs. I use Extensions Manager (aka switcher) to turn off ones I’m not using but I have been told that merely having many inactive extensions on the pc will hog the memory on startup. Do you agree and do you address these issues in any of your videos? If not, can you offer any workarounds?
I'm all in on Calengoo... It's an obscure mobile calendar and task app that has been around for a very long time, it is very powerful and the developer is great if you have any issues.
Thanks, Scott, I use Calengoo to implement your to-dos in the all-day section of the calendar, it allows me to cross them off so I can see what I have completed.
Thanks for the question, Devora. The only finance tracking app that I could recommend would be Mint. While it is aimed at personal use they also have a My Business version.
Instead of assistant.to, i use calendly but the free account is only limited to one event type. I have yet to research further on assistant.to though. Is it as good and what are their perks for a free account?
does grammarly check my grammar even when im playing a game?? does it automatically add capital letters as well because i am tooooooooo lazy to turn caps lock off and on everytime both on mobile and my keyboard!
Thanks for the vid! Does Gammarly only work with the printed word? It didn't catch that you said "...so many different productivity apps *for you and I* to choose from." We say "[any preposition] me." The correct form would be"...for you and me."
Nuts... I like a lot of these suggestions, but then my interest was piqued by CardStar, and I immediately picked up my phone to look for it, until I looked back at the monitor and saw that it's iPhone/iPad only. :( Why not Stocard (stocardapp.com/en/us), which works for both Apple and Android?
@Simpletivity I opened the assistant.to link on description but it redirects me to Cirrus Insight (the company who bought it), they offer a 14 day trial, however, I wanna keep it forever. So... could you please share the extension files somehow? maybe utorrent or google drive :3
Six months. I really like its Gantt chart, its interface (it is better to Asana and Trello in terms of design, i think) and its integration with G Suite. Since we were already using G Suite before we found Workep out, it immediately became our preferred tool to do project management :)
Love all your content however the channel is called simple tivity . SIMPLE. Not having 5 different apps for taking notes. Keep it simple stick to one, having so many choices leaves me confused
What productivity apps are essential to your day?
Trello, Evernote, Google Keep and Google Calendar. Can't live without those four.
That's a powerful productivity package! Thanks for sharing.
ScanBizCards Business Card Scanner
Thanks for sharing.
Paymo, Inbox, G Calendar. And from time to time pen and paper, can't beat those for short term tasks.

Thanks for that great tip, Todd. Using voice commands is a fantastic way to be more efficient!
Great work!
Workflowy and Google Keep are my favorite.
Thanks for sharing!
Love the value you provide in this channel. Thanks a lot.
You are very welcome! Thank you for supporting the channel.
I am a big fan of Restyaboard. It is one of the best Productivity apps out there.
Moved off from Trello to Restyaboard, brilliant free Project Management Tool.
I use Taskwarrior on my desktop computer. It's the only app I know of that allows me to make a task depend on another task; a feature I appreciate, because it keeps my list from showing tasks I can't do yet.
Thanks for sharing, Bert.
I will set up the Cardstar app. I hate digging for my loyalty cards or worse, finding out I don't have it on me and may miss out on saving some bucks. This app will help me out!
That's great to hear! Yes, this app keeps my wallet light and all of my cards in one digital place. Thanks for watching.
Why not Suggest/use Google Pay? You can store all types of card in there.
KENNECTED , I’m wondering the same thing about Apple Wallet. Though he clearly stated that this was a list of things he was using at least 4 to 5 times a week.

Thanks for sharing!
There's an app called edo agenda. Best i have seen. It's like wunderlist+calendar+keep+asana! All in one.
Thanks for sharing this, Praveen.
I am a parks and Recreation professional. I love this idea for your activity pass. NO ONE keeps their card handy.... including me :) Nice suggestion

Agreed, a 2020 version would be handy!
I love Asana and couldn't do without it!

I'm all in on Calengoo... It's an obscure mobile calendar and task app that has been around for a very long time, it is very powerful and the developer is great if you have any issues.
Thanks for sharing this recommendation, Steven.
Thanks, Scott, I use Calengoo to implement your to-dos in the all-day section of the calendar, it allows me to cross them off so I can see what I have completed.
i use Tmetric because it integrates with Asana - keeps you out of worries whether you calculate your time well - it makes it for you)
Thanks for the recommendation!
Stocard is another app you can use for loyalty cards. Assistant.to is not free and has changed their name. Great videos, thanks :)

Hi Scott, great apps. Can you recommend on a finance tracer app / site?
Thanks for the question, Devora. The only finance tracking app that I could recommend would be Mint. While it is aimed at personal use they also have a My Business version.
