My guess is because this video was recorded prior to the YT addition which is a very recent feature in NotebookLM. At least I hope that’s the case and not useless steps due to wrong instructions/lack of knowledge.
@@BlazingZebra I tried this with your video and it does not load: with error message ''cannot be imported. Transcript not available". I havent loaded a youtube video succesfully yet
privacy/confidentiality is a serious issue and everyone has a different approach. i would suggest having a open conversation with them about the risks of not using tools like this. i would not upload social security numbers, wage info etc, but i have a hard time seeing the downside of brainstorming marketing ideas, etc. you may also wanna simply share the privacy policies of the tools you use with the client.
I'm worry this tool in Google hands, this Google company have tendency to "at sudden removing their product", or at sudden"the product update making it more bad rather than more best"

In the first use case, the transcription step using external tool is unnecessary as NotebookLLM now can natively process the information in the UA-cam video
thanks for the vid. i tried nlm to access a 400 pdf. it worked fine at first then slowly decayed in accurate responses and then said it could not respond anymore? any ideas why it stopped working?
i have had similar experiences, i am not exactly sure how to fix this, i feel like there must be a way to reset the chat string, possibly by creating a note.
Figured I would share. I run an industrial CNC router, and it's old. 1999, OS (FANUC) last updated 1994. It took me 2 months with all the manuals to learn how to run this thing, hunt down specific parameters in the 900+ page parameter manual, etc. etc. (we bought it used and I had to figure it out from scratch) Well, I have PDFs of all the manuals. I haphazardly threw them into NotebookLM and I immediately asked it a really granular question about a specific parameters for controlling RS232 Baud rate - immediately answered me, and one of the 3 things it brought up when I asked was the exact answer I was looking for. Excited to find even more uses for this! Thanks for the vid!
The Audio Overview feature is very impressive indeed, I also find that uploading a lot of sources make the "podcast" wierd. The wierdness is when it tries to make connections between the sources. When I upload a paper, and article, an assignment or whatever, the podcast feature is VERY good at finding new (to me hidden) contexts and perspectives.
Thanks for the video. If Notebook LLM could also contribute and manage the content in notebooks, that would be a game changer. For example, if you setup a project plan and NotebookLLM could add content to the plan based on a discussion with it, wow.

Why is she transcribing the videos instead of just uploading the UA-cam URL as a source and allowing notebook LM to do it for you?

Absolutely awesome!!! Many thanks for the effort you put into producing this
Not surprising I guess, but it looks like we are following many of the same YT channels. I can't keep up either. 😄
It is impossible :)
Thanks for this video. What do you suggest answering to a client that is concerned about confidentiality?

There already exists an open source version.

Can you describe your Virtual assistant and how it accesses podcasts and interacts with notebookllm? That sounds very interesting
Oh yes, please, second that question! What an inspiring video, thank you!
Does the "podcast" work in other languages as well?
Aren't these books already trained into the AIs?
