It's a big reason to why I subscribed to this channel back in the day. The feeling of freedom and adventure. One of the few intros I never skip, because it sets the mood just right.
I had to go back to see when he switched back to the old intro, or if I was watching an older video. the new one was nice but the old one is just iconic, that music just belongs to backcountry flying
What you typed made me remember what we use to say in Mountain Biking when I use to race. ( hell pretty much when for any sport ) Broken bones mend, Cuts are temporary and chicks dig scars
A mail route in a 206... I thought you'd only hear of that in Alaska nowadays. Awesome! The mail delivery person must be just as excited to be able to deliver there.
This adventure was the best one in my humble opinion that you have taken us on. I had no idea that there were ranchers living like that in the nation. Thanks so much for taking us along.
I thought I tuned into Vintage Clips channel where I often watch old commercials and intros for inspiration...and then I noticed Trent had just blessed us with the return of the old intro. WORLD PEACE RESTORED! //e
I wanna know how to get a job flying air mail in the Idaho back-country! I visited Penobscot Island Air in Maine once, and they would deliver mail and supplies to the Penobscot Islands in 206's and 207's. It was an incredible experience to ride along with them. Anyway--Great video Trent! I appreciated you leaving the video flying down the canyon in a more real-time mode rather than montage. That was great decision-making by you guys to turn around.
TRENT…..first time I watched your VLog. The most important part of this for me was your approach to aviation safety while in the back country. But personally, what your said about being an open, honest person and how you supported your friend is crucial. That’s how I see life and I’ve been criticized for that one attribute in my life many times. I see that as an uncommon strength that’s rare especially in males. Thank you for sharing that part of yourself and I hope you never waiver from that.
I retract my comment from the last video - LUKE is the luckiest man on the planet!! WOW is that place STUNNING!!! American Dream indeed! Just amazing!! What a beautiful neighborhood - love the neighbors, lol! My kind of living right there! Glad your buddy is ok physically. That is a definite way to ruin a good day. I can remember my dirt bike and ATV days - whenever I broke something it was heartbreaking to end a great day short. Always a great day when nobody gets hurt, though. AWESOME vid, Trent! I think you could film 5 years worth of videos in your area and it would never be old or boring.
Trent - amazing vid as usual. Seeing the places you fly into gives me, here in the UK, such an amazing insight into the USA, it’s people and their way of life. So many massive differences, not least the sheer scale and beauty of your homeland. Awesome stuff, thanks.
Was on day 5 of 7 floating the Middle Fork of the Salmon river a few weeks back, in the midst of enjoying the experience, looked up and saw your plane fly over. Thanks for that, you knew I was out of service, had been away from the channel and brought it in for us. ‘Preciate. Looked like y’all were having fun. Tight lines.
Crap happens. Had a major collar bone break - missed judged a path that turned out to be a 10ft drop. Fun bouncy vehicle ride to the hospital. Months off of work and still a large 'lump' in the right collar bone area. (cannot miss it) Learned I wasn't as young as I use to be. Forbidden by the 'boss' to ride anything with less then 4 wheels. (now that racing 4 wheeler was great - clocked at 80mph but that was another story). Thank you for the video - take care - be safe. (loved the old intro was back - missed it)
gotta say Trent, ive only been here (a subscriber to your channel) for a few months, but that intro gets me every time. i absolutely love it. Im glad you decided to throw it in your videos from time to time and not get rid of it completely.
If I'm not mistaken, the mail route is contracted to Arnold Aviation in Cascade, ID. These pilots have some of the highest backcountry times in the world.
Yup, I flew into Sulphur Creek as a child with Arnold himself in a 185. These days I work for an alcohol distributor in Idaho and we get weekly invoices from Arnold Aviation to deliver our product on their route.
Reminds me so much of the property my in-laws had up in that area (about 40 miles ENE of Johnson Creek strip off Panther Creek Rd), fun to see it again. I live a bit further north in ID now, but drive through McCall occasionally. The air mail route also reminds me of when I was a kid living remote in Alaska and having the same thing. Nothing was more music to the ears than the sound of that Beaver (on floats as it should be) coming in for a landing; mail, groceries, confirmation that the outside world still existed.... I still get tears in my eyes when I hear a Beaver.
Hi Trent, That was a beautiful place to fly to. Well done on the editing. You always put people and their feelings first before content which is a great thing to do. That's why you have all the friends you have and the followers you have. Take care, Be safe.
Beautiful adventures. Thanks for sharing. Trent some guys crash many times and others never prang. Like a cop, some never shoot in anger, others often. Murphy decides after you train and do your checks. Always expect the unexpected.
So glad your buddy was not injured always sad to hear of bent aircraft of any kind and it was still able to fly out, as always Trent awesome video of the back country. Fair winds and blue skies till the next video
We land gliders into random farmer fields or airstrips often, and you never know when you're going to hit a hole, or a rock, or a stick. There's no way you can see everything before landing. It's just a bit of bad luck sometimes. And we definitely can't do a go around :)
My brain is screaming at how much fun that looks! I want to know Luke, and Jeff! Pioneer living! What a dream adventure. BTW, got my ‘I ❤️ air planes’ hat…awesome!
Hands down some of the best airplane content on UA-cam. I remember my dad flying into those strips as a kid in a De Havilland Beaver, but wouldn't take me due to the risk factor back in the 80's. He and his Pilot friends took their wives with them and they landed and didn't know if they would make it out, because of the wind change and not being able to take off into the wind. They decided to eliminate whatever weight they could in the plane. They got ready to take off and my mom walked over carrying a big sized rock in her hands and loaded up into the Beaver. My dad said what are you doing? you can't take that its extra weight. She looked him in the eye and said this rock will have a dual purpose. If we make it out of this canyon I will have something to remember what a horrible decision you made to land here, and if we crash and we live I will use it to knock you out again.
Ive hunted right on that piece of property back behind that runway at Shepp Ranch. We would be up on the hills and hear the mail plane come in and land. Awesome
This is the coolest, thank you for sharing! You were so responsible and respectful about your friends happenings. Still it’s great to know this is real life and crap happens! People need to know these things can and will happen from time to time. Beautiful country you guys were in absolutely amazing! Also the guy with the airboat what a set up and life, good to see intriguing neat people!!
Trent I wish you would fly into Arnold Aviation & interview the mailman & his mechanic. They are wicked cool people, & your viewers would enjoy their history. That area of Idaho is amazing & the ranches are spectacular.! Thanks for reminding me how beautiful it is.
I agree. Walt is a great pilot that does most of the flying into our place. He has a great personality and people look forward to seeing him every week.
Hey Trent... Thanks for the video , your buddy is lucky in many ways and has a good and honorable friend in you!! Possibly in due time he might decide to share his experience so that others might gain a little knowledge! Thanks again and Blue Skies brotherman!
Don’t feel bad about not posting others bad days! I have lots of stuff my friends wouldn’t want published. A million subscribers can’t replace one friend 🤠 Also, loved the mule at the end! Thought you may have done that just for me.
With planes, cars, heck, even boats and buildings, things break. As long as everyone involved is okay, then it's fine. I'm glad your friend is doing okay despite having his plane in a little less then perfect condition.
Elk on the runway…doesn’t happen often here in Georgia😀. Absolutely beautiful country and great flying. I’m surprised metal doesn’t get bent more often seeing where you guys land sometimes. It’s a great testament to your skill and planes.
I have spent many nights at Shepp Ranch years ago. They have elected to discontinue their guiding services. One of the most beautiful places on earth. Thanks for the stroll down memory lane Trent.
If you ever wanna go fishing in McCall there is a pond at the end of the runway that’s got rainbow trout in it. You just have to cut through the cow pasture which is allowed and the pond is right there.
Love this. For some reason I feel there will be A few more Californians moving to Idaho after watching this video. Most Idahoans don't know how good they have it.
That old intro just puts a smile on my face man.
you're so damn right, that's exactly what i thought too..
Yeah me too!
It's a big reason to why I subscribed to this channel back in the day. The feeling of freedom and adventure. One of the few intros I never skip, because it sets the mood just right.
yassss
I had to go back to see when he switched back to the old intro, or if I was watching an older video.
the new one was nice but the old one is just iconic, that music just belongs to backcountry flying
Bent metal can be fixed, pride can be mended, going home safe... PRICELESS!!
Well said my friend.
What you typed made me remember what we use to say in Mountain Biking when I use to race. ( hell pretty much when for any sport ) Broken bones mend, Cuts are temporary and chicks dig scars
Absolutely!
Hear hear!
A mail route in a 206... I thought you'd only hear of that in Alaska nowadays. Awesome! The mail delivery person must be just as excited to be able to deliver there.
Who does airmail still
If this channel isn't inspiration to make your life awesome, idk what is! Keep up the good work Trent, keep on liiiiiiving
Thanks Seth!!
Truth! Excellent content!
You need money to make life inspirational
much respect for not wanting to put your friends on the spot, you are a real friend.
Good to see the old intro again, with a twist
This adventure was the best one in my humble opinion that you have taken us on. I had no idea that there were ranchers living like that in the nation. Thanks so much for taking us along.
It’s midnight in Japan. Trent posts a video.
Me: “Sleep? Who needs sleep?”
I thought I tuned into Vintage Clips channel where I often watch old commercials and intros for inspiration...and then I noticed Trent had just blessed us with the return of the old intro. WORLD PEACE RESTORED! //e
Thank You, I missed the old intro. It just feels good.
The old intro is STILL. THE. BEST. EVER!
Just sayin
Oh dang, old Introoooooo! I agree with Experimental Aircraft Channel; good way to start the day!

Very rare indeed, Respect
I missed the old intro
Well.. TGIF to you! Good way to start off the day! :-)
As my friend Scott says...Same planet, different world.
I need a feature length Trent video. The music selection just pull it all together so well!
Every video I watch from him I notice how fantastic his soundtracks are! Glad Im not alone!
He could make a 2.5 hour movie of this, and I'd wager 90+ percent of people would watch the whole thing uninterrupted. I certainly would!
Old intro gets me every time bud. Classic Palmer…..😎👍
So interesting to see how people live out there!
WOW!
Great job Trent!👍👍👍

completely respect the way you tell your own story and not tell someone elses story.
Trent - amazing vid as usual. Seeing the places you fly into gives me, here in the UK, such an amazing insight into the USA, it’s people and their way of life. So many massive differences, not least the sheer scale and beauty of your homeland. Awesome stuff, thanks.
Couldn’t have said it any better. 👏😎👍

The old intro, ..both are good.
That’s some sweet places. Thank you by the way for not blasting someone’s bad day with a plane, that stuff drives me nutts. Stay safe!
Everytime i see the old intro, it always feels new. 🤩Love it
Trent you are living my dream. Hope to make it where you are one day
Awesome video Trent, loving this mini series, some of these places are a dream
I love seeing the old intro. Personally, I prefer the music in it to the newer one.
What a fantastic place to fly. You have some very special friends who share your love of flying. Thanks for taking us along.
Crap happens. Had a major collar bone break - missed judged a path that turned out to be a 10ft drop. Fun bouncy vehicle ride to the hospital. Awesome...thanks for taking us along!
You did it, Trent! You made thousands eat their heart out!!!
HOW COOL!!!
Awesome. Of-the-grid, living the dream. Plus, the airstrips? Wow....just perfect.
gotta say Trent, ive only been here (a subscriber to your channel) for a few months, but that intro gets me every time. i absolutely love it. Im glad you decided to throw it in your videos from time to time and not get rid of it completely.
best intro by far, the song is imprinted in my brain.
dam I love your videos bro!

You have out done yourself with this two part video, music is phenomenal, visuals are spectacular and storytelling is engaging. Well done.
That entire area is stunning. Your life is a dream.
What beautiful country, fantastic way to spend Friday, jealous because I have to go to work.
Those mountain homes with airstrips are beyond a dream. Wow....
These last two videos have been amazing. Please keep showing the beautiful ranches!
Oh man, to be younger! I'd LOVE that off grid lifestyle! Thnx for sharing your adventures Trent!
Fantastic video, so far away from the world I live in. Utterly beautiful.
Hi Trent,
That was a beautiful place to fly to. Well done on the editing. You always put people and their feelings first before content which is a great thing to do. That's why you have all the friends you have and the followers you have.
Take care,
Be safe.
Enjoy your videos so much, thanks for taking us along for the ride

Sometimes, shit happens. And you just gotta roll with it. Hope your buddy is up and flying again soon. Another great vid, Trent, thank you !

How the heck do you get back in the air?
My brain is screaming at how much fun that looks! I want to know Luke, and Jeff! Pioneer living! What a dream adventure.

Thank you so much. It’s great to see you guys finally getting back to all you love and taking me along. Say hi to.Haley for me.
Here forever,
Gary
Ive hunted right on that piece of property back behind that runway at Shepp Ranch. We would be up on the hills and hear the mail plane come in and land. Awesome
One of the best videos in while, sorry to hear about your mate. Hope all is well

Wow! I am from germany and I am sooo impressed about your adventures! I would love to fly as freely as you guys.
Hey Trent... Thanks for the video , your buddy is lucky in many ways and has a good and honorable friend in you!! Possibly in due time he might decide to share his experience so that others might gain a little knowledge! Thanks again and Blue Skies brotherman!
Very cool indeed. Hope it’s not too bad a fix for your buddy.
As you well know Trent, you and the others are very lucky dudes -- I always enjoy the vicarious pleasure of your flights and trips. Stay safe.
Every video that I watch from you makes me need to be a pilot even more
Another video of inspiration to just keep my head down and save for instrument training
Loved the video and loved that first ranch with the beautiful grass strip!
Stuff happens.....Thanks Trent....Fly safe
Jolly good time watching your videos. keep on producing.
Oh man, now I want to see a video on this airmail, routes, the pilot, etc. Very cool experiences all around and glad everyone gets to fly another day.
Don’t feel bad about not posting others bad days! I have lots of stuff my friends wouldn’t want published.
A million subscribers can’t replace one friend 🤠
Also, loved the mule at the end! Thought you may have done that just for me.
It’s better to have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.🤔
Like seeing the old intro! 👍👍👍
This is my favorite part! Thanks!
With planes, cars, heck, even boats and buildings, things break. As long as everyone involved is okay, then it's fine. I'm glad your friend is doing okay despite having his plane in a little less then perfect condition.
Ha! My Aunt and Uncle used to Caretake Shep Ranch through the winter.....cool vid!
That is one of my favorite videos Trent❤
What an awesome part of the States. Nice vid Trent
Great video, Trent. It's interesting listening to the comms in the canyon. That's a lot of planes to keep track of in a pretty small space!
That is beautiful country!
The song is dope at the end! I found the name: Lo-Fi by Bronze Radio Return
Elk on the runway…doesn’t happen often here in Georgia😀. Absolutely beautiful country and great flying. I’m surprised metal doesn’t get bent more often seeing where you guys land sometimes. It’s a great testament to your skill and planes.
Any landing you can walk away from is a good one, and any landing where you can reuse the plane is a great one.
Good vibes in your posts Trent. Thanks for sharing
Please put more music like this into your videos! I know there can be copyright issues but, oh man, I loved the vibe.
I have spent many nights at Shepp Ranch years ago. They have elected to discontinue their guiding services. One of the most beautiful places on earth. Thanks for the stroll down memory lane Trent.
Andrew the new owner is an awesome guy! He has updated a lot of things there.
If you ever wanna go fishing in McCall there is a pond at the end of the runway that’s got rainbow trout in it. You just have to cut through the cow pasture which is allowed and the pond is right there.
Glad your friend is okay! Dings & dents can be fixed, ego & pride mended!
Nice video Trent, well produced and the music is great. Love the back country vids! ;)
Trent - Nice work as usual. I gotta tell you though, I prefer the old intro; it’s just better. Thanks again.
You and Mike petty and my favorite pilots to watch.
Just something about that old intro... idk why but I still love it 😀
Thanks for the insight to bush flying
Fly fishing lessons are still free Trent! Chuckle, another great video. And the old into is still pretty cool man.
Freaking Cool Places Trent. Tks for sharing.
Trent you have great moral filters, glad to hear your friend is ok in spite of stuff happens.
Great view !!!
Always so good Trent, ... Thanks for sharing!
Love this. For some reason I feel there will be A few more Californians moving to Idaho after watching this video. Most Idahoans don't know how good they have it.
Why ruin another state? Ruining Colorado wasnt enough!
Man those ranch people are stacked
