By the way the other houses I have so far purchased at Michaels were the Agatha‘s apothecary which I purchased but then returned when I found the Groom Room building which has that fantastic strobe lighting as well as I also purchased the Headstone Mill Brewery. My main problem now is which ones to keep and which ones to return in a hurry so I treat Michael’s appropriately as a customer and make sure I get them back in time for some other fortunate person to locate them at a great discount at Michael’s before Halloween. My name is Tim Fremuth and I’m a brand new subscriber to your spooky village UA-cam site. Extremely pleased to watch your videos because you are spot on with your reviews and really assist us customers in judging weather these products are good fits or not for our collection. I’ve been away from the hobby for quite a while maybe over five years. I was into the hobby when I collected the Tunnel of terror and the Funhouse that had a really large Frankenstein in the middle set top center of the building. I’m over 65 now so don’t have much room in the house for this frivolity what with having three grandchildren that are too young to appreciate it and my wife that likes the lighting but doesn’t appreciate too much the repetitive sound of the soundtracks. Hopefully this spooky Haunted House called Black Raven Manor will really be be the ticket to a good soundtrack that my wife will be pleased to hear in the background for short periods of time. You have a very wonderful personable and professional delivery on all of your reviews that I’ve seen thus far and you remind me of my oldest son who’s in the broadcasting field of sports you both are so personable and professional and friendly in your delivery that it really entices the audience to pay attention and to appreciate everything you have to offer. Keep up the great work and I’ll leave you some more nice comments on a few of the other products that I have viewed some of which I currently own by way of tremendous more than 50% off discounts at Michael’s and others that I’ve decided we’re just too great to pass up so I purchased two off of eBay which I am waiting to receive. Ok I’m obsessed with ravens and I love haunted houses so this one is perfect for me!
My only complaint is I wish they had raven sounds since they are flying overhead.. that being said it’s late and my sound isn’t up loud so maybe it’s there and I couldn’t hear it but I would love for the raven caws to be forefront and the eerie music in the back as a setting. Great job!
That's a great piece of feedback and it is kind of surprising that they aren't!

i miss my last house on the left, ours ended up having a shot motor and one of the main ghost scene stopped spinning, pretty sad but in the end you just gotta deal with it.
My daughter picked this one up and it really is awesome! I picked up the graveyard and also the pumpkin farm. I just started collecting last year with the Tilt N Hurl, absolutely love that one!
Another great review! My husband loves this haunted house & I'm glad he added it to his small Spooky Town. We bought it with our 30% off coupon--along with Jack's Pumpkin Farm--we figured these two pieces would just fly off the shelves

I love this one 😩 I’m so happy to have it! I think it looks so good. I wasn’t a fan of it when I first saw it online cause the wires on top were off putting to me, but once I saw it lit up & heard the soundtrack I fell in love 😆 I’m excited to set up my little spooky town this year 😊 I even got some accessories from giftspice to go along. Great review, and I love this piece!! It will go great in my abandoned haunted house section of my display! My specific one came in perfect condition, luckily for me! I do agree that this will become a very coveted piece in the following years, just like hollowgraves manor, the last house on the left, and other houses of this type! Haven’t quite decided my rankings of pieces this year yet, but the more I look at the new 2020 releases the more one of them stands out to me... I will be able to decide soon though! Great Review Doug! Love this house and I agree that it will become a classic. Wish mine looked as perfect as yours though. I have a long string of glue inside the window and the ravens were a mess! I had it checked in store too but didn't notice the glue in the store lighting. Because of the way the ravens are packed the clerk didn't want to open them up. Mistake! Some were glued together, a few were upside down and the rest weren't "flying" properly. Also two wires are not evenly curved like the others. Took some time to fix the ravens but it's impossible to get the wire curve adjusted. I'm debating on whether I will take mine back for an exchange, as I have several others with problems that need to be replaced and it will be quite the production, etc. So I recommend that the ravens get checked in store before buying! Overall though it's a great piece and lighting is superb! Also love the sound track, but agree with Aloholara that adding ravens would have been the perfect touch!
Ugh sounds like you got a lemon. I hope you just take it back and exchange- no need to keep it if it isn't right.
@@SpookyVillages Yes, I did just that this afternoon! Also exchanged Jack's Pumpkin Farm and Esmeralda's Balloon Rides. Quite the production as I had to open up 8 boxes to exchange 3 items. Wow, my Michael's (in Canada) must have gotten a "seconds" shipment! :-)
I still remember my first lemax at hobby lobby (RIP. Pun intended) I got the monster mash house, and the mine with the runaway rail car (actual names escape me currently) Glad we still have Michael's to sell it.
This piece is fantastic, might have to dig online to see if anyone's still selling it.

Doug, love the video, I always give a thumbs up. You convinced me to buy this one. I have one request for the videos if you feel like it, it would be nice if you commented on how loud or quiet the moving mechanisms are, with the music off of course, i find some to be pretty loud. Just an idea, it would be nice in the reviews forthcoming. Also since Michaels isn't accepting competitor coupons, i used an app called Raise (there are many other apps as well) to buy gift cards at a big discount, i picked some up a long while ago when there was a great discount and used them just now on Raven Manor. Easy to use on their website or in store. Just a tip. Right now the discount isn't much on raise since gift cards are all but dead, but check back from time to time on your favorite app. I also save a ton of money at Starbucks doing this (10-15% usually). My Raven Manor is kinda on the loud side when the soundtrack isn't playing, which is super annoying. I have to figure out if it's normal or if I should exchange it.

let's hope those coupons start coming soon. At least 1 good one would be nice. I think these pieces will stick around a lot longer this year due to the prices, so maybe some will be around when the heavy discounting starts

It's a great piece but at that price you can always wait til next year and get it from an online retailer as you know this one will be around for a bit
Last year, Michaels had a buy-one-get-one-free going in Canada. We're hoping that deal happens again. That said, my husband and I bought this one with the 30% coupon too...worried they'd all be gone! (BTW, love The Hip)

Just bought this one and one of the pumpkins in the front doesn’t light up! Any idea how one could go about fixing it?!
This DOES look pretty darn cool. The soundtrack is perfect and the spinning ghosts inside are one of the best I've seen in any Lemax Spooky Town. Crowley Hall is still my fav' though.

@@SpookyVillages Well, I didn't either, but I saw it on line and saw a short video clip. HAD to have it ASAP and saw a decent deal. The lighting effects are amazing. Has vol control for the soundtrack. The sound is OK. I like the idea of it, I just think the audio quality of the soundtrack isn't as clear as it should be, I really like it for the lighting effects. This Lemax stuff blows my mind with the details.

Doug, do you have any plans to expand the channel during the haunt season to explore and review your local corn mazes, haunted houses, etc?
Rick, I would like to do that eventually but with everything going on this year, I probably won't be out at haunts. Heck, I dunno if anyone will be out at haunts! It is definitely something I'd like to do though

Hi Josh, that's how it's been for awhile now. There are various other retailers that sell these buildings so Lemax doesn't sell everything at one store, even if the vast majority are at Michaels each year. The rest of the lineup can be found online at Gift Spice, Ehobbytools or other dealers. Brick and mortar, if you have a Menards nearby they have Pit and Pendulum this year
Spooky Villages do you know which retailers sell the others I’m in upstate ny all I know is michaels also who sells dept 56 pieces I can’t find them anywhere?
The fact that you can see the top of the pole (above the ghosts) is unfortunate. The low-key soundtrack is definitely a plus, though.
Opened mine up and unfortunately you can see the wires inside and the ghosts actually bump into them when they spin around. Going to have to swap it out and hopefully have better luck.

Where do you get your coupons to purchase these?
Sadly, I had a 20 percent off and just sucked it up so I could get the reviews out. I would've waited had I not had a channel but that's not part of the game for me, sadly. Due to the costs though these are the only buildings I'm buying this year. Budget is tapped. Good luck on your purchases!

Still not the greatest fan of the ghosts. But they do appear less shiny in this video as compared to the lemax video. I'll have to see it irl to decide on this one
The ghosts don’t actually look as overpowering as in the video. The lighting makes them look more muted with a light purple glow. It looks really cool. There is a bit of a shine to it but you’d have to be pretty close to notice it.
