I am a new fan of your channel and love your videos so far! Thanks for the tips, especially the Cruise Mapper tip!! I have been on several Mediterranian cruises but have never thought of that one and it seems super useful to know how many ships will be in port on the same day.
Definitely some really solid pointers there guys. I have a ten night cruise booked at the tail end of the season (1st-11th Nov) and there are some great advantages to this. It's a little cooler, it's definitely quieter, for 7 of the ports we are the only ship in town. One tip for anyone travelling to Europe, if you're going to get cash out, do it from a proper bank ATM - DO NOT TOUCH EURONET ATMS. They are a privately owned network which have absolutely horrendous fees and exchange rates. Lastly, I'd agree it's super worthwhile having data when ashore. Fortunately my plan from the UK (and those of most Europeans) will include the ability to use your plan anywhere in Europe but for those of you coming from abroad an ESIM is definitely worthwhile if your phone is compatible. I've used Airalo in Asia previously and would 💯% recommend as well.
Such amazing tips! Definitely stuff someone who has never traveled to Europe or the Mediterranean would never consider. I can see how $$ adds up quickly. We got the Plus pkg on Princess (will be our first time with them) as it was only about $1000 CAD difference from their standard fare & it includes drinks, some extra dining, wifi ,gratuities & more.Probably wouldn’t get the drink pkg otherwise on this itinerary, agree 100%.

I was wondering if I could cancel my ship wifi. Unfortunately, we are not diamond yet. Looked for your sandels on Shein and didn't find them but love them!
We only used the eSIM when we were docked just to be safe. But it was kind of nice having the break from the phones when we got back to the ship too a bit amid a forced tech vacation! Great tips Ryan and Kala! I will be on the ship next month doing the Greece and Croatia itinerary. Did you buy the Zoom wifi package or were you able to use your esim on the ship between ports since the ship is near land?
We did not get the wifi package. We get 1 day each of free wifi being diamond members. So we used those and then other days we just used the e sim on land and turned our phones on airplane mode afterwards! It was nice to disconnect a bit lol
