Great video, as always. When we went on the Eclipse (sister ship) we were lucky enough to have a winning bid to upgrade to an Aqua class cabin. That gave us the ability eat at Blu, which has a menu that emphasizes fresh / healthy eating. We loved it. Also on food - the buffet was open 10 PM - 1 AM, so there lots options other than pizza for late night snacks.

Can you play pickleball on the sports court? Should I bring my paddle? 😀

We are looking at doing Santorini Oia on our own. Did you guys book ahead for water taxi and the bus transportation? Our cruise leaves at 8:30 pm and hoping we can fit it in doing it all ourselfes

There's a cruise type for everyone but agree no drink by the pool is a negative , your on vacation! Want to feel chilled laid back vibe! Traveling any way cruise fly drive during holidays is not worth money and hassles and lots of kids and too much money ,

Hi Ryan & Kala - the power strip rule is fairly new with Royal, not sure about Celebrity. You can have a power port if only USB ports, but no 120V plugs. We are going to try Celebrity this summer, Solstice going to Alaska. Kinda disappointed to hear bad things about their pizza, I love Sorentos on Royal. We cruised on Harmony OTS for Thanksgiving, the biggest downside was all the teenagers, you could never get a hot tub on the pool deck.

Thanks for the review! I was on Silhouette's sister ship Reflection back in May 2024. It was a short 4-night cruise (Nassau, Coco Cay, Sea Day), as well. I loved the Solarium, too, but wished the Hot Tubs were bigger and the water was hotter. (Also, I was able to drink my beverages in the Solarium pool, as long as it wasn't in a glass container. The drink runners would take my order pool-side, and bring it to me in the pool. Most people set their drinks on the wooden step on the edges of the pool. I'll see if this has changed on the next cruise with them.) The ship itself was very nice. Like you said about the Silhouette, it was an older ship but didn't look or feel old. I really enjoyed the vibe of the bars, restaurants, and the ship as a whole. I'm booked on the Reflection (again) in May 2025 for a 6-night cruise, but a different itinerary (Grand Cayman, Jamaica, Bimini, and 2 Sea Days). I look forward to your Norwegian vlogs, as I haven't cruised with them yet, but have a Christmas cruise booked with them Dec 2026 on the Getaway. And as always, Happy Cruising!! ✌🚢

I’m not a huge cruiser (I want to be I just don’t have the money lol) but I have been on 4 Disney cruises with my family and our 5th Disney cruise on the Treasure in October! DCL doesn’t have any drink packages (soda tea and coffee are included) but their drink prices aren’t too bad. Yeah every bar will have an expensive specialty drink, but for the most part the drinks are around $10-18 and they also have a different drink of the day everyday that is around $5-6

We have done Christmas in a cruise. Love it! It becomes a family cruise.

Thanks for all the info. I’m so ready for a pop fizz on our Reflection cruise in April! We’re a bit nervous about making the leap from RC to Celebrity, but your videos give us hope! (Just FYI, bocce ball doesn’t use sticks.)

Although I am an avid Cruiser, I do NOT Cruise during the Christmas and New Year's holiday season. Besides the Cruise Lines generally increasing the rates to make more of a profit, everyone else does the SAME THING!! Also, there is an increase of colds, flu, COVID, coughs during the holiday season, which means your "risk" of catching something on the ship, in the airplane cabin or in the airport increases exponentially. The population in general is more "healthy" during the rest of the year. P.S.: There were NUMEROUS Norovirus outbreaks on multiple Cruise Lines this past holiday season. Keep up the great work. 😎⛹️‍♀️🤸‍♂️🚴‍♂️

Thanks for the lovely informative video. My first Cruise is coming up next month and I am doing the came itinerary you guys did. I think I will stay away from the drinks and non-alcoholic drink package as I will they are way too highly priced. I am not that big on drinks. Hope they offer free drinks or non-alcoholic drinks free of charge when on lunch or dinner!

Hey guys, ..... I don't know what "Dining period," ..... Fixed dinning or Anytime dinning, ..... you are going to, but word to the wise, the majority of the Cruising population is choosing to go to "Anytime dinning," therefore the dinning room gets bogged down trying to fill the customers' requests for food and drink. RECOMMENDATION: If you are not going to "Fixed or Set Dinning," you may want to consider it. I have spoken to multiple Maitrede's on 3 different Cruise Lines and they all informed me that you will absolutely get in and out of the dinning room if you go to "Fixed/Set Dinning." Keep up the great work. 😎⛹️‍♀️🤸‍♂️🚴‍♂️

Loved that y'all went on Celebrity. You give the exact kind of content and details that hubby and I love. We are going on the Beyond in April and we are sooo excited!! We also love when you travel with your parents. I love your mom and her rockin out at the silent disco. I think we could be friends!!! We did a 10 night on Eclipse and we were at The World Class bar every night! All of their drinks are made with fresh ingredients, so when I asked for a cosmo, the bartender said he makes it with fresh blueberries instead of cranberry juice. It was amazing! The two bartenders that worked there were the best! We gave them a good tip at the end of the cruise and they were so worth it. We will be on Silhouette next month for the 3rd annual Tampa Bay Buc’s cruise 🏴‍☠️and will definitely go to The World Class bar!

You missed the Cafe Al Baccio! THEE coffee spot Celebrity. It's a must visit.

My hubby and I honeymooned 38 years ago on a cruise. This will be my first 8-day cruise in that long. I’m looking forward to rocking on the Sky deck with those views while I cross stitch. A friend and I will be sharing a Sky Veranda room, I think it’s called on the 12th deck where the pools are. I can’t wait! Thank you for all of your informative videos and tours. Happy cruising! 🎉

If you enjoyed the Silhouette, you are going to love the Xcel. The Edge class ships are amazing!

You were so unlucky with the weather this time! We love Celebrity and have cruised with them 3 times. We can thoroughly recommend the Celebrity Solstice. The food and service is amazing and the pizza is great!

Royal has got NO power bars about a year ago

My experience on carnival ships is that you can have drinks on the edges of the pools as long as it’s not in a glass club. That was at least the rule last June. Our next cruise is in April so I’ll see if has changed

Carnival has the best prosciutto, pepperoni, and margarita pizza. Their prosciutto pizza has the best crust and flavor at sea.

Thanks for the insight! I'm doing a four-day cruise on the Utopia in just a few weeks. I intend to stay on board while we're in Nassau AND Coco Cay (I've been there several times and have been to the Hideaway once and Coco Beach Club twice) - I know exactly what you mean about "Cats in Boots"! I don't know if you've cruised on the Icon, but their adults-only Hideaway pool/bar/sunbathing area on board is just like a Vegas pool party, complete with nonstop "Cats in Boots." It's hard to find a quiet space on that ship. That's why I'm looking forward to enjoying the adults-only Solarium on the Utopia - especially on the port days!!!

IT's worth it for me cause you can't drink all day if you don't start first thing in the AM with a sunrise walk around the deck with a Bloody Mary and then a prosecco at breakfast!!

Just like you guys I’m Diamond with Royal and I’m having a hard time deciding to “cheat” and try Carnival Celebration with my wife and 2 girls. I don’t feel like repeating a Royal ship and Icon is just way out of the Budget. Now that you have tried Carnival a few times and went back to Royal, would you recommend me to try something new or to stay with Royal?
