I love how Wayne gets a right into it. He doesn’t talk about his pregnant cat or politics for 20 minutes before getting to the point.
Omg so true
lol….me too
Haha I just came here to say the same thing! 😆 Love ya Wayne! I could listen to you for hours but I love that you get right into it❤️
I mean, I’d love him mentioning his pregnant cat tbh😅
Great point!
Your opinion is GOLD to me Wayne! I have been watching you for years and your tutorials have taught me everything I know about makeup. Thank you!
The kind of reviews I like. Straight to the point without the fluff.
Can you recommend a lightweight foundation for dry skin that will not look like a foundation was used but at the same time gives a dewy look.
What shade of the RCMA are you wearing?!
What are your thoughts about huda beauty foundation?
Thank you❤️
My holy grail wasn't mentioned, but I love Fenty.
None of the foundation links work for me 🤷♀️
Short and sweet! Not all of us have 45 minutes to watch a video. Wayne is always to the point, serious and professional!
or do we WANT to watch 45 min of makeup
Love seeing some of those old recommendations still going strong to this day. Your videos are always a breath of fresh air. Them being short is the reason I always watch them. I wish YT content could be more straight to the point like they used to before creators were incentivized to reach that 10 minute or more mark.
Wayne’s annual “best of” videos are the videos I wait for all year 😄😍
Love Mac Face & Body. Picked mine up at an outlet for $16. The color match was so perfect the lady trying it on me couldn’t tell if there was anything on my skin or not.
My favorite is Estee Lauder's double wear. Have been using it 10+ years.
It's amazing. I actually wanted to try the "hydrating version they have but I put one on my hand yesterday..the one in the tube...forget what it's called .. but the double wear still looked more skin like.
I have dry skin. Like DRY flakey shabby sometimes (I'm a picker...I know...lol) But it still just does such a good job.
I just have to have a few shades of it because none of them seem to be exact but it's worth it.
@@denise8791 I have the same, dry flaky skin.
Quick and to the point, I never hesitate to watch you even if I'm in a rush. Short video full of years worth of real experience information.
The Clinique even better make up has been looking so good on me this year. Highly suggest it! It also mixes well with the elf halo glow.
Wayne, are you old enough to remember when Prescriptives used to blend custom foundations and I think powder too? And then, way back when, Charles if the Ritz used to blend custom powders.
OMG, I loved Prescriptives foundation. I haven't been able to color match since they were discontinued.
😊yes!!!!😊😊😊
Me either@@kellyroyds5040
Oh my! You just sent me waaaaaay back!
My mother used chales of the rite from posh shop in Belfast it was gorgeous
Estée Lauder double wear my holy grail. My skin looks better when I wear it!
Absolutely! It works really well with Laura Mercier pressed powder as well 🥰
It made my skin break out so badly.
@@Natalie27552 which ingredient would do that? First time I have heard it broke out anyone’s skin. I have rosacea and super sensitive skin and it never bothers my skin. Thank heavens!
I always love the intro " well hey everyone " but in such a sweet and warm way 🎉❤Love you Wayne , all the way from Greece 🇬🇷 ❤🎉🎉
Thank you, Wayne!💚
Not sure if you've told us about the best drug store foundations yet, but if not, that would be helpful 😊
Please can you do drugstore version? 🙏
He recommended makeup forever which is drugstore x
Looool apologies just saw the price😫 I don’t remember them being so expensive!
My holy grail Estée Lauder double wear. I have been using it for 15 years, I have tried so many foundations and I come back to ELDW. Even though my skin has changed and it’s not oily I prepped my skin and my foundation looks amazing.
What is best for mature skin and large pores?
I wonder if you have tried Lisa Eldridge’s seamless skin foundation, that is in my opinion the best on the market right now …
I love that foundation with my whole heart.
I am in my 50's with skin texture/combination skin, lines, pores, etc and I find the only foundation that works for me is Pat McGrath, you can build up the coverage to near medium without texture etc. I really want to try the make up forever though that you recommend. I've tried C Tilbury but find they leave a textured result for me despite trying application with brush and sponge. Dior and lancome seem excellent too... Please would you do a masterclass on RCMA foundation application, I've watched tutorials on youtube but still can't get it to spread evenly without texture.
I’m the same, 54, combination skin with large pores, PMG works and Chantecaille Future Skin which is a gel, and Jones Road WTF but only with NO moisturiser at all and Monika Blunder. Rest get too cakey - foundation like :)
Luminous Armani silk is amazing. Perfection in a bottle. Easy to use and great on any age of skin. Love the Charlotte Tilbury too. In my mind it’s her best. Westman atelier is lovely
What cover the armani one offers ?
@@md55773 Light to medium, can build up by layering
@@md55773 it’s amazing because you can’t see it on the skin. It’s gives medium coverage easily. You can build it up more but there is no need because its satiny finish smooths everything out so you don’t need much at all. It’s so easy to work with. I can use my fingers and it looks perfect. It’s at the top of best foundations if you go to Sephora or other stores.
Makeup For Ever broke me out. I love NARS but it seemed to settle in my very mature pores, Forever Dior seems to cover the best for me as well as Chanel. Definetly some on your list I will try in 2024. Everyone has a different experience and very much appreciate your recommendations. Thank you!
Agreed. I get the most compliments when I wear Forever Matte or Chanel Ultra Le Teint. I have oily skin and these hold up better than Nars and have much more of a flawless finish on my skin!
@@tas9581 My skin can be a bit dry but I moistuize like crazy especially living here in Colorado. I am going to try a few of these to see how they work on my skin.
NARS settled into my lines & pores too. 😢
I’ve been using the Bare Minerals foundation for over 10 years now, I’m 64. I’m still using it and still loving it. I don’t use very much as I don’t need much coverage, I tend to concentrate more on concealer, the Bobbi Brown full coverage suites me, and I swear by the Aldi dupe for Yves Saint Laurent touché eclet. I just want to say thank you Wayne for all your fantastic make up tutorials, you are my go to make up guru. I just revisited one of your eye make up tutorials for mature eyes, and OMG, it really works. I’ve been trying to make my green eyes pop, using mad colours suggested by other UA-camrs, but I’m back to the mid browns for the crease, and a lovely shimmer on my lids, with a darker shade for the outside corners, perfect. Thank you 🤩
I too always go back to bare minerals. To me, nothing looks as good. 😃
Same!! I'm always curious to try new foundations and I make myself finish them but out of the many I've used Bareminerals original still looks the best and is my no1 ❤
is Bare Minerals for dry skin I need something with moisturizer. I use CC and love it, Never tried Bare Minerals
I’ve used their liquid pro one for years and love it. I never see it given any love on makeup channels. i’ve tried so many others and i always go back to it, thx to a rec by an ulta employee.
Can we have a best drugstore foundation for mature skin... less on a budget please!!!
I love my Makeup Forever HD foundation! I recently tried the Maybelline Super Stay Skin Tint and I must say…. IT IS AMAZING!!
I get so many compliments when I wear the Maybelline Skin Tint. It’s so beautiful on my skin and lasts all day!
I agree with you both! I just discovered this! Love the Maybelline Super Stay skin tint! It does not feel like makeup is on your face! That is my go to! 🎉
Agree!
Wayne - would these foundations also be applicable to my age of 60? Thanks so much!
Great to see the Rose Inc tinted serum getting some love from someone as influential as Wayne! Always surprised I don’t hear more about it in these “glass-skin” / “natural makeup” trending times!
Glad though 😂....I think the ones he named with serum and a splash of color is so light that anything below it is borderline going without foundation?? Right 💜
I adore how you get straight to the point and STILL tell us what we need to know. I have loved you since the day I first saw you years ago:) Keep it up!
For medium to full coverage with a natural looking, not heavy or caked finish which of the list would you recommend?
Have you tried Haus Labs? What is your opinion on that foundation? Love your videos❤
I just tried Haus Labs! I love it!
I’ve been using L’Oreal infallible 32 hour foundation that has sunscreen and vitamin C, and has very good coverage without looking Casey and it’s not expensive
I agree, this is excellent and has become my regular "work" foundation.
Sizin favori fondoteniniz hangisi ? Light md mat olmayan parlak bitisli ama kapaticiligi yuksek hangisini onerirsiniz , charlett tilbity flawles ile ysl mat fondoteni arasinda kaldik
If you haven’t seen Nikki LaRose’ video of “Wayne Goss” makeup look, you HAVE to see it! Gorgeous! Thank you for making it possible!!
Wondering if theres any reason you excluded Haus Labs? Im older and really enjoying it, didnt know if there were issues with it.
I absolutely love it too!! I was using Makeup Forever Reboot the past 3yrs & just recently started using Haus Labs. Love them both. 💖😊💖👏👏👏👏👏
Great picks Wayne. The foundations I've loved this year is Hourglass ambient soft glow foundation it's fantastic for when i want full coverage, i also love the Nars soft matte for full coverage. When i want medium coverage i absolutely love Nars light reflecting foundation, Guerlain terracotta la teint foundation, Laura Mericier flawless weightless foundation and my oldie but goodie is Armani luminous silk foundation 😊
i feel no one give the charlotte tilbury airbrush flawless foundation the rave it deserves. it looks so beautiful and skin like with coverage with a slight glow and easy to blend. absolutely beautiful.
Yes I love it too on my combo skin. I always hear a lot of bad reviews on it 😕
I always apply a thin layer of foundation but this one looked so cakey on me and it emphasized all my pores and created texture I don’t even have.
Love Sheer Glow, makes me look flawless! Non-irritating and blurring. I have dry skin.
How about Ellis Faass. I have very dry skin & usually most foundations make my skin cakey. So I never use foundation before, but Ellis foundation is a game changer for me
I love Luminous Silk so much…
Could you please review Dior Backstage and Guerlain Terracotta foundations?
I'm shocked two of mine are on the list. I've tried others but keep returning to my Mac and Estee
Hi Wayne! Can you please recommend your favorite foundation for olive undertones? A video on identifying olive undertones would also be helpful :)
Not sure if this is helpful, but Alexandra Anele has a fair olive skintone and has lots of videos on finding the right foundation. Good luck!
Hannah Louise Poston has olive undertone and is very fair skinned, she has several videos on finding the right foundation and using color correctors to help get the perfect shade.
Disappointed there wasn’t a powder foundation. I’m still using Laura Geller Balance and Brighten and probably won’t change, I have two in my backup stash.
Yes please! Am a medium olive
I'm a dark olive, practically a unicorn since most companies still think most dark people are red, golden (a lil better)... I feel like I've only seen a hint of dark olive by Bobbi Brown and Boots No7.
I like that your videos are informative and to the point. No rambling…ur an OG!
So glad to see someone talk about the newly reformulated Teint Idole Ultra Wear. It's beautiful and now if feels more lightweight than the original and still with a beautiful flawless finish.
Which would you reccomend for matture dry skin (over 65)?
Lancôme is my jam! I’m glad I came to Wayne for affirmation!!!
you forgot Lisa Eldrigde 😮
I will wear Mac Face & Body until the day they discontinue it. it's my all-time favorite foundation. I rub it into my skin until it gets tacky, let it dry, and my skin looks perfect all day. 13535/10
Armani luminous silk for me ❤
You are SO handsome wow
I think you would love the fenty stick foundation! Prep the skin right and it’s surprisingly the only one I travel with now!
I love the Nars light reflecting foundation. It's my #1. Wayne, have you ever tried Salt New York foundation? It is a cream product, and comes in loose pans for a magnetic palette. It applies well with whatever method/ tool you choose. I love it.
MAC Face and Body. Best discovery of 2023 for me!
Thank you ❤
I love Dior backstage!
it doesn’t set in fine lines and pores and the shades are natural
What would you pick for your absolute Top 3 Full Coverage Long Wear Matte Foundation for older skin? (53). Not oily or dry, doesn't matter. Im disabled and live on a very low monthly check. So i cant afford to buy a ton of different ones. If i only have to purchase 1 or 2 im not too worried about the price. 😊
You look absolutely fantastic!! Glad to see your content and recommendations! ❤
I love watching your videos but I wish you had at least 1 drugstore recommendation!
Love your videos.. I would love to see the best combos pairing (foundation + primers) according to skin type. Have a wonderful 2024!!
Great video!!! Im in my 50s and have used many foundations. My 2 favourites are Nars sheer glow and Bareminerals original powder ❤
Hi dear! Could you please film a video with the best primers please?
A combo I randomly discovered this year and have adored is Mac Face and Body + Estee Lauder Double Wear. This mix is perfect❤🎉😊
Wish you had some cheap ones too
You don’t need anyone to tell you that the major makeup companies like Covergirl, Loreal, Revlon, Maybelline all make great products. As do many other companies. I have tried highend makeup and I haven’t found one I prefer over drugstore. I won’t spend ridiculous amounts of money on marketing! The RCMA is probably the best option because they aren’t just marketing.
Then the same should apply to the more expensive makeup too, by your logic theese type of videos would be completely unnessesary
So why are you here?
Oh my goodness it’s been so long since I’ve watched any of your videos!!! Just wanted to say that I’ve been a 10 year fan of yours. I will definitely be catching up with all of your content.
Well, for me it's the Wayne Goss Foundation. I do love that you do thiss video. I mean, not everything works for everybody. It's always good to have options.
Can you do a video with best foundation 2023 for very, very dry skin? ❤
I think I've tried almost everyone of these recommended foundations, except for RCMA. I have trouble finding a match for my skin tone, and I always want a light coverage. My search continues for the perfect liquid foundation. Thanks Wayne, for always being on top of the makeup industries "best of the best" recommendations. Oh, by the way, your cat's pregnant?
Have you tried the Mac Studio Radiance Serum foundation? It’s very good. I like Mac because they have shades for every skin tone and many of their foundations don’t have fragrance in them.
Wayne, you are looking so gorgeous! How do you look better every year?? Unfair! ❤❤
Thank you Wayne. On the point and just professional. I love the fact that you mentioned all the "oldies but goldies". Sending lots of love
Would you recommend RMCA foundation for mature 60+ skin? I do like full coverage. Thanks for all your tutorials, short and to the point!!
No Bobbi Brown Skin foundation? It's amazing, hydrating, water based.
I just came across this video! I first watched all your videos when I was 16 and now im 26! You helped me put on the best makeup in high school! 😂❤ glad to see you still do videos yay!
Applause for keeping this short. Thank you!
A little goes a long way with the PAT McGrath. Really incredible product.
Well. It is good to see 2 out of 4 of my favorites is listed. You mentioned NARS light reflecting and Pat McGrath but no Haus Labs or Armani?
Could you do a video on using the RCMA foundations? I bought a few shades and a contour but don't know how to use them the right way.
Their colour range is amazing and the texture of the foundation looks wonderful...I looked at some tutorials on here but could never get it looking right so gave up. I also had the contour shade and shades for the undereye discolouration but could never get them to go on smoothly. I think much depends on your skin type AND what moisturiser/primer you use.. Hopefully Wayne will give us some much needed advice!
After trying everything from Walgreens to Nordstrom, I’m back to Estee Lauder Doble Wear. I get so many compliments on my skin!
"Amazing" "Wonderful" "Beautiful" "Like Skin" "Stunning" "Lovely"
Then everyone claps and swoons as if he's actually said anything real about the foundations.
Any foundation suggestion for somewhat dry skin dealing with rosacea? I like a more skin like finish.
As a MUA i looooved the tilbury „light wonder“ foundation. I hated tho how they never extended the shade range and now it looks like they discontinued it. But it was sooo good.
Light Wonder was the first of CT's foundations I bought, and I prefer it over all the others. Such a shame it was discontinued 😕.
@@katyp.2495 thank you. all the others are caky af. Especially the first one. I had to use it for a job because the client insisted and it was really hard to make it look like skin…
@barbiebreakout. Flawless finish was my least favourite. No matter how little I used, it always looked too heavy. I still don't think I've found my perfect foundation yet, where the consistency, the colour and the undertone is perfect 🤔.
@@katyp.2495 maybe i can help. What exactly are you looking for?
I did not like the Pat Mcgrath foundation expensive and feel like the coverage isnt what I expected.
Don’t use foundation with alcohol in it. Alcohol breaks down collagen in the skin and you’ll look older faster 😢
My lancome foundation is here 😍😍😍
My personal holy grail product is NARS light reflecting foundation. So happy to see you mention it. What do you think about Trinny London foundations Wayne? I tried the BFF serum de-stress and loved it.
Nothing has knocked my Luminous Silk off the holy grail podium, but a few you mention here have come close…
Who makes the Luminous Silk? Is it light or medium coverage?
@@angelabiery-jones5556 it’s Armani. It is medium coverage but looks very natural.
@@angelabiery-jones5556It's Armani.Lovely, easy-to use product, light coverage but you can build it up to medium.
I've never been a liquid foundation girl.. I'm a sweater.. liquids just run down my neck - even now, in my 60s.
I favor powders. My favorite is Clinique double powder in a long discontinued shade; matte petal. I miss it.
Make up forever is amazing. I'm also using Il Makiage. Il Makiage has so many colors. Amazing stuff for brown skin.
Hey Wayne! Thank you so much for the sharing! The RCMA foundation I am searching online is with a white lid, which is different from yours with black lid. Are they the same? Thanks!
Whew. I have loved and used Teint Idole for years. The colour match is perfect for me.
I’ve been using Pat McGrath Fetish Foundation and it’s a great quick and go. I only buy it on sale.
I bought the Mac foundation. It's absolutely amazing!
What would you recommend that’s similar to Dior air flash or Sephora’s dupe version 😢 both are discontinued and now I’m scrambling to find something light yet buildable full coverage with a natural matte (almost skin like) finish
Merit is absolutely awful - I bought it on Wayne’s recommendation and I regret it. It doesn’t spread evenly and is terribly expensive for a very small amount of product.
I hate it too
Love my MAC Studio Sculpt, its perfect for my mature skin of colour 😘. I love knowing there are other brilliant foundations out there to try.... thanks a million for all that you do for us as there are soo many products out there to choose from!!❤. Btw Luvve your black cozy dressing gown xx
Which one would be best for " maturing" oily skin? I would really appreciate your opinion ❤ So tired of Estee Lauder doublewear, used forever but they don't actually have the right shade for me!!
I like the Mac face and body, but I live in a hot and humid climate so I feel like my skin gets oily faster with it 😅 I always have to set it with powder
Your wink and smile at the end melted me. Love your work! Thank you!😊
